Really love your guide. I played support a lot in Vietnam server and almost 90% of them is the Jinx(litterally). They instantly go like " What the f*** do you know about AD? Shut up and play" and then spam chat with not nice word.
Btw the support guide I really need is how to 1v2 when your adc decide to troll and running down mid :( ( So many matches)
How to roam and make map impact, I play pyke and I often end up roaming atleast 5 times before I hit 6 and all my adcs complain it's a 1v2

since so far most contents on mid was about ranged mages and so on...
Support is the most frustrating role to climb with. When you push the wave the adc gets angry because he loses minions he fails to last hit. When you leave the adc after pushing the wave to deep ward the enemy jungle, they instantly get collapsed on because they can't play safe for 10 sec because autoing the tower 2 times is worth risking your life for. But the most annoying thing about playing support is that late game your adc that you babysit and fed for the entire game gets cocky and goes solo laning or goes frontline, instantly getting killed and now you lost the game because your main carry is dead.
I'm in plat and I see this on a daily basis. When they are pushing bot at 30 minutes while baron is up and you ping danger 3 times and assistance in midlane/on Baron 3 times and they just won't come. Then when 3 people collapse on them they go "wtf support you are supposed to support me, I need to farm". All I can think then is: yeah, I supported you for the first 15 minutes, now I need to support the team. It's so fucking disgusting, it made me create a new account so I can go back to my old main role which is jungle. Still a shitty role because people will blame you all the time but at least I have some freedom then.
To be fair to adc's though, it's the shittiest role right now. ADC can never solo carry a game. Every other role can, but even a 20/0/0 ADC can not hard-carry unless the skillgap is so insanely big that it's likely one of them challenger smurfs. But most of the time an adc needs one other fed member to protect them or draw attention. Meanwhile a 20/0/0 Vlad, Kat, Hecarim, Jax, or something similar will just run in and instakill all the damage dealers and will instantly end the teamfight. I've been playing some carry supports bottom as well and when my adc is doing really poor I can sometimes 1v2 the lane if I get a few kills early on. Literally just need my adc to be a distraction.
I think ADC can also be pretty frustrating. As well as jungler. I am adc Main but do play supp as my secondary role. And as supp i can support the team and make sure to have wards out. As adc and your supp sucks it is hard to carry. And even when you are 7/0/2 and a Garen 5/2/3 runs at you you are basically dead. Cause a fed toplaner kinda always wins against a fed alone adc. At least I do
@@strenghsGirl Yeah, ADC have always been in a weird spot. Almost every other fed laner or jungle can kill you and you often need your team to protect you to be useful. That's why I always think that instead of pushing most of ADC power to late game, it should be spread out more evenly across the whole game.

@@nic.h Yes it is. But not many people in low elo understand that. They jump all in and than an assasin just jumps at you and you are dead. No matter how often you ping them or type.
An even easier fix: play Senna and become the ADC.
When your team is too AP heavy to go Brand.

Draven's Axes are actually really demanding, so it's not actually out of the realm. It's often the other ADC's, with really simple kit pieces to play around, that have a really bad autopilot.
I thought the same, but in my case, it was because all the Dravens i've seen, they're all like that Jinx. Once I was going to support a guy and dodged when I saw it was a Draven lol

playing with an adc is like babysitting an entitled teenager. They don't know what's the correct play but still have a big ego so we cannot ping or chat at them or they will afk. Also, whenever they fuck up, it's never their fault and we have to grit our teeth, face palm, and type "mb" to satisfy them to keep them in the game.
Nah sometimes you just have to make them afk cuz they can easily destroy an engage or give an opportunity for the enemies to start an objective. I have won many 4v5 ranked games while being support and my adc being afk. It's sad that these people don't get any good punishments and get either a chat ban or have to wait only 20 mins to go destroy another ranked game rather than getting an at least 10 days ban from any ranked game mode but we have to deal with them
This is why i switched from sup to adc getting tired of not being able to do anything

@@jlk4894 sameeee. it's annoying tho because some of my best games are when I'm support. my fav game yet is when I can distinctly remember having such a good ADC I didn't have to ping. they did the communicating. they didn't get mad at me. they were able to self-sustain and was wrecking shit up. I could roam. I felt useful. I was able to keep them alive (I love supports because there's just a satisfaction of keeping my team alive and letting them get amazing kills or plays) and see them actually become the carry for once. I don't enjoy a lot of adc champs. the only one I go to when I get stuck with it is ezreal.

