i discovered 30 years ago a carbohydrates intolerance...i ate a milkshake cheese burger fries then a dairy queen ice-cream cone. i could not stay awake i felt extremely drowsy..so bad i could not drive the kids home. i have to sleep , i felt like i took a drug...since that day i never ate like that again for 15 years dairy has been removed from my daily life and my respiratory problems left.
I've been intermittent fasting for a few months now ... Low carb .. rare sugar ... Lots of veggies ... Some meat .. some plant protein ... I also now only eat twice a day ... I'm rarely craving foods like I used to ... The stomach monster is under control ... Much less bloating and I'm finally getting my weight down without much trouble ... I'm almost 62 and that's okay 🥰. PS I've also been walking 15-20 miles a week now . Feeling great 😁
This is the best diet for just about everyone. You can easily get your calorie count in 2 meals, which is what I aim to do everyday. I don't eat breakfast, and I still cannot eat after 6pm, but I find that I sleep better on a mostly empty stomach. If you're physically able, I highly recommend incorporating weights in your workouts. Nothing crazy, I started with resistance, and moved up 5 lbs with each progression. I don't track my steps, but I've got a German Shepard puppy I chase around all day, so I imagine it's a lot 😂😂
After many, many years, I have discovered that carbohydrates REALLY affect my sleep! I have cut out all sugars and most carbs now (no carbs for dinner at all or else I will suffer!) and my sleep has improved dramatically. I look back at all those dinners out when I would have a bowl of pasta, some garlic bread, a glass of wine followed by a gelato and wonder why I had terrible insomnia and restless sleep!! Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
Thank you so much for bringing this up! I picked up on what was happening thanks to Keto as I have one day I would have carbs per week. Any carbs I had at LUNCH on that day would keep me up the whole night. It’s unbelievable.
I feel SO much better on keto (free of sugar, grain, starch, and alcohol) but still had the insomnia and tachycardia. I tried going very low histamine and finally, after 30 years of misery, have no insomnia or tachycardia!!
Yes, my sleep has been terrible for a while now. This video has been an eye opener for me. I was told it was due to my age but I don't feel old and have always been active and light. Starting today I am giving up flour based and grain based foods along with sugar based foods. I use to be a good vegan years ago. It is time to go back to that I guess.
Yes! At first I thought I had celiacs, like my mom & grandma. But I had all of the tests done and they were all negative. I still felt like crap every time I ate ANY for of carbs- even from fruits and veggies (like potatoes and bananas). I went full keto + intermittent fasting and I feel AMAZING. My cycle became regular (and actually pleasant), I lost 32lbs, I sleep great and never feel brain fog anymore! Plus my bloating/throbbing intestines completely stopped.
I rarely have gas on keto, unless I supplement with a little bit of sauerkraut for microbiome, but that’s just air and it never feels stuck, (I call it Shrek gas “better out than in”)
Same experience for me. I dealt with incredibly painful cramps, bloating, gas and diarrhea (and other issues listed in this video) for years. I tried several different things with my doctor's guidance but none worked. I finally landed on keto and after a year, I haven't had any of those symptoms! Definitely made a huge difference :)
@@Xenobat i’ve had exactly the same experience. When I switched to keto, the problem was solved overnight. Conversely, the rare times that I have carbs - when eating out with my son recently, I had some white rice f.i- I have cramps and gas again.
I truly appreciate this information. I'm just tired of trying to prove to people that carbs don't always do justice for everyone and just because someone is overweight its not because they're eating so called junk foods or don't exercise.
I get fatigue, craving, gas, brain fog, hunger, and heartburn. That's why I love keto and IF. I feel so much better! That's why no matter how much I'm told keto is bad for me, I'll never go back to SAD.
Omg my endocrinologist mentioned he thought I was carb intolerant!! I always thought these symptoms were due to the lactose intolerance I have but could not figure out why I had so many of the same symptoms after a dairy free but moderate carb meal. Great information👍
Health Coach Kait Can you do a video on how people are stretching their bowels and stomach organs by eating badly please? It can take a couple of years to shrink over-stretched bowels that are several times wider than they’re meant to be and it feels like doing a gym workout when correcting it but nobody talks about it being a problem or how to fix it. I’ve shrunk mine but would like the word spread. Stretched organs can’t retract or do their job properly. People need to know it happens and can be fixed. They stretch just like skin does. They can contract the same way if you know to do it. You literally have to exercise your organs by putting the right food in them and it’s tiring but worth it. Enemas help if you use them right but never do a colonic irrigation with stretched organs as they can burst. People don’t know this. They need to know.
Health Coach Kait Also thank you for the science info (which always checks out). I’d really love trustworthy advisors to talk about stretched bag-shaped organs because it’s never talked about… ever. I found out about this by watching an autopsy so please let’s inform people while still alive enough to reverse it. It’s not just the stomach bag and skin that can change size. It’s kind of insane that my best diet advice breakthrough came from a mortician.
Same to me, it's so sad. I wake up fit and 'flat' and I go to bed looking pregnant. It's crazy. There is a time when I really believe that I was truly pregnant, even having my period. :(
On Keto now for 7 weeks and off my meds as blood pressure and stomach problems have disappeared. It was a slow start but ur videos have really helped me stay on track. Now to get more exercise as my energy level is coming back up. Thank you!
Had all of those symptoms for years. After cutting back on carbohydrate intake and eliminating processed foods helped greatly. Now I focus on minimal carbs having only fresh low glycemic index veggies, meats, healthy fats, and in moderation hard cheeses and heavy cream. My body is grateful for the change.
Well, this explains why I gained over 30 pounds, developed insulin resistance and destroyed my gut and health after 3 1/2 years of being vegan. I've been ketovore for about 4 months now and I've only lost 3 pounds, but I'm feeling way better. This was a great and easy to understand video, thanks!
