@@gizziesgarage6332 I think a lot of your complaints for differences could be made up for with a tune on the GT. Easy to tweak throttle response with a tune. The biggest thing the GT350 has over a normal GT in my opinion is the transmission and the cooling potential. The 350 is gonna take abuse a lot longer before it overheats. Otherwise it wouldn’t take a whole lot to get the GT to similar levels of performance
@@GolfCoyote totally agree. I think the GT is a much better daily as well. I really liked it. I also think the coyote motor is a better base to add a supercharger the my 2018 voodoo engine. 2019 they made a lot of changes to the voodoo to make it stronger to be able to handle a supercharger.
It’s not fair to compare this to the gt350. The S550 is insane for what it is. I have the 2020 10R80 with performance pack and it is fast as hell. With a tune the car wakes up too.
I'm looking at buying one very soon. I want a manual but I've heard really bad things about the trans. Do you ever get bored of the auto? Cause that's what I'm leaning towards...

I'll say this... To anyone who has not driven a new Mustang since 2018 then please do. If you want a fun comfortable car for a good price it is hard to beat. I was looking for reasons not to buy one but after my test drive I had to have it and have loved my 2018 GT Premium ever since. Plus, there are so many ways to make it different and make it yours.

My son's 1st car was an Iroc Camaro, then a really fast firebird after that. He can drive better than me, lol and took great car of it. My stepson got a 4-cylinder Hyundai Sonata and would drive like crazy fast in it and ruined the car b/c he was too immature to handle the responsibility. So, if you can be smart then you are good. If not, then you can be an idiot in any car. You can easily guess which kid is now successful in life and the other has been in jail on does drugs. Life is what you make it. The choice is yours. Watch all the videos of crashes from all the people who thought they could drive dangerously and they got hurt or worse. Good luck.

I would have opted for a Premium PP1, a choice between Recaros or Magneride. Wouldn't be off by that much. You get more bracing, brakes, tires, front and rear spoiler, and a better throttle tune.
I test drove one and when I stepped on it I thought it was pretty slow but then I realized it was on normal mode. When I put it on track mode and traction control off there was a lot of power.
I've got a '22 GT Premium in Shadow Black with the Black Accent package on order, should be here in a few days. Best I can tell, the car you're driving here is exactly the same.
Sport+ makes a difference on your throttle response you are mentioning but yes a factory performance tuned gt350 isn’t even close to a comparison besides the basic body.
I prefer to rev match on my own. That's not a feature you can install into your Shelby lol. Just rev match it on your own man... It's so easy to do and feels a lot better doing it yourself.
Yes, you can get a kit to put rev match on a Shelby. I’ve watched videos of guys that have done it. It doesn’t come factory, but it can be done. I believe they call it “auto blip”

Everyone says get the 10r80 and that’s what I’m getting sometime this month or the next found one with the color I want and all the options 8k miles selling for 43k wish I would’ve bought one before corona hit but I don’t mind paying more since the new s650 not looking good
@@karlhungus8946 just don’t like the front end and interior... the electric motors for front wheels will make it quicker but not a fan I bought a 2020 mustang Gt for 37k with 7k miles with the 301a package ... the new generation will be more than 50k

Does the dash say 1st gear when ur stopped at a light or did you just keep it in gear with clutch in? Sometimes I forget what gear I’m in it’s nice it says on the screen.
I learned more about his gt 350 than I did about the GT he was reviewing.

You could always manually rev match the Shelby. Just saying. Takes a bit of practice but you got it. The Shelby will love you for it.