Dear jungler. Our lane is always perma-pushed, but we don't have a CS lead. The enemy Twisted Fate has ganked us twice, and the enemy Rengar has ulted bot 3 times. We are both 0/4. Why you no gank?

Bryan steven because completely ignoring the lane and letting them get plowed is probably going to result in you losing the game. These are both idiotic and uninformed opinions that people have. Laners want a million ganks and think the jungler is supposed to save their lane and junglers think spending any time on a losing lane is entirely lost. Both are equally stupid and show a disgustingly poor understanding of the game and roles.
@@Theevilrhino 0-8 bot is beyond help, best the adc can hope for is to pick up some kills in teamfights, which can only happen if there is someone else to focus on for the enemy team, otherwise they will just beeline for the easy target

Happened to me, but I was the 5/1 adc and my support decided to feed togzther with the 0/4 midlaner
I always remember that one, I've done stole blue from the enemy jungler (red side), two perfect gank bot + Drake at 5m, I was like 3/0/1. Perfect early, jungle won. I back and was about to come topside to reclean jungle and maybe gank top.
I didn't even had the time to get there that my toplaner was already flaming me for "doing nothing" in the game and being "useless".
People like to blame their error on other way too much
and if you're gold or lower the answer is even easier: simply play brand

Roaming as Pyke is pretty good. Even if your ADC sucks, you can help Mid and Jungle get fed with dragon and kills. Plus you get tons of gold with your ulti, so you can do more dmg, than your weak adc.

The best feeling as a Sup Main is... when you're ADC flames you and cries, you leave him, are 0-0-9 10 minutes later, win the game for this useless ADC and get 3 honors... because everyone on your team except the stupid ADC realized how well you are playing...
This reminds me of my good old bronze games like 7 years ago... where the focus in the chat often drifted from "Report the support for inting." or "Report bot" to just "report the ADC"...
The best feeling as an ADC main is having a hyper passive support do nothing in lane and have you go down 30-50 cs and maybe even some deaths.
Then after lane where they have less agency you double their kill participation and carry your team despite the wannabe babysitter. So you can ask them why and watch the excuses post game.

@@miradics3988 ngl, as a support main, I rarely get amazing adcs. and I love an adc who pings instead of me and making just generally great calls. when I realize they are just doing well (sometimes I forget to actually type it until late game) I try my best to let them know they were awesome. like those few games are some of the best games I ever had.

1 they do get more exp on their own putting them in lv advantage. 2 bard is a roaming type his more useful roam ganking lv3 or just ward around

Also, if your adc says "play a tank support" the second you hover an enchanter, just dodge. Save yourself the struggle.

While this can be true, it could also mean the ADC wants to play a specific pick which works better with aggressive CC supports. Or maybe that the comp lacks engage/frontline.
An alternative is that they looked up your ranked stats and saw you have a very high win rate on tank supports compared to enchanters. Probably not relevant for most supports though.
In conclusion, there are no human rights as a support player.
You have the right to remain calm.
You have the right to 1 or 2 pings
Meanwhile my adc stays close to enemy tower I keep pinging we havenno vision cause my trinket is on cd and he hasn't used any ward. I go back to base trying to encourange him to do the same as I know a gank is coming, moron stays and dies...of course its my fault.