Never been vegan, but been vegetarian for 15 years and definitely had carb intolerance issues (however I was eating a lot of breads, and other high white starchy carbs). I did not want to start eating meat so switched to being a low carb/low sugar vegetarian 2 years ago and had no problems improving my glucose levels and losing weight by significantly reducing carbs/sugar while also utilizing intermittent fasting. I don't think you specifically have to be on a carnivore diet to eat low carb... but I suspect everyone's body chemistry is different and may respond differently to certain diets so there is unlikely a "one diet fits all."
After going to a gastroenterologist and being tested for SIBO, I finally realized that I was carbohydrate intolerant. At first they thought I might have diabetes II. But every panel and test for diabetes was negative. But I noticed after eating a high carb meal, at times I would have to lay down and sleep, because I would get so fatigued and sleepy. Another thing I learned was my allergic reaction to wheat. So I'm not "Celiac" but actually experience a celiac type condition if I decide to eat it. It really wrecks my stomach, stretching the lining of my colon and intestinal tract. So I can't have any breads or wheat in anything at all. I really suffer with abdominal pain, bloating, diarrhea, etc. Yet I tested negative for celiac. A lot of salad dressings, marinades, gravy, soy sauce, cream sauces, soups, etc. have wheat so it's best if you just cook your own food with GF options. The Paleo diet works best for me because it utilizes nut and root flours. I'm not even good with 'pseudo grains'. These are amaranth, buckwheat and quinoa. I can't eat these either because it affects my thyroid. Occasionally I can have a small amount of rice. My Naturopathic Doctor has recommended the Paleo Diet. Also the FODMAP Diet is wonderful for keeping the carb load low for daily consumption. It helps to heal SIBO (Leaky Gut). I would shop with an app on my phone and after a few months on FODMAP, your stomach heals itself and you feel great! Ultimately a low glycemic diet has to come into play as well, so I'm going to incorporate that as well.
While I do prefer keto, a couple years eating a keto and lectin avoidance diet, and carbs treat me fine again. I personally think a "carbohydrate intolerance" is a blanket statement for all the many reasons a body may be too unhealthy to process carbs. Generally, I think it is a gut bug issue, but avoiding lectins can be useful too because they tend to cause immune responses, which can affect carbohydrate digestion.
Prior to transitioning to carnivore, I ate HCLF and experienced all of these. I could never understand how a “healthy” meal of rice and veggies or potatoes or pasta would make me so bloated and then be hungry a few hours later. Now, after almost a year of being carnivore, I’ve become extremely sensitive to carbs.
Just curious, were you eating white/refined rice and pasta or brown rice/whole grain pasta? White/refined is worse as it spikes blood sugar faster so could make people hungry a short while later.
i had all of the symptoms listed, have been on keto for a week and my body is currently changing. but already believe that it will be worth it. some symptoms have already gotten better.
Thanks very much for this video. I’m experiencing all the symptoms since I was a child and got worst in my twenties. Found out It was carb intolerant after I started Keto. Before that, it was all the symptoms you listed after I had my child that’s when the weight gaining begin. I went on keto for a month and lost weight then I returned to my regular diet and started bloating and gaining weight again. That’s how I found out something was wrong. Now I eat more protein and non starchy vegetables. For anyone substituting cauliflower rice for real rice, be careful. Cauliflower is cruciferous and contains raffinose. Beware of veggies that contains raffinose. The worst is when these gas gets trapped and can’t be released. It’s painful.
Like many other people, I’ve switched to a carnivore diet as well. As a trained Chef, it’s been easy for me to transition. I’m a type 2 diabetic but with normal glucose levels due to a carnivore diet. Great video Kait.
I have been self treating for over 5 years now bc doctors just cannot figure out why I have the "unrelated symptoms" I have. I have had all these for over 9 years, that doing a little research into stuff like this has helped me change my lifestyle in regards to diet and exercise. It's made such a huge difference that I recommend it to everyone.
I have a Neanderthal genetic marker that makes digesting carbs difficult, and increases weight gain. It answered so much when I saw that on my genetic report. Cuz, as much as I love a good pasta, I gain fat on carbs. Even worse if I mix carbs with meat. I did real well on keto, but still, the bloating was terrible after eating a salad. Now, I'm transitioning into a carnivore diet. Hopefully that works.
Wow you're real life Neanderthal? That's so cool! Can you please tell why vegans are so sure that everyone needs to eat plant based? I'm so confused, you and vegans just can't co exist, one has to be wrong. Im just curious though, I have no real opinion about any kind of diet and just started to take an interest.
Dr. Princess Morals versus genetics is a stupid argument. If they have a diet that works for them that’s great but no amount of persuasion will change my genetics. Genetics and ancestry and age affects your diet. We’re equal as people but our diets literally can’t be equal. I literally can’t survive on plant oils and stay healthy so I’m a careful omnivore. I can’t eat just any plants or just any meat so the morals of someone else can go hang. There just aren’t any good substitutions for absolutely everything an omnivore needs - which is what humans are. Most vegans are vegan because they think meat is immoral. Fine but even if they’re right (for themselves) it doesn’t help me. Their morals have made it hard to get hold of the healthy and cheaper cuts of meat products which are just as much medicine to me as any plant. Personally I think it’s immoral to force a species into sickness by restricting their diet with unhealthy substitutes.
Thanks for this video. I’ve been on keto and intermittent fasting for 31 days. It has changed my life. Yesterday I ate double carbs that I have kept at 20-25 grams/day. All but one of the symptoms (cramps) came rushing back. I didn’t recognize before that it was the carbs that negatively affected me. Now I have a name for it - carb intolerance. Why in my whole life I have never put this together before I don’t know. Thank you again.
Wow. I had pretty much diagnosed myself with being a carb/sugar addict a while back. Even when I have a vegetable that is supposed to be healthy, it leads to me wanting other foods with carbs & sugar in it. The possibility of being carb intolerant & it being related to insulin resistant makes sense. I have noticed I experience most of the symptoms you listed frequently when I have carbs & sugar.
A while ago I read about a method/study to figure out how well you digest carbs. I do not remember it exactly, but you had to put a piece of bread on your tongue and leave it there, and the time it takes for you to taste the sweetness can tell you how fast you break down those carbs due to the concentration of amylase in your mouth...
