Notice how the people are dressed in the audience, back in the 60’s and into the 70’s you wore your Sunday best to any public event. And flying on a plane, you didn’t see people in pajamas and sweats, you dressed up. I loved those times!
I was 4 years old when Elvis died in 1977 so I was too young to remember it, but I grew up a lifelong Elvis fan. I finally got to visit Graceland last month and it was more than worth the wait. Hopefully I'll get to go back again. RIP Elvis and Lisa Marie

If you grew up watching his movies and listening to his music, and liked him as a performer, you along with fans all over the world felt a heart connection with Elvis. Elvis vibrated at a high frequency. His charisma was and still is boundless. Fans didn't just adore Elvis, they loved him and still do. And everyone during his time knew what a precious gift he was. We still do and we miss him.
Hey you two I saw Elvis twice a year in Las Vegas from 69 through 77 . My name is Gary Voorhees and in 1972 I had my two daughters there up front center stage and Elvis pulled my daughter on stage ! For his 25th anniversary of his death I was there at the gate with my candle ! And every Sunday morning I put my his gospel on ! He is still the king of rock and roll the greatest entertainer of all time ! IDick Clark said it all the two words that everyone knows in the world is Elvis and coke cola ! And another rid bit he was going to do a show at the astrodome in Houston and they told him to leave the black girls home ! And guess what he told them ? He said unless they are there he won’t come !!! Gary

I was at this show as a teenager; My high school job boss, Mrs.Helen Mears' brother was head of security for the hotel and got tickets for my parents and me. We drove down from San Francisco and had seats in the 5th row center. My parents weren't Elvis fans before this but thoroughly-enjoyed this show. The song here was JUST ONE SONG. Due to my bosses' brother, my parents and I were allowed to meet Elvis just briefly and shake his hand. It was a different and better world then.
The is and will never be another Elvis. No other singer, entertainer and God's best looking man on this planet! He was a great gossiple singer and religious man. Nobody will ever come close to the man and entertainer he was I grew up listening to Elvis as a very young little girl in N.C. I love him even more as I grew up and still to this day get chills hearing or seeing him perform. This is my 1st time seeing you two I AM HOOKED. Love what y'all are doing and could listen and watch ALL DAY!!!
Elvis Presley may be joking about with the audience but that belies the fact his performance was rehearsed to perfection because he was perfectionist. When Sammy Davis Jr. was asked to rate Elvis Presley on a one-to-ten scale, he rated him an eleven.
For sure...seeing him LIVE was an experience...He was the absolute undeniable greatest show personality EVER! He had the voice, the looks, the moves, and the personality. He had a great sense of humour to top it all off. God bless that man. I miss him so much.
I grew up listening to Elvis. All these songs remind me of my childhood. I was 14 when he died. I remember it so well. All over the tv and radio. Seemed like the whole world was in mourning. Brilliant, Superb, Wonderful ELVIS Presley was and is still the Greatest of all time Live Stage Performer, Terrific movie actor and singer. Two Thumbs Up! 😀😍☺️
Loving your channel! I've been an Elvis fan since I was 11 years old. I'm a 43 year old black woman and I have seen all of Elvis' movies. Love him and his music. Went to Graceland when I was 13 years old. Amazing.
He loved to make noises with the microphone to get a laugh he was very entertaining and funny he made me laugh all the time that is the kind of friend he was. He sometimes forgot the lyrics of some songs so he had cribs notes. Awesome reaction love to you both from the one and only Memphis Tn. I love y'all! I'm 72 and grew up on Elvis but my only regret I was too poor to ever see him in Concert when he came to town! He was my first crush when I saw him in love me tender at 6yrs. Old. I love him even more today and appreciate him so much more now after learning things we had no idea about! Like how very religious he was and always had a Bible with him wherever he went And Read it! Also how generous he was to total strangers, that he also was knowledgeable on about Every subject because he was a forosious reader and had cases of books with him on tour. He always stuck up for black people and hated discrimination of Any kind! I'm so glad I discovered y'all's channel or whatever you call it! I'm not good on the mechanics of electronics of iPhones or I pads. My I pad is use mainly for Elvis and I watch videos of him and learning more and more facts about him. LOL Have you heard him sing gospel yet? It'll blow you away! I never listened to it much before, but Elvis takes you to Church when he sings it! He touches something deep inside me when I hear him sing it. There's a couple he did in his shows in Vegas that I can't get enough of and play quite often one is How Great Thou Art! I downloaded one of his gospel albums but watching him in live performances is so much better because you can see his reverance and the Feeling he has for the song. He really belts it out with such strength and also softly on other parts. I'll look at my playlist and see which live performances they are and get back to you.