Depends on the situation (what lane matchup it is) but if you are able to help them fast push the wave to crash into tower then you should, even if you think it's bad. Once your ADC has already started to auto the wave the bounce is ruined and you have to shove it. Again it depends on the situation, not every time will you be able to fast push the wave that close to their tower. Also the reason your ADC is greeding without vision could be they're close to gold for an item (noonquiver, pickaxe, or completed item) and it would be bad for them to base when they only need one wave of gold.
I think many adcs think they know what they're doing and wont listen to you. Obviously your usually not a challenger, so you will make some false decisions too, which are going to upset the adc -> he wont listen to you anymore. Plus the Ego is often to high, to let themselves be "carried" in early game

Setting up a freeze in low elo basically only leads the enemy team to dive you 90% of the time😅 your jgl looks on the map, sees that you are fine and ints toplane in the meantime

Its important to get to level 6 first, cause roaming might put you into a level disatvantage and sup is the worst payed job there is.
I main adc and supp at the same time, im plat 4 in both accounts (1 only adc and 1 only supp) and when i play adc i would like to have a supp like me and when i play supp i would like to have an adc like me

Half of playing adc or support is trying to understand how your partner plays. You have to sus out as fast as possible if you can actually rely on them, and if you can't, then just don't go for any plays that would require them to play perfectly. It sucks but it is what it is

Hahaha I rotated to mid when I had a bad Aphelios. He was so tilted and told everyone I should be reported because "I'm throwing by leaving him." Luckily the whole team turned on him at the end since my score was better than him.
Honestly I've had good success with this, but at the same time, I get flamed super hard by everyone to not do it "because supports need to be bot all laning phase", and it just becomes a very uncomfortable match.
There's even been instances where my adc would just afk in fountain the moment I left for a roam.

Well you just cant trust your ez who e-d in at lvl 2 into both of the enemy players or vayne qing into enemies lvl 1, its really visible when adc has no clue about threat level of enemies
Body league is not the right call here in this situation. In a legue scenarios the movement of a player is the body language. They used it more for a micro/macro decisioning. But still body language is not wrong either because the playing style of a human is different based their physical skills and their reaction in stressful or important situations. If they are more confident they will likely play more aggressive.
So the turks in my game are right?

So one of many incidents that happened to me: 1) I killed enemy adc because my adc was low, I was afraid he/she would die 2) I get flamed 3) next scenario both adc’s low, enemy adc just one hit in bush 4) I warded and did not finish enemy adc on purpose 4) MY ADC SOMEHOW GETS KILLED 5) adc flames me for not finishing adc to save him/her.... (even though it was an easy kill and I made to easy enough for her to aa)
Support players have the STRONGEST mental out of all the roles 100%.
Another note: that tip about moving to an area where a fight WILL be rather than moving when the fight has already started is such a simple yet huge tip for me because I always feel like I'm so LATE to these skirmishes. BLESS UP

@@supremebohnenstange4102 In general it's best for a jg or support to be ganking lanes that are doing well. A gank to a lane doing well is more likely to result in a kill for your team and you getting an assist. Ganking a bot which is doing bad is more risky, you might get a couple of kills and relieve some pressure, but it's probably just as likely to result in 3 kills for the enemy adc. So the general rule is to stick with the safer more reliable play. I.e. gank your feed lanes
People always blame in this game i don’t understand 😭😭 it has to be a representation of them in real life because some people are blind to blaming themselves
Yeah, that thing is called the Dunning-Kruger Effect, and it happens pretty often IRL too, but most often you'll see it in gaming.
And I'm gonna be honest, I think it happens to pretty much everyone (maybe not to everyone, but like 95% of people rather). Even I had moments where I messed up once or twice, but I was still mainly thinking about our teammate's mess ups (I didn't type or spam ping because of it though). And I'm not an egoist or a toxic person or anything like that, but this is just how the human brain works. You only look at your possible mistakes after looking through everybody else's. And it's important to try to fix this thing. It's a hard process, but it will definitely pay off in the long run (I've been trying my best to fix it too, and it's absolutely worth it).
On the other hand there are people who actively flame and insult their teammates in chat, if things are going badly. Those guys are either:
a - jerks that didn't have good parents (cus they let him become a jerk)
or b - they're just too stupid (or too tilted) to realize that flaming makes your teammates play worse (cus it tilts them)
and c - it could just be both.
that's literally everyone in this world. Its always a first and primary instinct to blame someone else, because as soon as you are the fault, it feels, or everyone assumes that you will lose something. No one will ever blame themselves first.
@@BamB00zled100 well I certainly blame myself at times and usually acknowledge it with a "mb" in chat on particularly bad plays, so teammates at least know that I recognized I made a mistake. Think it can help with flaming, well sometimes at least.
im so glad I found this video cause I really love playing support It's just fun to help your teammates but it gets annoying when adcs want you to die for them or when they want you to burn all abilities and summoners just for them to poke