Whenever I eat more carb, I am bloated, gassy, hungry. I was worried why I am bloated all the time. Thanks for this information. I will cut down my carb intake and will update .
This is an eye opener!!! As an X vegan on The starch sulotion for several years this video is making SO much sense!!! I had ALL the symptoms above!!! All of them. WOW. I feel like an X addic going through deep healing. I really believe that the keto diet is the only answer for me at the moment. Thank you so much!!!
When I crave sugar I take salt and water instead. Make sure my main nutrition is in balance and insulin resistance is switched off by drinking vinegar tonic. It works! (Tonic recipe: 2-4 tbs apple juice to dilute, 1 tbs lemon juice, 1 tbs apple cider vinegar, small pinch salt) It sounds awful but actually isn’t. It also fights gallstones! Add magnesium if you’re doing a gall bladder flush.
Well then. I’m 100% carb intolerant. I figured this already since I’ve felt so great on low carb/carnivore for the last year and a half. I have lived my entire adult life with constant bloat. I’ve always been taught that it’s normal. I am so sick of the ‘normalizing bloat’ posts on IG and FB. Drives me crazy. Why are people so accepting of living with their upset stomachs and bloating all the time. 😒
I have all of the symptoms. I figured this out 2 years ago. As soon as I severely limited carbs, I got much better. When I went Gluten-free, I lost over 50 lbs in 2 months. It simply fell off. I was literally poisoning myself and blowing up! Occasionally, I will eat carbs and something with Gluten and I have to make a mad dash to the restroom almost immediately. Just not worth it to me. Not worth the weight gain, gas pain, bloating and overall suffering. I know your info will help others. It certainly helped me. Your video helped me and validated everything I suspected. I really appreciate it!
Hi Kait, I’ve been following a diet that’s specific to ppl who take anti-depressant medication. Not sure if you’re aware, most anti-depressants condition the brain to constantly crave carbs, although none of the pharmaceutical manufacturers mention that on their websites or in literature contained in the packaging. Therefore, I only eat low carb foods at specific intervals to maintain good levels of serotonin in the brain, so I don’t overeat during meal times. I don’t actually suffer from carbohydrate intolerance, just thought I’d mention what I did, in the hope it may help others.
I have experienced all of those symptoms except for abdominal cramps, and with type 2 diabetes being so prevalent in my family, I don't think my genetic make up is adequate for a high-carb diets.
I have ulcerative colitis and definitely carbs make me feel unwell (actually I have all the symptoms you describe) especially if I eat carbs with main meals. I only eat carbs in the morning; I eat porridge with honey, almonds and cranberries in the morning and the rest of my meals are protein with vegetables. Intermittent fasting (16/8 or 14/10) has helped a lot as well.
When I eat sugar and carbs I get: bloating, gas, fatigue, brainfog, tendon pains, burning feet, fatty sticky lose stools or sometimes constipation. I eat keto since one year and feel much better, but once or twice a week the sugar addiction devil gets me and I buy something sweet. The next days I have all the symptoms.
I starved myself fat on 1200 low fat, high fibre carefully measured and weighed calories a day. I could get 70 thousand plus steps on a step counter at work and I went to the gym daily. I could barely fit in to a size 18. Read Good Calories, Bad Calories 11 years ago. Went with the British diet in the prologue. Never looked back.
I have several of these symptoms. I was surprised about nausea. I used to complain about that and my former wife would think I was being silly. It is good to know it isn't all my "fault" or lack of will power. Still I have to take responsibility now that I know where the issue lies. Thanks Kait.
I’ve never heard of Carb intolerance, I’ve cut out dairy and gluten which has greatly improved my health but I’m still experiencing most of the symptoms you mentioned today, which is totally ridiculous because WHAT CAN I EAT? I literally hate eating anything because of the after effects fatigue, bloating and gas if ever I’m going out or visiting people I just don’t eat because it’s the only time I comfortable.
Bloating: often the result of proton pump inhibitors like Prilosec or acid reducers. Acid stomach is a symptom of partially undigested food; it's carbonic acid, not "stomach acid," hydrochloric acid. It's preferable to stimulate HCl rather than reducing carbonic acid. Low stomach acid, especially combined with antibiotic use, leads to overgrowth of bacteria in the small intestine, which leads to a multitude of woes. I couldn't tolerate any carbs at all for about ten years.
Yes, I am carbohydrates intolerance plus glutin intolerance plus dairy intolerance. I thank you and appreciate your correct advice answers because you correctly call out my 8 symptoms I have overcome. I am 60 now if low amounts of amylase enzyme produced that can be a factor
I have brain fog, fatigue, gurgling sounds, constant hunger,, cravings, and occasions; gas, I am a type 2 diabetic and am on a low carb diet and some days, a no-carb diet depending on how my body is feeling. I am seeing improvement as evidenced by feeling mentally sharp along with a gradual decrease of my other symptoms.
I'm going through this now. I got really sick and could hardly eat. As I reintroduced food I noticed carbs seem to hate me. I feel so bad after simple things like an English muffin or a graham cracker.
Eating certain "foods", i get mostly leg cramps and bloating. But sometimes also headache, light-headedness and joint pain. So usually try to steer clear of those "foods" :) I found that applecider vinegar is effective to help ease the impact of sugar and starchy things, and calm my stomach
Wow, this opened my eyes! I was wondering why I have not been able to lose weight. Just 20 pounds! Something must have happened after I turned 64 last year. The weight slowly crept up. I am so tired and can't seem to shake it. I thought it was the caffein issue but found out that didn't change the problem. I am going to stop eating bread and noodles and rice. See if that changes things. Also my sleep has taken a hit a lot. I take Benadryl at night to make me drowsie but not happy about doing any kind of drug to force me to sleep. I wake up groggy and a bit slow. Suffer with extented belly which is very uncomfortable. I am use to being slender. Hopefully things will turn around fast. The older I get the less patient I have become.
My life struggle . I stopped eating bread all together and it had helped with gas , bloating and fatigue . Now trying to stop eating other carbs …A struggle tho
