Bordeaux 2022 En Primeur is under starters orders and as the campaign swings in to gear we brought together a panel of experts to discuss this extraordinary, but by no means homogenous, vintage which really is turning out to be “an equilibrium of extremes”.
Topics covered by the panel include the challenging weather conditions and responses in the vineyards and wineries to climate change, sub-regional variations, and evolving winemaking styles, and the character of the vintage and comparisons to previous years. Tips on the market and likely price positioning, as well as recommended wines (and notes of caution) are also considered latterly.

Gavin Quinney - owner of Château Bauduc and Bordeaux harvest reporter for Jancis Robinson and Liv-ex, whose en primeur article for Harpers Wine & Spirits is due out shortly.
Honest Grapes en primeur buyer Rebecca Ohayon Gergely also joined to give her initial views after an extensive programme of tastings during the primeurs week.
