BRAND NEW Shoes For My ARRMA Kraton EXB - I’m DONE With The DBoot COPPERHEAD 2 TIRES!!

In this video I put brand new tires onto my Arrma Kraton EXB. I choose to go with the Dboot Backflip 6S tires off of the 1/8 scale Arrma Outcast 6s.

And is there a follow up video to this? I was checking out your channel and didn’t see one.
I think the fact that the back flip tires are taller and narrower than the dboots they definitely won’t let the EXB handle that well.
Also, maybe don’t cover the vents when it’s dry out. That may have been the reason for it blowing out. I only cover them when I run in the wet which honestly isn’t that often. To date I’ve never blown out a tire. Maybe just lucky there or maybe it’s because I don’t cover the vents.
I’m running a 15 T on one and a 14T on the other EXB so they’re not too geared up.

I can’t remember if there is a follow up or not…..it’s an old video….yeah mine is running a 15t as well…..I’m not the kind of person who’s gonna take the time to put tape on the wheels and then back off every time I run it in the wet…..also I doubt that was the reason they blew but I could be wrong

deciding between these and TRA8979 sledgehammers
want something thinner than Badlands MX38 as a second more agile set to my TrencherX
have also the original badlands 3.8 and like them but they are a bit too short for the E-Revo

I like these tires overall…they’ve held up way better than the Copperhead 2 tires…they don’t balloon up too bad either

You also said that the copperheads 2 were softer That might be what I want on my summit. The stock tires on the summit are awesome but it’s easy to get holes in the sides because they’re so soft.

Yeah the copperhead 2 definitely would work better than the dboot backflips….they are on the small side though

Did you try the Dboots On your Traxxas summit? I need some new tires for my summit and just curious. I know they’re skinnier but that would be better for rock climbing thanks

I hate all the arrma stock rims but i kinda dig the kraton 6s dboots.If you had to pick the ones you like best i recommend to buy a new set of them and remove the tires by baking them taping with the same gorilla tape you have and glue them back.Its almost like buying belted tires but you made them yourself.Its about a hour and a half of work but you have the wheels you prefer and your tires are belted(Taped)I never settle for less.

I’m going to disagree here. I bought two 6s exb’s for $320 each on that Black Friday sale and I found these tires to offer tremendous grip. , They also didn’t balloon really at all at high speed and haven’t blown out one tire.
I do enjoy your channel so we’ll just agree to disagree here.
Can’t wait for the 4s Outcast snd Kraton V2’s to come out next month. Just preordered the Outcast🏄‍♂️💪🏻

All comes down to your experience……I’ve blown open two of the Copperhead 2 tires……it could come down to other stuff…..such as the gearing we’re running or what our punch level is set at…..from my experience….they balloon too much

Alcohol is an ok way of cleaning oils. But I’ve found WD-40 works much better at cleaning grease, oil, and even rust

I could see that for rust…but wd40 is kinda greasy and oily. It definitely wouldn’t be used for surface prep before painting or any type of adhesion