I know it's tough, we are emotionally attached to our foods. Without even realizing it. I was basically handed a carnivore diet back in 2004. I literally could not get it through my thick skull where else would I get my macronutrients from? Also I have farming in my family big farming big AG within cattle, smaller agriculture my uncle's farm the most unique quaint farm I have ever stepped foot on. Everything had its purpose. He paid 60 Grand to make a parking lot, and the neighbor that sold him the land if he would have sold it to him for $5,000 he could have had lifetime parking but because he sold it for 60,000. He was banned from ever parking there. No petrol or oil ever touched his land. Not even a tractor. Now I found out, that I lack the specific DNA to host the bacteria to break down oxalates. As part of a two-year study. Even the bacteria in my body does not respond. It's like having a key with not a single lock to put it in. Years I kept on. I hate to say it, I'm emotionally attached to my oxalate. Until I hit a brick wall, fibromyalgia pain all over my body. It had to deal with the oxalate shards that I had all over my muscle fascia. And I was passing kidney stones oxalate stones like a stone quarry. It's not fun when your urine is the color of tea. Back to back kidney and bladder infections. Just hell. I finally started my journey. It took me a solid 2 years. I'll never forget my first birthday without a cake. I was emotional. My grandfather owns a bakery. Little by little I removed and shed these emotional baggages that I carried with my food. 3 years later, I'm doing much better. I wish I would have learned long ago. But stubborn is a stubborn does, like a brick wall. It ain't going nowhere, until there's a major earthquake and it's ripped down to its foundation. That's basically what I had to do, to myself and the foods that I love. Once you truly start the diet you're cravings will fall away. I will never forget the day that I realized, I hadn't eat a single thing. I had tons of energy, I wasn't hungry. And I was still satiated from the eggs and steak that I had that morning. I thought to myself, is this what it's like? I'm not hungry? I actually have good energy. I've been sleeping better,... Absolutely. And once you start to feel that energy and that vitality in your body, your brain fog starts to lift. If you lose yourself in conversation you find it. Hahahaha 🤣 or is that just me? Happens to the best of us. Getting interrupted, and utterly losing every train of thought. to the point where you say what were you talking about what was I talking about? I'm lost. Hahahaha This birthday will be my third birthday with no cake. I have a t-bone instead. Yummy
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video! I knew there was something wrong with me and carbohydrates. I would crave them, eat them and then feel bloated. This included even gluten free carb products because I also can't have gluten. If I stay away from carbohydrates I feel better inside. I also got tested for allergies and found out that I have 37 off allergies. I nearly fell off the chair at the doctor's office. Now if I even cheat and have a piece of cake I get severe allergic reactions and then have to take allergy pills. But I am so glad to find out I am carbohydrate intolerant because that explains a lot. I bet it has a lot to do with aches and pains in my body. I'm going to find out as I am seriously cutting them out altogether. No cheating.
It’s so crazy that you did this video, I just decided to eat frozen yogurt, I estimate I had about 42g of carbs, (the low sugar option), I’m so bloated and gassy, I feel so gross. I can’t wait for it to digest and then go back to my usual keto lifestyle.
I too had signs of carb intolerance. As a result now I don’t consume carbs nearly as much as before and no more gas and bloating. Plus I’ve subtracted 30 lbs without feeling deprived.
I've had all of those symptoms, but I found out they were related to wheat and corn specifically not all carbs. Many veggies give me some of the same symptoms. Basically, everything gives me bloating and/or gas. My doctor put me on a keto diet with intermittent fasting because of my insulin resistance. I hated it. Felt like absolute garbage for over a month so I'm going to explore a low carb lifestyle for a while before trying keto again, if I try keto again.
It took my body longer to adjust to keto diet also. But I stuck with it and now feel better than I have. My insulin resistance took a while to develop, so I have heard it could take me longer to get where I need to be. 6 weeks now shows weight lose and increase energy, FINALLY! Off all my meds the doc said I had to have, blood pressure now normal. No stomach problems like gerd or cramps. Just to let u know how one person is responding to keto.
Check out my video on how to avoid the keto flu. There are a few mistakes people make that when corrected can make a HUGE difference! But even reducing carbs moderately, eating them at the end of your meal or taking apple cider vinegar before eating can all help keep blood sugar and insulin more stable 🙏
@@artsynana9619 thank you for sharing your story. I think my biggest problem was my love of food and half of it was taken away so abruptly. Once I wrap my head around it, to know food isn't a source of happiness, I can continue to a healthier place.
When you cut carbs your body rids itself of inflammation and causes you to pass a lot of urine. Salt is vital to avoiding keto flu. The human body needs salt.
This!!-> bloating! Thank you for bringing this up and telling its not normal. This is crazy how much bloating is normalized ecpessially in the fitness community. One very huge fitness influencer who has 1,5 million followers, had a video about bloating telling its totally normal. I have a feeling that she kinda referred bloating as beeing full after eating and belly pumps out more. But I would not say that bloating is something normal. When after eating is a gazy feeling then the one is not eating the right food for her/his body. And when I red the comments under this influencers video I was just mindblowen. She seems to have a lot of followers from ED recovery and women were telling there that oh I am so glad how bloating is normal, I thought its not and did not eat anything and so on. When I tried keto two months than I got to realized that bloating and gases are not normal. And I am glad to also figured it out that if something gives me bloated feeling than most problaby it is some kind on carb. And now when I am not on keto I just know that some of the vegetables gives me gases and terrible bloating. I dump these right away.
First of all, I love your videos. They are packed with immensely helpful and actionable information🤗 After seeing a GI doc for a year with little success for gut issues, my primary doc gave me a breath test and it showed that I am unable to digest sucrose. However, I intend on trying the genetic testing to see if it is all carbs as well. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, you have literally made my day❤️ I wish I could back up and give you the thousands I have spent going to clueless doctors:(