Low elo every time I roam my adc runs in 2v1 like he is 25/0
I duo with my brother who's an adc main, and he always gets supports trying to all in while he's low on resources or try to get to his level 6 spike (he one-tricks Xayah) in other words we're experiencing a lot of tilted supports complaining about how he doesn't know how to auto or position, looking at some of those replays tells me that yes, sometimes the support is right, but most often are just eager to fight (even though they are being slow pushed into) I just wanted to tell you support mains to play around your adcs strengths and try to identify whether or not it was the adcs fault... Or yours.
This game is all about team play that people ofter forgot. Playing duo on a lane and loosing is never fault of only one person. Its a responcibility of all team members to try respond and adapt to situations. But sadly this is something rare to see in low elo.

Not all supports play the same and same thing with adc players! If I'm not confortable doing a play or following someone, I shouldn't say yes sir or yes mam, that's stupid.

But what do I do if my adc is EXTREMELY passive
silver player problems here
a) adc not following hook/root/stun
b) adc not hitting the 5% hp enemy (poked by supp during minutes)
c) the adc who eat every hook/root/stun
why would you play those champs in silver anyway play brand zyra and annie
A) youre probably not staying in line with your adc, if youre too far ahead, or ahead at all, the odds of them reacting AND reaching the enemy before the enemy just runs are low to nothing.

We in Silver are just bad. As a supp i see lots of bad adc and as adc i have lots of bad supps. If i happen to have a good one qe usually stomp lane.
I play a fair amount of Braum at the moment and similar to b, the number of times adcs die because they refuse to auto to get the last stack on his passive for the stun is surprisingly high in my elo at least.

Not even just that. It can be fine to E forward as ezreal like that so long as you are able to move behind minions to dodge the hook but he's also playing vs a vayne who is looking to (E) condemn you into the wall.

I do my best but I am a lvl 40 matched with lvl 100 - 200 team and against 400+ lvl team. I always apologise and they always say sth like: "You are a noob!", and I am like: "That's what I'm trying to tell you!"...
I HATE getting spam pinged, that will often cause me to play poorly or just downright mute them. If I am support I will head to different lanes and roam.

I'm a lulu main, I try to be as proactive as I can, really, and I still get yelled at when my adc dies because while I was in base they decided to START 2v1 fight 🙂 and I can write in chat all I want, they just know better and don't care I have no mana and desperately need to reset after pushing that wave
that's why I love mage supports, if my adc is useless I'll build as a mage but if my adc is good or at least listen to my calls I'll build utility
What mages can choose between damage and utility? Vel'koz and Lux are strictly damage, Karma and Lulu are strictly utility, and most of the others are either strange or engage supports.

I have been watching ya vids on youtube and they have helped. I have a better understanding of what plays are correct. However had a pyke who miss played into a larger wave after I had pushed and backed. He got taunted by galio and instantly died to 2 waves worth of minions. Then flamed and tried to roam. I tried to communicate that we should freeze, wait for the jun to gank but he hard tilted and roamed lvl 3 around the map and honestly. Got some kills but by the 3rd drake fight he was 3 lvls behind. Nearly carried the game by picking up the insane amounts of side farm that they left behind and getting a lvl advantage. This may sound like a doom and gloom post but honestly old me would have tilted along with them because I saw no path to victory. I still lost, got flamed and I think reported but we almost won that. If I had been better at farming in the early stages of the game. I would have hit that item spike 5 mins earlier and carried. Thanks for chucking ya vids on youtube, its really helped.

i was supporting a aphelios a few days ago and he was falling behind by the enemy adc rlly bad in early game and the enemy team was shit talking my adc and i just said hes probably learning adc. mid to late game he had almost 30 kills and carried the whole team and easily outscaled the enemy adc who was talking shit. we had a failed ff before aphelios started outscaling when they made it to the beginning of our base but the aphelios carried the whole team to win when the enemy team was sure they got a victory.

