Great to see some excellent and great value UK pickups the channel. Thought these sounded great and that’s a lovely guitar. Great playing as ever to showcase the sparkle especially of those pickups
Have to agree with other comments, the blue on the Tokai is fantastic. Really a beautiful color, esp with the dark rosewood. I honestly liked both sets of pickups, though they did sound different. I am curious how the Fuzzy Ducks sound compared to the Bootstrap pickups you tried last year?
Those sound great. I like thr vinatge sounding pickups myself too. I just reached out to them to inquire about their Silver 90's set. Im hoping they will do unpotted for them. Great sounding Tele.
@AudiomoMusic Sure thing. I should hear back sometime in the middle of the night as it'll be working and regular business hours Monday morning for them then. I'll shoot you a message and let you know.
For sure, and the real difference to me was the dynamic response. it's super obvious in the second clip with the DR.Z, i had all of the gain still on from the protein at t the end and it cleaned up really well.
I've never been a Fan of the T-Style Guitars, Butttt Ohhh, Mann😲...I Must Say & Definitelyyy, Gotta Admit, Dat Teleeee is just Gorgeous😍, My Brother...🫡Great Review, BTW💯💯👏🏽👏🏾
Some can be that low yeah, but tele pickups also die. I had a set from the early 80's recently go on me and made a video about why/how this happens, it comes with the territory of the design
Did Tokai have to change the headstock? Come to some agreement with Fender? I've seen so many of their products that are exact replicas of Fender guitars, to see one with an altered headstock is a little weird.
The ones from the 70's and some of the 80's were pretty dead on pre lawsuit. I've been used to this headstock shape for a while and kind of forgot about it until you mentioned it haha

love the guitar itself, cost less than a lot of pedals these days but was actually built well and plays great haha
Beautiful Tokai 🤩🤩🤩

Gorgeous looking guitar and great sounding boutique pickups. I wonder what a Strat set would sound like??(!!) 🙂🙂🎸🎸

that's actually dope, let me know what they respond back to you with

Either set for me! Beautiful Tele. 👍
A nice comparison. I didn't think the stock pickups were too shabby, but the Fuzzy Ducks had a bit more upper-end sparkle.

It'd be impossible to hate a guitar that looks like this haha
@@AudiomoMusic Exactly 💯
What about non-boutique pickups with the boutique prices?
that would be a pretty bad deal
Vintage Fender pickups from the 70s are only like $200 each

@@AudiomoMusic Still a beautiful guitar, love that blue with the binding.
Love the guitar!! The Fuzzy Ducks are cool but I'd throw a set of Duncans in it. 😊
i didn't realize how much the color on this guitar shifts depending on light, in some parts of the video it almost looks like a dark purple!