Awesome information and finally someone is talking about this=thank you for sharing this. I have had issues for over 20 yrs and when I lived in Europe=Germany to be precise=Doctors would not take me serious=oh sure they did a lot of tests and then told me everything is fine. But my hypoglycemic episodes which caused me to almost pass out a few times kind of scared me and I knew it was Blood Sugar related = quite a few diabetics in the family = so I knew. Then finally my PP told me I was Hypoglycemic and they admitted me to the hospital for INSULINOMA= mind you we had no personal computers back then ( 1995 ) so I really could not educate myself on anything you were at the mercy of doctors. So they did a bunch of tests, and when I asked the Professor about the way I should eat=he said he did not know=as this was a new discovery and no information exists. So I checked myself out. Then they send me to a doctor who lectured me about diabetes, but he said I was not diabetic. So lots of confusion= so thank you for shedding light on this.
I'm diabetic and celiac. I avoid carbs. Rarely eat them. When I do, I have to take insulin. But no matter how much insulin I take, I feel really crappy after eating carbs. Quite horrible actually. So, it's rare now when I eat them.
I have always had problems with carbs: heartburn, gas, gurgling sounds in abdomin, tired after eating, and afternoon brain fog. I get cramps and nausia a lot too, but I attributed that to irritible bowel and diverticulitis, which putting 2+2 together, the carbs are prob the reason for that, except in the mornings when my stomach is empty. Could that be from left over undigested carbs fermenting?
You could have sibo. Most people that I find that have sibo, eat a lot of veggies and spinach. You realize that our fields are sprayed with feces. Fertilizer. Easy way to get rid of farmed fecal pools. Good luck with that cause sibo can be difficult. If you're having all of these issues why haven't you made the change yet?
You have to reset your gut bugs. Firstly, start taking creatine. The body REQUIRES good creatine levels to produce stomach acid. Second, get on a keto lectin avoidance diet. I used the book "The Plant Paradox" by doctor Steven Gundry. His 3 day reset diet should get your gut bacteria headed on the right track again. Eat like that for about a year, and you can probably eat carbs again ..... Although, I did that, and I still prefer to stick with the keto lectin avoidance diet. But I can eat carbs with no problems now too.
Great vid again as usual👍 I just wanted to thank you for the advice on raw dog food. I made the switch a few days ago and the difference is awesome. I always thought my dogs were fussy with food but now the minute they smell it, they start jumping literally🙂 thank you
The GI advantage alone the last couple of years is what keeps me low carb after 5 years of eating high carb vegan. Even ran my first marathon low carb and totally fat adapted. And with no GI issues cuz I wasn’t chugging down sugar products during the run like many others. Actually ran it fasted lol and didn’t walk at all. Felt incredible. High carb makes me bloated and gassy every dang time. Ew
No wonder I always get skinny so quick with vegetable diet, chicken. Also, my mouth doesn't make enough saliva for bread and every time I eat bread I need to have liquid with it. I decided 3 days ago to cut carbs and sugar. This is why youtube recommended this channel to me 🤣
Australia is very close behind America with people who are insulin resistant. When I'm 'ranting' at people about sugar levels I remind them that for EVERY type 2 Diabetic I can show you a person that once was NOT Diabetic. If only people understood how hard their pancreas has to work to reduce their glucose levels. As a type 2, my pancreas also does not release any enzymes and I have to take Creon with each meal, otherwise I don't absorb any nutrients at all.
I do not know if you have ever done a PM video, but it did occur to me about a year ago that part of the reason women have such bad PMS and periods at times is that you crave carbs, in particular junk food which probably make everything much much worse, so a video on that would be good.
I figured that fruits are a perfect substitute for all starches. They don't need any additional processing or seasoning. Just eat them and there's a lot of veriety in fruit. Quick energy boost for my exercises without bloating or crashes then I eat animal products for satiety. Super easy diet.
I can’t digest wheat and sends my blood sugar way too high. I don’t have the same reaction with rice or other grains. I’m doing well on a low carb vegan diet. I also have gout and so meat has been eliminated. If I stick with mostly low glycemic fruits and veggies, I’m doing great and losing weight. Thank you for sharing sharing about this enzyme. I learned a lot from your video.
Gout is tied to Insulin Resistance and Pre-Diabetes.... mainly diet. HbA1c higher than 5.5% is pre-Diabetes. It is alcohol, fructose that are the worst for Gout. Then carbohydrates; sugars and starches. Doctors are usually wrong about diet.
It was so helpfull to watch the video. I skuffer for mere than half the symptoms. As im in Denmark i Will try my gp for an examination. Thank you so much
What about no.9: rapid weight gain/ overweight/ obesity? For year's I've been strictly keto (and trying to go more carnivore over the past couple month's), but recently have been under some highly stressful circumstances. I'm staying with people who eat SAD and I thought I'd see what happened if I just ate what they do. I just did it for 7 day's. I didn't eat pasta or rice, but otherwise, ate as they do. I put on 4kg in 7 days. I wasn't eating giant meal's but definitely had the urge to eat more frequently than when keto. I had full body inflammation and pain by day 3. Plus all of those symptoms you have listed. It's seriously not even worth it, I am just not willing to sacrifice my health another day. So, I really hope I can get back into ketosis quickly and get rid of all these horrible symptoms.. it was an interesting experiment. I've pretty much been doing Keto since 2011. And yes, those CRAVINGS for all that high carb sugary processed junk come back quickly!
Thank you for this...I'm D) All of the above, plus IBS. I feel best when I don't eat, but I love good food and feel sick if I don't eat...such a roller coaster!
I submit to you that this actually might be an intolerance to glyphosate which is what many people mistake things like gluten intolerance and Crohn's disease for. Toxic Legacy is a book written by Dr. Stephanie Seneff which speaks about this in extensive detail
I have noticed certain carb rich foods cause some serious bloating. Of course depends how much I eat. But some carb sources don't do it as bad such as bananas and yuca.
Thanks Kait,im just going to finish my last packet of chocolate biscuits and go back on keto.....i have all those symptoms except nausia....i feel so good when using healthy fat as an energy source......its great you have brought up this subject no one talks about....CARB INTOLERANCE....thanks again
How many of these symptoms do you have?

