I do not like reading guide books of English literature because its really very lengthy and stressing but you made it easier for me and cleared all the points very well .
Thankyou very much sir .😊
If a question is asked regarding the historical background of the poem we have to talk about the position of women in 1969+ racism +slavery right
I would be surprised if there would be a direct question on the history ... more appropriate would be to weave that in very briefly into the answer ... they are not testing your history knowledge ... but at best, the context in which maya angelou wrote this ... So not much detail needed

Thank you Sir.... Very Nice description... More informative vedio
Thankyou So Much, Sir!🤗
Sir, I am curious why you do not do tution or teach in another school... Not only will many children benefit from your valuable teaching, you will also be contented by getting your well-deserved salary. Here, on TH-cam, it is very tough to become famous nowadays, hence even with such great teaching, you won't be able to reap your deserved benefits on your end. It is just a humble advice. Start teaching in some institution. Everybody really appreciates your teaching, Sir!
I am neither a teacher by profession nor am I on youtube ``to become famous'' :) Thanks for your message
@Study with Sudhir .sir your profession is journalism right

Sir I didn't understand the pharse "fearful trill " in a metaphorical way. Please reply to this question sir
Do you think that the lack of mention of the free bird's voice is a metaphor for how the caged bird is, in a way, more skilled in what birds naturally do, besides flying? Can it be worth noting that melodious singing is often considered a 'good characteristic' in birds (most often when they are caged by humans, but also appreciated when heard in the wild) and the free bird does not exhibit it? Not a textbook question, just curiosity. Thanks!
It is an interesting observation. But the caged bird boice is a fearful trill ... a pointer to its agony and pain ...
You are Great Sir
THANK YOU SIR IT HELPED ME ALOT.
Thank you sir it helped me a lot in completing my day to day syllabus as we all know that our country is facing the most sensitive time.
So, I just want to say "THANK YOU".
Thank you dear sir taking down all the notes
Thank you sir
Thanku so much sir❤
Sir pls reply to this question.. What aspect of Maya Angelou's life is compared to song of the caged Bird in the poem??
In the poem, metaphor of caged birds is used for all afro-Americans. Maya Angelo u being of that race explained its own condition that they don't have right to move freely nor any right to talk of freedom. The condition of caged birds were equivalent to Afro-Americans.

@@StudywithSudhir Thank you so much
Sir please explain This line :- and dips his wing in the Orange Sun rays
Dipping the wings into the sunshine symbolises that the bird os in sync with the sun... Happy like the sunshine...the orange also symbolises freedom.
Really very helpful ✍️

Sir can you please tell me that how the poet is passing a comment on racism vs Slavery
Sir which question papers should ve practice ? Oswal or other
Great sir☺😊😊
Sir why is cage referred to as narrow?
Because the cage does not provide a place for the bird to be free about and it has a confined area.
Hello sir, I've been loving the whole English playlists till now and it has helped me a lot. There was a question posed in our preparatory, that is "Why is the bird caged?" I didn't understand how to answer it.... I believe it has to do something with the feelings about the racist differences..... Could you help me with it?
The bird is caged by the "free birds" which are the symbolism of white Americans in the late 1800s. They captivated these "birds" so as to themselves enjoy the luxurious of their life.
Hope that helps 😀
@@harshitajain6621 oh yeah! That makes sense... Thanks btw🙂💚

Hari: Sir, I want ask one question that a free bird will hardship to survive....and find his food but the caged bird will get food easily by his owner.....Is it slight contrast with the poet.....
The video was really helpful Sir, thank you so much, but i had a query, its mentioned that "the caged bird shouts on a nightmare screams", is the shadow of the caged bird used to refer to the miserable, helpless and trapped condition of the bird? Or does it refer to the literal shadow of the bird?
sir i had a doubt, what is the meaning of longed for still? sir your videos are very helpfull.
"longed for still" refers to the aspirations that the caged bird has had for a very long time
Sir, can you please make a video on Abou Ben Adhem, too?

Sir what is the meaning of seldom in the caged Bird poem
"seldom see through his bars of rage" is basically saying that the caged bird cannot look beyond a certain limit because of the restrictions imposed on it.
Thanks sir for this mind-blowing explanation. In this pandemic we can't go out to study but with you we can study well at home
Thank you soo much sir. Your videos are like blessings to me in this time of covid when schools are closed. Sir i have one doubt in this poem that why the caged bird was afraid of it's shadow?

Thankyou sir...your videos are really helpful
Sir. Slavery was abolished in America in the 1860s and not in the 1960s.
Slavery continued in minor forms
Technically if you don't think of slavery in terms of racially it is still continuing with people working 9-5 with jobs there not happy with and living in pain.
Have you read Jim Crow Laws?
Yes
It was abolished but tje white people still discriminated against the black people
Jai shree krishna

Thank you, Sir, for the explanation. Could you please elaborate on the point of how the caged bird is symbolic of the African Americans of the freedom struggle, and the Free bird of the Americans or the White Race.
Because the poet was associated with the struggle at that time, it is interpreted so ... that the blacks, like the caged bird, did not enjoy complete freedom, there was fetters imposed on them in a racist American society. Similarly for the women in a patriarchal society
@@StudywithSudhir Alright, thank you, sir.
Why does the caged bird open its threat to sing?
The caged bird opens its throat to sing.It does this to indicate its anguish, pain and feelings. The singing of the caged bird basically symbolises the voice of the poor people against unlawful oppression. Thus, the caged bird refers to the Afro-Americans
Sir I have a question and I have answered the question. Can you please check if they are correct and can you tell if I need to need add any point in extra.....

Sir, can we say that use of "his" to denote the bird is to show the conditions or to compare it(the bird) to the conditions of actual black people of that time?
This sir is the dominator of English literature.
Good morning sir, as you said fat worms are the prey for the free bird waiting under the dawn bright light.
Our mam said fat worms as opportunities for the free bird.
If the question come in the exam. What are we supposed to write..??
