This album rips through its entire run time. Tracks like "Infinite Resurrection" and the title track, make me want to break windows with windows. I love the atmosphere of it, this dirty, rotten, Doom Metal sound that has intruded Death Metal is bringing in lots of new talent and music! For me this was a solid 8.5/10. It's not cutting edge, but it doesn't need to be. Fun, Energetic, Doomy and very mosh friendly! P.S. The new Slipknot record was their best since Iowa.

I'm very surprised that you stylistically compared Tomb Mold to Cannibal Corpse and Autopsy. Tomb Mold is one of those Cavernous Death Metal bands, death metal that is purposely more atmospheric and drenched in reverb that's idea is to bring back 90's death metal, Incantation being the PRIME example of that sound. Opposed to cannibal corpse, misery index, abysmal dawn, or anything with a lot of triggers and very clean/crisp production. Death metal for black metal kids to enjoy, too.

It's usually largely because of their vocals, Tomb Mold included. Can someone just describe what they love about this band and others in this genre? I have really fleshed out my music tastes in recent years but metal is still the most difficult for me, except for classic metal like Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Judas Priest. I also liked that recent Sleep album.
im honestly not sure either, but id say its just be because of how heavy and nasty it is. classic metals more "clean", if you would, when compared to genres like death metal, and that grime can appeal to alot of people. its all just a matter of preferences

I think what is missing in this analysis is that this album is a nod to the Finndeath sound, which is disgusting but a bit more doomy sounding DM in the OSDM vein. I think it does a great job is keeping that sound alive. As a DM fan of some significant amount of time, I prefer this variation more than a lot, but to each their own.
I feel like the mix for both Manor and Planetary fit the feel that they were going for, in terms of both the cover and lyrical content. Manor has a brooding, dark, and cavernous feel to it, which seems to make sense for songs like Abysswalker and Gored Embrace. Planetary, on the other hand, seems to go towards a more outer space feel, so it feels a lot more chaotic and frantic compared to Manor. I couldn't get into Manor, and even though I'm really digging this new Tomb Mold album, I get where you're coming from. It's a 7/10 for me

So much groove and flow on the riffs on that album in a way that most other death metal bands do not do. Lyrically pretty different and interesting. You did get it right on the production of that album vs. this one though.
When you exhaled at the beginning I heard a computer error sound from somewhere in the house. I’m honestly disappointed that it was coincidence and not a bit.
Played with Tomb Mold in Hamilton at Polish Legion hall a few years ago. Didn’t know much about them at the time.. I was so blown away by them. easily one of the most punishing bands I’ve ever listened to. This record is a death metal classic.
Check out the new humanity’s last breath album, they really came into their own and I think you’ll love it. I haven’t heard another metal album like it

I think I've finally realized Im gonna disregard all of melon's fantano's opinions on metals lol. I respect him as a reviewer but over the last 2 years hes proved his view on metal just doesnt align with mine.
Like Old Faithful, it can be counted on that if Melon doesn't like a metal album, you can rest assured that album is gold all the way through. I love that he makes it so easy. I would rate Fantano's taste in metal a 0/10 and because of that, his review system is a 10/10.
I played a gig with these guys back in 2017 and they totally stole the show and blew everybody away - Hands down one of the greatest Death Metal bands in Toronto by far. They def got as successful as they did for a good reason.

We left before the headliner after Tomb Mold (weird weeknight show that started late), but they had a really fun show in Atlanta about a month ago.

In regards to the sound quality, that’s what they’re going for. It’s supposed to sound muddy and dark. It’s not some high production, Slayer album.