I have almost all of these symptoms.............
I have all of them that's why I chose to live that good keto life😊
I have many of them almost all the time…at least two a day!
i discovered 30 years ago a carbohydrates intolerance...i ate a milkshake cheese burger fries then a dairy queen ice-cream cone. i could not stay awake i felt extremely drowsy..so bad i could not drive the kids home. i have to sleep , i felt like i took a drug...since that day i never ate like that again for 15 years dairy has been removed from my daily life and my respiratory problems left.
where are you thoughts on sweet potatoes
Bloating, Fatigue, Sugar Cravings, Gas, Nausea, Abdominal Cramps, Brain Fog, Increased Hunger
Yes to 6 of these!
Feeling great 😁
Amazing Susan! Keep up the great work! 🙏
30/90 rule ! 30 days to create a habit , 90 days to create a lifestyle …
Me too! I wake up at 12-1am and can’t fall back asleep
Thank you so much for bringing this up! I picked up on what was happening thanks to Keto as I have one day I would have carbs per week. Any carbs I had at LUNCH on that day would keep me up the whole night. It’s unbelievable.
Yes.
👏👏

What's in your daily diet? I'd like to start removing all carbs, but I don't know how.
wow
What do you eat?
I have all the symptoms. I went gluten free 3 months ago, and found out that even non-gluten carbs are affecting me.
Had them all. Now on Keto, steady flow of energy, no cravings, no gas... OK, very little gas ;)
I rarely have gas on keto, unless I supplement with a little bit of sauerkraut for microbiome, but that’s just air and it never feels stuck, (I call it Shrek gas “better out than in”)
I'm on the seefood diet .
I see food , I eat it .
I'm so carb sensitive. Gained up to 620 lbs. Now 420 after going keto. On my way to Carnivore.
Go on a water fast

