Taking off assists in F1 23 was the best decision I've made in gaming in a while. So much fun when you start getting it right, you have to learn everything all over again and it's extremely satisfying to beat personal bests and improve this way. Also, these skills transfer to other games. I haven't used TC or ABS on Gran Turismo in months since I'm learning good driving habits by disabling assists. Great Vid Marcel we appreciate you! 🙏
Brake markers but it takes time, just need to practice, see ur reference points and analyze ur lap, see where u lose time don’t just endlessly drive and drive without seeing where you are losing time
Rem good tips at all the replies. Also, try to separate HEAVY BRAKING and EASY BRAKING spots on the track. If it's heavy: 100 - 125 m. If it's easy: 50 - 75 m. (Also will vary along the race with the weight loss in fuel). Also, try to train your brain to understand braking as a phase, not a place or specific spot. This will help you to modulate throttle and braking pressure more smoovely. Think that you're not using your breaks for stopping. You're using them for control. On easy braking zones, for example, you can turn smashing the brakes. But bc it was easy, you could've not stopped so much. I've realized that myself not long ago. Has been crazy helpful.
braking in a chair that has wheels (with brakes but they are not rly good) and a rig that doesnt connect to the chair is hard :D i rly need to watch out that i dont oush myself away. the rig gets pressed against my table
I'm not new to racing games but I am new to using a racing wheel for racing games. Im using a logitech g923 and it's fun to use but I am terrible at driving in the game. I am always last and am always miles away from the drivers. I've had it for four days now and don't see any improvement even when all the assist settings are turned off.
I'm a new f1 player, I've been tryna learn trailbreaking however I'm on a controller so when I try to brake it automatically goes to 100% power no matter how light I hold the trigger, any tips?
On controller without aids, i'm locking nearly everytime (brake bias 50-56%) and my car is going straight when i'm braking so even when decreasing brake pressure it's early impossible for me to turn
Trailbreak, first go into the corners as if you’re saving fuel so come off the vroom vroom and start breaking, see how quickly you slow down, you might realise you’re breaking too late.
@@n0body550 Yeah I’m already trailbraking but I’m struggling to have an efficient pressure decrease on my trigger. And an another problem without traction control is that my car loose grip when accelerating (I accelerate the right way after the apex and progressively but still loose the grip), If I want my grip to be good I have to accelerate really, really slowly
press the upshift when you hear the car scream (do it before it screams too much out of the corners or you will spin), spam the downshift while braking. DONE
No ABS will make you faster? Short answer: no long answer: no but yes, it will foce you to learn proper braking/ trail braking and this way of braking will actually allow you to be more optimal and also faster.
Its the same, if you can drive with no tc you can brake with out abs, you just need to build sensibility Theres a lot do players playing Elite with controller

Can you make a Tutorial on how to drive without driving line (knowing when to brake)?
Break markers

That’s just something you learn with practice lmao.
1 week trying to play without ABS, was imposible for me, now i just change the setting to 56 and 55% like you and is TOO EASY OMFG.
When I bought my wheel i tried to off assist, of course couple days i struggled but now getting better every day.
Anyone else feel like it’s a vice grip when you barely tap the break ie locks up so easy

Marcel, I love all your tutorial videos, you give amazing suggestions. I really hope oneday you win esports championship, you deserve it
hey marcel please can you do car performance test? non -equal performance lap time
I'm a new F1 fan
Thanks for this video I'm tired of coming last in ranked lol

You’re probably breaking too late and turning too late
Try trailbraking
Thing is if I hit the brakes hard instant lockup
Try lowering your Brake Bias to lower than 60%
Edit: But don't lower it too much because you increase the chance of oversteer

if u are on pc use controller that has Xinput like logitech f 710 or f310.
20 minutes, and i already know how to control traction with this turorial. But its extremely hard to contrrol in the rain. Thanks Marcel
The most underrated video
Trying to master this on the stiff G29 break pedal is nearly impossible
I have removed the rubber and exchanged clutch with brake. Did wonders for me!
@@NotAnInfluencer-xj5oo might try that
@@NotAnInfluencer-xj5ooIf You exchanged the clutch with the brake, why did You remove the rubber? Thx for Your response.
I felt the brake was excessively stiff! Without the rubber, it makes it easy to trail brake. @@baumjanesz

11.5k RPM up shift point, around the first purple light on dash
Great Video!! now to go practice!!

Since when?! 😮
Versuche mittlerweile drei Tage ohne abs und ohne Break lock keine Chance mit Controller 😅
How you hold more than 2 sec?..my wheel instanly lockup after it touch 100%😢