Draven hard shoved when you claim he did not. Then the freeze was ruined by the wave overshooting into your turret which one can prevent by thinning out the wave a bit in time, which was exactly what draven did .... kinda sad to see wave management 'explained' by making the guy doing it correctly out to be the 'bad example'.
I am a adc main and i have a troubling time getting my support to do things like this. (Surprisingly when i back off to let the wave freeze cause my jungles is bot my support STARTS TO TANK AND STEAL CS) this is what i call elo hell but you helped me so thanks.
Lately I was matched with a Jinx, I picked Lulu as we also had Master Yi so if anything I'd have a hyper carry in my team. We were up against Lux and Jhin, obviously, their duo deals more damage than ours early on. Sadly my adc forced all ins early on which resulted in her getting killed a few times and being very behind. I saw our Master Yi was doing relatively well despide making one bad call for drake early, so after the laning phase was over I abandoned ship and tried to stay near Master Yi, which ofc resulted in him wiping out their team a few times and winning us game. Still, the adc would flame me that I wasn't helping her and left her alone while she was splitpushing not participating in teamfights... Eh.
See, I've had times where I ask them in like 2 line sentences if they can not constantly hardshove lane so we can trade and not get ganks, but get a nice "fuck off I need to cs"
Another important factor is how hard the enemy lane can engage. If the enemy lane has very hard to avoid engage (e.g. Ashe + Bard), or can tower dive easily (post 6 Leona/Alistair), then any roams are likely to result in further feed from your adc. However, it is much safer to roam if the enemy has weak engage (e.g. Janna + Ez).
I'm an ADC main and I listen! Come and play with me and I promise I won't say No or act like an ****.
Give me tips as much as possible as you can and I will always accept them and work on them. :)
I wish if I can play with smurf just for tips not for winning or getting carried.

Most people that actually play support are decent but you want to make clear how you want to lane. Ping enemy if you want to go aggrasive or stay back, ping fall back and farm it to say you want to play safe. If people play mages they are bad supports and just ping back, farm and wait till later in the game or ganks. Mostly adc is at fault and does not follow and prio farm instead of punishing the enemy when available. Ofcourse playing safe as a vayne is not realistic as an example.

Tips if you want the jungler to come: A simple assistance ping when they are in the area can do wonders. It communicates clearly, but dont spam it when they are the opposite side of the map, then it just seems like flaming them for not being bot
Yesterday i had a game toplane and the enemy support lux had 3 kills after 7mins and then spend over 10 minutes with yone toplane. I dont have to tell you my botlane fed horrible even though they went 2v1 ...

I tried this tip before, both bot and mid laners tilted. Several times. Yesterday I was even flamed for removing the first turret because "I killed all his farm". He was on base.

3 out fo 10 games I managed to correctly roam and ward. 3 out of 10 opponents are better. The other 4 is coin flip between inters, flamers, whiners, afk'ers.
I mained adc for 8 season.
I just moved mid, because adc role is just a coinflip role. If you have bad support, you can't do shit.
Mostly the support can play as good as the adc can. Not talking about people who play mages like veigar and brand bot.

The first 45 seconds of this video was literally me today! The Ashe forces a fight at level 1 while I was backing off behind minions, they die and I get "this Lux omg" as if I would have been able to magically save them somehow.