Elvis grew up in poverty, had great love , admiration and respect for the black community and the music. Growing up he got his influence from the early black gospel songs in church. He took that and added his own style and opened up the doors for all other entertainers black and white. As far as music goes, Elvis always knew that music has no colour. You know, to interact with the band, first you have to actually... have a band, and not a backing track, lol. Elvis, of course, LOVED his fans. I get the impression that he remained in awe, somewhat, of the fact that he had fans. He was also acutely aware of the fact that his fans paid the bills. So he loved them, and appreciated them. The ideal place for him to interact with his fans, in any meaningful sense, was on stage. That's why he was commited to putting on the best show possible, and joked around on stage all the time. And, of course, that's why he loved to perform live. He got tired of doing movies, for similar reasons. There was no fan interaction, to speak of, and he also missed having some control. A lot of songs and lines in scripts, he found banal, unentertaining, and downright stupid.
When Elvis died I was in my last year at school I still remember sitting on the sofa and it came on the TV every radio station played Elvis it did seem like the world had stopped the TV was playing his films concerts this just went on for weeks his records were every were in the charts and that was just in the uk 🇬🇧
Oh and A-mazing response! You have to keep a close eye on him because he jokes about in his comments and actions and he really didn’t need anything else other than his charisma and personality in order to entertain!
Elvis Presley was promoted to 9th degree black in Kenpo karate in 1976. Ginger Alden, his last girlfriend, has his 9th degree kenpo karate certificate.
@@mexicanfries5336 well thats cool , I've heard or read so much over the years, if I ever knew that I obviously didn't recall . So glad we have utube to spread the correct info. Thanks.
Love it, and love the props you give a guy who set the bar for Rockstars, he as the original and it's pretty obvious why he's called the King isn't it! Thanks for exploring Elvis's music and great to see young people discovering what a talent and complex artist he was. :)
Been a fan since the early 60s. One of my favorites is Bridge Over Trouble Water from the same 1970 Vegas concerts as PS Annie. As for the note, sometimes when he would learn new songs he would have a little trouble remembering the words to one of the verses. So he would write down the verse onto a small piece of paper, tuck it into his belt, and read it before singing. He did it pretty often and it turned into kind of a joke with him. But he said he’d rather do that than screw up the words.
Well they also rehearsed 50-60 songs for a couple of days, sometimes he would forget a words to songs he did in 1956-1956 or it would be a brand new song that was coming out on record and hadn't sung many times.
Thank-you for checking out Elvis. I love watching him in concert. He is very unique and special. I love the song When you Walk through a Storm. Very inspirational song for all us going through hard times. His words tell us that no matter what is going on in our lives God is always there with us. " Hold your head up high and don t be afraid of the dark because at the end of the storm there is a golden sky". Love this song. And I love Welcome to my World. Thanks again guys, l love your comments .💖
Elvis certainly was an inspiration to every singer and group that followed him. You guys are an inspiration to every couple around the world. I love you
This was one of the first times he ever performed this song on stage. The "note" was actually the lyric sheet, and he wanted to make sure he remembered the words to the last couple of verses. Luckily he was so smooth that most people didn't realize he was doing it. He would sneak little "cheat sheets" onto the stage a lot...but it was still awesome! I was just a little kid at the time, but my cousin was his drummer throughout the 70s (including this show), so I got to see him in concert several times during the decade.
I've heard it's a note from a fan that was given to him earlier in the show and he decided to read it at that moment....apparently. there's a full show version
I love seeing your reactions! I grew up on Elvis; starting at age 15 I saw over 100 shows in Las Vegas, and by age 17 was attending his after-the-late-show parties! I love seeing young people discovering him.... he fits in to every generation, then and now.. relevant, for all time!
@@ShawnandMel4Life yes, it was. I'll just say this: what you see here, how handsome he was.... he wasn't even photogenic... it doesn't seem possible, but it's true that he was even better looking in person! Thank you for your meaningful reactions and discussions! Godspeed to you both....

