Sadly I don't make use of these ducts anymore since I switched to an HGLRC Veyron35 CR Pusher frame for various reasons, including a custom headtracker system which tilts the naked GoPro with a servo: th-cam.com/video/6kOobxEzTyk/w-d-xo.html
Just seen your design on Thingiverse for the Toroidal prop - you beat me to it! I suspect a lot of folks are working on designs for these atm, Going to try your 3.5" design and see how we get on. 👍
When doing the chamfer on the standoff, I think you can extrude the top surface, then click on the 45° edge. It will extrude to that surface making the top surfaces align and being 45. Works sometimes I think
its funny to hear that name ... guess i have to rename it to my real, one time xd ... aaand an other tipp^^ if you open your last duct designe .. and go to the sketch ... you can drag a box around your it and highlight all of it .. press CTRL+C... then tab over to your new design and Ctrl+v (you have to be in a Sketch) ... done, you got your old sketch .. or part of it ... if you shift select it ... in your new design ... saves some time if you already done it somewhere else ;)
about your chamfer on the Standoffs ... you can do it the same as you done the duckt ring ... just extrude the standoffs way higher and do a new sketch and revolve it around to get a very nice 45° chamfer ps.: i write a new comment once at a time .. im bad ad remembering all the things ^^
The revolve to cut around the stand-offs didn't cross my mind at all, but makes so much sense. Just goes to show how many ways there are to go about doing things in parametric design. Guess it's the kind of thing you pick up as you go along, just gets added to the bank of nifty tricks. Will have to remember that for next time, cheers. That being said I feel like I'm done with ducts, gonna' move on to less rounded objects, hehe.
yeah im doing Fusion for a long time now .. i picked up 1 or 2 things... and im still learning how to do things ... and what Fusion likes and doesn't like ^^

Nice I always want to learn to design my own stuff
Hope this helped then!

Haha, cheers, let me know how it goes. Got a video on the toroidal design now as well, hehe:

Nice video my friend! Well done.
thanks for the detailed video, with this I was able to make mine with slightly wide diameter.
Excellent, glad I could help out
Hey I just made my very first own design thanks to you! Thanks!
Glad to hear it!

I'll have to go back and give that a try, always up for learning new tricks. Cheers 👍
Nice thanks 👍
No problem 👍
This was super interesting, thank you! I would love to see you design a duct for a 5" quad.
Cheers! I'd love to give that a go, but gotta get a 5" up in the air first, hehe 😁
@@STRIKINGFPV Hopefully some day. Again, extremely interesting.