Way to go! Great work, and I know it is work. My weight is slow, but I will take any loss as positive!
I truly appreciate this information. I'm just tired of trying to prove to people that carbs don't always do justice for everyone and just because someone is overweight its not because they're eating so called junk foods or don't exercise.
🙏🙏
Omg yes ! 😢
I have every single symptom. No wonder I do so well on keto. The only problem is that I am a weak willed jellyfish that never sticks to it :(
I am too. Sometimes I am tired of preparing every single part of my food on my own. So hard to eat out. Our restaurants are not ready for us.

That's why no matter how much I'm told keto is bad for me, I'll never go back to SAD.

I can totally relate to the signs. I'm on a low carb diet now. So I lost some weight and my health and energy levels have improved overall.

Omg my endocrinologist mentioned he thought I was carb intolerant!! I always thought these symptoms were due to the lactose intolerance I have but could not figure out why I had so many of the same symptoms after a dairy free but moderate carb meal. Great information👍
🙏🙏
I wonder if that's why I wake up in the morning with a flat-ish stomach and go to bed looking 6 months pregnant
Could be 😥
This is me 🙏😕
Health Coach Kait Can you do a video on how people are stretching their bowels and stomach organs by eating badly please?
Thank you!
Amazing results so far! 🙌
👏👏
Well, this explains why I gained over 30 pounds, developed insulin resistance and destroyed my gut and health after 3 1/2 years of being vegan. I've been ketovore for about 4 months now and I've only lost 3 pounds, but I'm feeling way better. This was a great and easy to understand video, thanks!
🙏🙏
If only this information had been so accessible 40 years ago.
Here are the Symptoms:
1. Bloating
2. Fatigue
3. Sugar Cravings
4. Gas
5. Nausea
6. Abdominal Cramps
7. Brain Fog
8. Increased Hunger
I can totally relate to that!!! 🙏
Just curious, were you eating white/refined rice and pasta or brown rice/whole grain pasta? White/refined is worse as it spikes blood sugar faster so could make people hungry a short while later.
@@wintersprite actually the blood sugar response to white and brown rice isn't much different instagram.com/p/CSXCiztgAqN/

I agree
It took me years to figure out that carbs were the issue

@@EnterpriseTNG Keto
i had all of the symptoms listed, have been on keto for a week and my body is currently changing.
but already believe that it will be worth it.
some symptoms have already gotten better.
Me too, Chris. (We live in a gas free zone).

🙏🙏
I have a Neanderthal genetic marker that makes digesting carbs difficult, and increases weight gain. It answered so much when I saw that on my genetic report. Cuz, as much as I love a good pasta, I gain fat on carbs. Even worse if I mix carbs with meat. I did real well on keto, but still, the bloating was terrible after eating a salad. Now, I'm transitioning into a carnivore diet. Hopefully that works.
Salads are brutal. I think it's more due to the high fiber / cellulose rather than the carbs.
Agreed about the bloating! Especially plant heavy folk think that "food babies" are normal. It's common now but it's not normal at all
It’s also dangerous. Stretched organs become life threatening with constant ballooning and shrinking till they give up and can’t shrink fully anymore.
👍👍
Thanks for this video. I’ve been on keto and intermittent fasting for 31 days. It has changed my life. Yesterday I ate double carbs that I have kept at 20-25 grams/day. All but one of the symptoms (cramps) came rushing back. I didn’t recognize before that it was the carbs that negatively
affected me. Now I have a name for it - carb intolerance. Why in my whole life I have never put this together before I don’t know. Thank you again.
🤗🤗
Me too same problem
🙏🙏
A while ago I read about a method/study to figure out how well you digest carbs. I do not remember it exactly, but you had to put a piece of bread on your tongue and leave it there, and the time it takes for you to taste the sweetness can tell you how fast you break down those carbs due to the concentration of amylase in your mouth...
I wonder how Sjogren's Syndrome affects this. Lack of saliva is a real problem.
I almost immediately feel the sweetness. Does it mean my body is carbohydrate tolerate? Or intolerant? I'm sorry, I got kind of confused.
This is why I've switched to a carnivore lifestyle. Thank you for another wonderful, informative video! 🤗

Whenever I eat more carb, I am bloated, gassy, hungry. I was worried why I am bloated all the time. Thanks for this information. I will cut down my carb intake and will update .

Magnesium is soooo underrated!

Thanks for sharing I had no idea
I had no idea either. I’m in the process of weaning off of Cymbalta. TY
Great. Now you should work on getting off the Pharma poison. It causes mitochondrial damage.
I have experienced all of those symptoms except for abdominal cramps, and with type 2 diabetes being so prevalent in my family, I don't think my genetic make up is adequate for a high-carb diets.

Your channel is such a blessing to me. Thank you

Wow! So it is the carbohydrates that are making me have more pain. And the stools wow you have exactly what I have I guess I'm intolerant to carbs.
I starved myself fat on 1200 low fat, high fibre carefully measured and weighed calories a day. I could get 70 thousand plus steps on a step counter at work and I went to the gym daily. I could barely fit in to a size 18.

I have all 8 symptoms!! I only feel good when I live a keto lifestyle.
I have several of these symptoms. I was surprised about nausea. I used to complain about that and my former wife would think I was being silly. It is good to know it isn't all my "fault" or lack of will power. Still I have to take responsibility now that I know where the issue lies. Thanks Kait.
🙏🙏
I’ve never heard of Carb intolerance, I’ve cut out dairy and gluten which has greatly improved my health but I’m still experiencing most of the symptoms you mentioned today, which is totally ridiculous because WHAT CAN I EAT? I literally hate eating anything because of the after effects fatigue, bloating and gas if ever I’m going out or visiting people I just don’t eat because it’s the only time I comfortable.
I used to joke even bread gives me gas. No bread and low carb now, and a lot less gas!
Great video, Kait! Thank you!