Making plays around the last-hit timing of your own minions is actually crucial to getting kills or good trades on the enemy.
My support just leave lane even if I'm fed. And let enemy dive me by never come back 😒
I'm maining Nami support on Wild Rift. And this Jinx flamed me for not staying in front of her as if I'm a beefy tank like Nautilus when she's the one who pushed head first like Infinity War @ 30 seconds with NO ITEMS.
And the Draven that blames me for for not supporting him as I went on the Bot lane with Kai'sa when he went Top Lane.

I'm playing in iron/bronze _(fresh player, not much a games played)_ .
When I see I'm useless on the lane because my adc is passive/bad and lane go a bad way, after I buy upgraded boots, I try help another lanes.
Bad thing is, your plays never be in statistics consider as good plays, instead of that, you be reported by adc for "trolling".
One example of my gameplay was in the game when was adc bad.
On the level 5 I left lane, warded drake, went to mid to haras Yasuo, to make him hide under tower _(to make mid laner gold and HP lead)_ , then I went to top, bait ult from Mordekaiser's and abilities and even I died for that, top laner killed him _(because he had all abilities rdy)_ , then he pushed the lane, took 1 plate, meanwhile Morde lost XP and adc get xp lead and did no died because he played more safe.
May be I'm new and I dont know value, but in my mind I consider example of my plays as better rather than stand on bot as dummy and be also useless.
What DongHuap said about junglers and ganks, also works with adcs. Call him monster, Faker, fucking boosting killer machine for every even semi-acceptable play. As I see in s3, it works 100% of the time(I'm blitz main)
The first question asked what to do with the wave I think is wrong.. why back when you have no gold to spend and at full hp? That wave was shoving back to blue side tower and jinx died lvl 1 without any exp.. just freeze it outside of turret range and play aggro on the jinx who is going to be a level down. Also the video didn't show that Draven was even a part of the jinx kill.. so again why would he back? He has nothing to back for with full hp. Shoving the wave only gives jinx an opportunity to farm for free.

As an ADC main this advice seems really bad.
A cheater Recall is extremely dangerous and the fastest way to be pushed out of a game before it's even begun with no way of undoing the damage even if assisted.
What normally happens after it's setup:
Thin the wave to maintain freeze
The support tries to engage the enemy when they misstep but aren't allow to disengage because of enemy CC
ADC is left with a choice follow up while they're running away and minion aggro re-focuses onto the ADC or the enemy jungler shows up from a blue/raptor clear and we die missing all that Gold/XP from our attempt at a freeze and punish or leave them to die while halved health from retaliation trading back and now in a position to be dove because minions are pushed to turret and with any dives aided by 100+/sec damage from minions should you auto them under your own turret.
End result:
Behind in gold/xp
Enemy has an item component lead
Wave pushing into them for a freeze/return gank
Unable to farm for 10m until the freeze breaks with possibility of a four man bot to secure tower & dragon.
I suggest if you go into a game assuming the ADC is garbage play a kill support and roam. Break any freezes with your harras while disengaging with your CC to prevent countering this behavior. We'll scale up the longer the game is and with your kill pressure/vision control we'll have the time to do so as the enemy is terrified and moving slowly to avoid you. Thats assuming you don't win the game before we need to become relevant.
Quickest way to tell if an ADC is competent is their level 1. They're good if:
1.) They watch for invades in a manor that avoids skill shots from fog of war.
2.) They're matching enemy push for lv2 advantage without a hard push to the enemy tower.
3.) They start walking toward the enemy ADC when the enemy starts moving to harras you and back off if nothing happens.
This means their aware of engage ranges, timing, unseen kill threats, cs/xp and most importantly responsive to enemy/ally engages.
And do you're best to remember we're still human beings. Disrespect us and we will feel the added pressure with most of us incapable of turning that misery into resolve. Not asking for praise but do keep the flame to yourself if doesn't help anybody and dissuades other people on the map from helping us because you make us seem so irredeemable before we've even hit the point where we can crit for 500 consistently.

Thanks for the tip about Pinging. I want my ADC to freeze because we need to wait for JG to kill the scuttle first then allow a pincer maneuver when the enemy are near our turret, but I pinged too much and my ADC is typing in the middle of the lane and died. Not all my fault but this tip is great lols
