If it wasn't for your video, I wouldn't have found a store that has this! Just ordered from The DJ Hookup. It was the only store that had it available 🙌🏾 .
Can you listen to your auxiliary plug in device like a I pad for a back up for a secondary device. I am always bringing a I pad for back up or music requested that I don't have in my library. I want to be able to que up a song from a secondary music source. Thinking of this controller instead of the 1000srt for serato. Great video
I might grab the Rev 5 until they update the Rev 7 bc I've heard some bad things about the Rev 7 as far as platter issues go so hopefully they'll fix that.. Until then, the Rev 5 seems like the go to
Thank you for this fantastic overview. I think this one is definitely in my future… I just wonder why they didn’t leave the 4-deck option that comes with the Rev1…?
Hello, could you tell me if this Pioneer rev five, automatically also equals apart from the BPM, the key, so that the tonality is the same or I misheard the transition , thank you very much.
Does the aux input go direct through the master output and uses the master levels for volume control or one of the channels? Also, do the mics use one of the deck channels dedicated for each, or both mic inputs go through the master as I mentioned for the aux input? Hope that makes sense.
Great video ! I have been wanting to invest in turntables/ Controller for 30 years lol. Iim finally going to do it. II was locked in on the Rev 1 but now the Rev 5 dropped I'm wondering gif this is A good starting point because it gives me something to grow into as well. Is this good for a beginner or would you rec the Rev 1 ?
Go for it. I was spinning records back in the days, and I learned on Technic 1200mk2. Top of the line at the time. I was 14 when I got those. Stopped DJing at 35. Got burned out. I don't think of a controller as beginner, and pro. If you like it and can afford to get it, do so. With any controller, you have to learn how to use it. Plenty of information on the web. I am 58 and just got back into it 2 years ago and my first controller was the DDJ-1000srt. I now teach a DJ class at the high School were I work. Go for it, and ENJOY.
Thanks Mark. Since we are here I have another question. What about the Rev 7 ? Since I want to get into vinyl as well I read I should look into that more.
The Rev-7 is amazing. I think you will like it. I just picked one up last month and tying to learn as much as I can about it. Having used turntables I felt right to me. It has effects that you wont find on other controllers. I think you will like it. Reminds me of the 1200's but better. Stop by one of the stores in your area and check them out. REV5 and REV7. Some stores have demos you can try. All controllers look intimidating at first, especially if you are not used to it. Once you know what does what, you will be fine. Have fun and create.@@beanmediaLV
I haven't watch the full video yet, but does this controller have mechanical jogs like a CDJ? It looks like it... - I'll delete the comment if you say so in the video...
ALERT. I need to do another video. Now I noticed after DJ'ING for about 2 hours. When trying to activate Stems on left deck, it loads a random song from your library. THIS may be a BIGGER issue and JUST finding this out... The firmware update does NOT resolve this issue while using USB port A. #rev5 #pioneer #pioneerddjrev5 @pioneerdjglobal @pioneerdjusa

Did you ever get it ?
@@Illest.President Yes, I got it in November.
Nice video. Simple demonstration. This is definitely the controller I was seriously think about when I am upgrading this year.
Personally this was the best review for me, answered all my questions. Thank you!
Got a Rane one refurbished by Rane for 850 on reverb, looks and feels brand new! And it’s not plastic 😄

The way they handled stems on this controller is how they should have handled it on the Flx-10
That would be EXTRA dope if they had a gold vinyl special edition. Dooms Day Jeezus!!!!
Works with DJay Algoriddim??

Can you simultaneously link two laptops (or one of them iPad) and switch between USB sources A and B on the fly while mixing?
In The "Who's It For" Section, What stand is the controller sitting on?
Do you know how to factory reset the pioneer rev 5?

Excellent review! Does it work with Djay Pro AI?
Not at the moment
wish i can sell my rane 4 for the rev5
Is there a way to not have the hot cue trigger the platter to the 12 o clock position?

Thank you for a very thorough video. .makes my decision much easier. You got a like sub n comment
I was enjoying the video until I heard rekordbox. You’re a good dj. Switch to serato bruh. You’ll be amazed…
I'm a user of Serato, Rekordbox, and Engine alike at this point. But deep down somewhere, my heart still belongs to Traktor...

Is this any good for someone not fussed about scratching? I play techno 👍🏻
Works perfectly well for that! Just remember that it’s two channel.
Nice1,cheers for the reply 👍🏻
Plss which should I get , used rane one or the new rev 5, I’m upgrading from Roland 202

@@frankiefingerz8047so why are you even giving this controller a thumb down when you just said all that? Lol
