Ive got a Base model Mustaang GT and drove it today in the Sport mode by Accident and Boy What A Difference It Makes!!! So Much More Enjoyable Driving My Car Now, but I Got to watch out or Im gonna have a Super high gas bill !!! Gonna drive it Sport Mode once in a while ;)
Changing the modes itself is a huge plus. I can be rocking sport plus mode and having the exhaust in track mode. Or when the street is wet, rock it in wet/snow mode and comfort steering and just have the exhaust on track still… best thing ever !
I love the sport mode on my 2019. I usually cruise in sport as well unless I'm cruising a long distance on the highway then its just in normal until I have to pass someone.
2020 GT premium convertible, except it has the Ford Performance pp2 w/tune. Normal mode is what I use for daily driving, but I think the tune helps with better shifting intervals and throttle response
I do the same: sport+, "S" position instead of "D" (to let manually selected gear stay in that position), and "sport" mode for the steering wheel. All that remains is to find enough empty patch of road ahead :-).
I daily drive my ‘18 GT PP1 in Sport Mode 99.9% of the time. I recently installed the pedal commander and it’s even more enjoyable. Touchy throttle but very responsive when you need to move. Personally i think Ford should have tuned the NORMAL mode to behave the way SPORT mode does - throttle wise. NORMAL is way too sluggish.
So I tuned my car and I was doing some pulls with some friends and ironically I believe it was my pedal Commander that was responsible for it because it didn't happen till after I tuned it that my throttle actuator got out of sync and threw a check engine light and it ran like complete dog crap till I kind of did a restart sequence on it and I think the throttle Commander combined with my tune was just too much on the throttle and just wide open it too fast or too much and completely threw it out of sink so I'm trying to debate whether or not I want to take my pedal Commander off lol. I think I might have been partially responsible because I didn't know you couldn't change the pedal Commander modes while driving I mean you can but it's really not good for it I guess and you should do it from a complete stop
I’m mostly driving in sport mode, since I have the base model I only have normal and sport but sport is really aggressive sounds so great, then when I’m driving to work I’ll be in normal drive mode to save gas. Manual mode for when I want to sound loud and douchy haha
@@whatchef supposedly the delay with mine had to do with factories being closed. Now that it's built and in transit the hope is that the delays are over. Once you're past the "production" and "arranging transportation" parts, you should be on the final countdown.
Do you have to manually shift when in sport/drag/track mode or does it shift automatically in any of those modes ? Also, do you have to shift the stick to S when driving in those more aggressive modes ? Sorry, I’m new to Mustangs. I just bought a 2022 GT Premium and I know it’s under warranty but I don’t wanna mess up anything. Please advise. Thanks!
in my first 150km of spirited driving so far in my 2016 GT PP1 I have only used the normal more (I am on manual and no-magneride though) and I've been having great fun already on some b-roads....I wouldn't say it's not fun (corsa extreme cb might have added some fun to it) I did switch it to sport mode for steering though, I think on normal it's a bit over-assisted for any spirited driving
Hi, love the video! I m going from owning a 2016 mustang v6 3.7L for almost 2 years and i loved it... Do you feel like the 10 speed is a giant difference in power almost like you need to re-learn how to drive because its too fast ??? Please reply, thank you! I subbed.
I did the exact same thing from a 2017 v6 stang to a 2019 pp1 gt stang 10 spd. It's not hard at all but you have to get used to all that power. It's an auto so it's easy to drive
I just got my 2020 mustang ( automatic)and I’m a daily driver. Will the sport + mode mess up my car? I have used it a few times and take off is jerky sometimes. I like the sound of the exhaust in sport + though
I drive my car in sport+ mode every day, no issues so far! It might be that your transmission is trying to learn your driving habits since it's new. Automatic cars these days are adaptive to the drivers driving habits. Give your car a couple hundred miles to adapt and it should get better. If it's excessively herky jerky, you might want to take it to the dealership.
I barely drove in normal mode before I got the tune, but from what I can tell, Normal mode does feel improved compared to before the tune install lol. I do notice a significant improvement in the other modes as well.
What’s up brother I have a 2020 Ford mustang GT performance pack level one. One day I wanted to daily drive on drag strip mode Just to try it out and the throttle response felt kind of slow is that normal
I love driving in sports plus mode on my 2019 gt. But it’s super jerky feeling. Regular normal mode is super sluggish to me as well! Love your videos btw
Have you gotten the Ford Performance calibration kit? The tune smoothes out the shifts so it's less jerky. And thanks for watching out videos! Please subscribe if you haven't already, and if you have, thanks for the support!
JDub Twins No, I never knew there was such a tune available that wouldn’t void the warranty. I always throw tunes out bc I figured they would void the warranty and I always buy extended warranties on the cars I buy. I am definitely gonna give it a look. Thanks man!
Question for you, does your car shift real hard into 3rd when in sport mode? I have 2019 GT and when it goes into the 3rd just driving normally (in sport mode) it throws you back. Wondering if every mustang is like that or something wrong with mine
Bruh, you cannot multitask 😂. You repeated everything more than once and spoke really slowly. Better to talk about the car when it's stationary, so that you can talk to us directly and then show us what the car has to offer later on haha. Good video though.

These videos are great. Two weeks before mine arrives, so learning as much as i can before hand.
If it weren't for COVID mine would have been here almost two months ago. I'm losing my mind over here...
Hang in there! It'll make finally get your Mustang just that much more awesome lol.

V8 Rumble keep a check on that oil for the first couple thousand miles. after a quality break in period nothing to worry about. enjoy!

Thank! Great info!
You have a Mustang and challenger my Dream cars congrats!
Thanks! I (Josh) have the Mustang, my brother Joseph has the Challenger! But yes they are both awesome cars!
Whats up man how about drag mode is it faster? I just bought a 2021 pp1 i havent tried drag mode yet
Track mode doesn’t affect suspension
I’ve got the magnaride so every drive is awesome

Sport plus and track exhaust for me daily in my bullitt in sport and track and drag you get pops and farts too
Same.
Sport+ with Track exhaust is perfect in my PP1
@elmin2323 all stock exhaust you get pops??
I have the iconic silver premium 2020 , sport plus 🔥
Do you put the shifter in sport then drive mode in sport plus or do you leave the shifter in D and turn on sport plus mode?
With a manual six speed and no magna ride do the modes only change throttle response?

Track mode is best anywhere and all the time ;-).
What's the best mode for some pretty bumpy and curvy roads???
Dude try Drag Mode but be careful. It is a whole different car the 10 speed trans goes crazy in drag

is daily driving in sport+ mode harmful to your car ?
Sport+ all the way
Well I just figured out these cars come with the drive features and am now very sad the mustang I just bought does not come with it. Very sad now
So did you notice a difference in normal mode after the Ford Racing tune,or do you notice it more in the other modes?

Who gets a 'Stang without a manual ?
10 speeds are faster
You buy the manual if you want to get beat up daily laugh out loud