I figured this out a few years ago when I went low carb & I ate so little food that I was able to notice how everything affected me.
🙏🙏
I'm going through this now. I got really sick and could hardly eat. As I reintroduced food I noticed carbs seem to hate me. I feel so bad after simple things like an English muffin or a graham cracker.
Eating certain "foods", i get mostly leg cramps and bloating. But sometimes also headache, light-headedness and joint pain.
So usually try to steer clear of those "foods" :)
I found that applecider vinegar is effective to help ease the impact of sugar and starchy things, and calm my stomach
Learning something new everyday and always a great help on daily living. Thanks Kait!

Yes yes yes ect....all of the above! Plus.....I'm a Carb/ Sugar/Addict. Probably on the verge of Insulin Resistance. Stress eater. Ect ect.....😒
My life struggle . I stopped eating bread all together and it had helped with gas , bloating and fatigue . Now trying to stop eating other carbs …A struggle tho
Sounds like you've taken steps in the right direction and already seen results! 🙏 You don't have to be perfect, just do the best you can.
I'm lost. Hahahaha
This birthday will be my third birthday with no cake. I have a t-bone instead. Yummy
Kait maybe you should do a video about High carbs(fast food) dependency.
You could also be lactose intolerant too.

I too had signs of carb intolerance. As a result now I don’t consume carbs nearly as much as before and no more gas and bloating. Plus I’ve subtracted 30 lbs without feeling deprived.
👏👏
@@HealthCoachKait I seem to have a problem taking ACV. My mouth gets swollen and tender and coming out it isn’t pleasant either!
I definitely have experienced most of these symptoms when I was eating SAD but Keto/Carnivore changed my life!
🤗🤗
I have all of these and I have been suffering. I look 9 months pregnant after I eat . Thank You definitely cutting those carbs out.
I'm diabetic and celiac. I avoid carbs. Rarely eat them. When I do, I have to take insulin. But no matter how much insulin I take, I feel really crappy after eating carbs. Quite horrible actually. So, it's rare now when I eat them.
🙏🙏
Do you eat carnivore style?
@@MzClementine what?
You have to reset your gut bugs. Firstly, start taking creatine. The body REQUIRES good creatine levels to produce stomach acid. Second, get on a keto lectin avoidance diet. I used the book "The Plant Paradox" by doctor Steven Gundry. His 3 day reset diet should get your gut bacteria headed on the right track again. Eat like that for about a year, and you can probably eat carbs again ..... Although, I did that, and I still prefer to stick with the keto lectin avoidance diet. But I can eat carbs with no problems now too.
Awesome Kait I have all the symptoms 🙏 keep up the good work and may you stay blessed.
Good point. High progesterone can increase appetite that way.
I totally have intolerance to rice and legumes. Once I got them off my diet, I felt so much better and I lost 20 lbs!
Great info, thanks for sharing. Yes! I have fatigue and the afternoon craving..who knew?!
I figured that fruits are a perfect substitute for all starches. They don't need any additional processing or seasoning. Just eat them and there's a lot of veriety in fruit. Quick energy boost for my exercises without bloating or crashes then I eat animal products for satiety. Super easy diet.
This is how I have been doing and feel so much better last two weeks. Mostly meat and some low glycemic fruits
Gout is tied to
Insulin Resistance and
Pre-Diabetes.... mainly diet.
HbA1c higher than 5.5% is
pre-Diabetes.
It is alcohol, fructose that are the worst for Gout.
Then carbohydrates; sugars and starches.
Doctors are usually wrong about diet.
Ooh goddamn, the sugar cravings come for me hard after dinner and Ive never really heard any explanation for it!
It was so helpfull to watch the video. I skuffer for mere than half the symptoms. As im in Denmark i Will try my gp for an examination. Thank you so much
Thanks for the video Coach Kait!
🙏🙏
Bad indigestion is my main problem with carbs. I also have many of the other symptoms but never put it together that carb insensitivity was possible.
I've given up carbs but I had ALL those symptoms.
I submit to you that this actually might be an intolerance to glyphosate which is what many people mistake things like gluten intolerance and Crohn's disease for. Toxic Legacy is a book written by Dr. Stephanie Seneff which speaks about this in extensive detail
I feel like garbage when I eat carbs, this video explains a lot 🙏🏼
Possibly or insulin resistant. Trying to figure it out now. Thanks for the info. Always a wealth of knowledge.
🙏🙏
I have noticed certain carb rich foods cause some serious bloating. Of course depends how much I eat. But some carb sources don't do it as bad such as bananas and yuca.
This just helped me realize I have to chew more. I’m usually a fast eater.
Thanks Kait,im just going to finish my last packet of chocolate biscuits and go back on keto.....i have all those symptoms except nausia....i feel so good when using healthy fat as an energy source......its great you have brought up this subject no one talks about....CARB INTOLERANCE....thanks again
🙏🙏
Excellent presentation young lady.. First time I have listened to you. You sound as if you could present anything well and make it interesting.
🤗🤗
So glad i came across this video. I have all but 1 or 2 symptoms
I actually took a very in depth DNA test and it said my body tended to want to hold onto carbs and I should be on a low carb diet
