We went for a cruise down here when I was in San Antonio. Walked out on a pier and talked to some fishermen. They said they were catching bull sharks and were only 50 meters away from surfers who were surfing terrible waves. One of the oddest beaches I’ve ever seen. Still love it though.

Well it is true. I learned in Biology that sharks actually do not like the taste of human blood. When they bite a human, it’s because they think that the human is a fish or another sea creature and let go when they realize it’s human. But yea it is very unfortunate that the damage is already done.

Can anyone that knows about sharks weigh in?
Why is it that attacks are always back to back? Like once one happens, several more follow. What causes this behavior? For example, I was recently looking at fatal shark attack statistics by region in the U.S. and there's always usually back to back attacks and sometimes just a few short months apart and then an attack won't happen in that place for years. Why is that? What causes this? I just find it odd that lightning strikes in the same place.
Notable examples would be the Jersey attacks that inspired Jaws and then fatal attacks in Hawaii, Florida, and the rare fatal ones in Puerto Rico. PR for example had 2 in the same year and then none for decades.
