Allan Sherman was the absolute best at song parodies, and Tom Lehrer was his equal at original songs. What gifts they both had!

Barely remember hearing Sherman (and the Beatles, remember them?) on my Mom's radio when I was in preschool in the 60s. I heard Sherman on Dr, Demento in college and grabbed all his LPs (most of them, anyway!) at used stores. He is brilliant. Savvy, witty and wise about the pop culture of the era. The songs still make me laugh and smile!