Hey Don Elvis was so awesome and still is today💜😀
Him and Freddie best at it
When Elvis died I was in my last year at school I still remember sitting on the sofa and it came on the TV every radio station played Elvis it did seem like the world had stopped the TV was playing his films concerts this just went on for weeks his records were every were in the charts and that was just in the uk 🇬🇧
Wow Alan I know it must have been really hard for everyone. Thank you so much for your comment💜😀
You might want to have the takeover for the next 6 months. He recorded over 900 songs. Good job guys.
Sorry to correct a little bit!
He recorded about 750 - 800 songs.
Some say even 800 are too much.
Wow Kevin thank you for the information. I want to do every song💜💜💜
ABSOLUTELY....and THEN some!

You're right, he made only some records!
Oh and A-mazing response! You have to keep a close eye on him because he jokes about in his comments and actions and he really didn’t need anything else other than his charisma and personality in order to entertain!
Just The King.was one da Vinci and one elvis.we never see this again
Elvis is the Mountain
He holds an eight degree black belt in karate. There are cool karate montages to view ,Elvis has the moves in his stage shows ..
Wow 🤩
Elvis Presley was promoted to 9th degree black in Kenpo karate in 1976. Ginger Alden, his last girlfriend, has his 9th degree kenpo karate certificate.
@@mexicanfries5336 well thats cool , I've heard or read so much over the years, if I ever knew that I obviously didn't recall .
So glad we have utube to spread the correct info. Thanks.

Google Elvis Presley 9th degree black belt and you will see it on " Google images".
@@mexicanfries5336 why I believed you
Love it, and love the props you give a guy who set the bar for Rockstars, he as the original and it's pretty obvious why he's called the King isn't it! Thanks for exploring Elvis's music and great to see young people discovering what a talent and complex artist he was. :)
Thank you so much Frank. Elvis was the Kinggggg
Hello Karl we will put this song on our list.. thank you so much for being part of the Elvis Presley takeover💜😀
Hey Giovanna, thank you so so much for watching and commenting. We will definitely add your request the list💜😀
Elvis certainly was an inspiration to every singer and group that followed him. You guys are an inspiration to every couple around the world. I love you
Hey James thank you so much and we love you too💜😀
This was one of the first times he ever performed this song on stage.
It was a note given to him by a lady in the audience during the prior song. How my lyrics would fit on that tiny piece of paper?
I've heard it's a note from a fan that was given to him earlier in the show and he decided to read it at that moment....apparently. there's a full show version
Peeple would slip him notes and he would read them. Imagine what it would be like to be at one of his concert. He cared for his fans.
I love seeing your reactions! I grew up on Elvis; starting at age 15 I saw over 100 shows in Las Vegas, and by age 17 was attending his after-the-late-show parties! I love seeing young people discovering him.... he fits in to every generation, then and now.. relevant, for all time!
Wow Kathleen that's amazing. Thank you so much for watching. I know it was awesome seeing the King💜
Check out "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" and "Love Me Tender" from 1970 concert.
Hey Kevin we will check it out thank you
the G.O.A.T. period he was a black belt in karate
Hey one love thank you and yes he was the GOAT😀
He had an 8th degree black belt.
He has so much energy, diversity , unique, give him any song & he would sing it. See how he has grown your channel!
I love watching other people fall for Elvis. He always exceeds expectations people have about him. I remembered a stamp and a guy with a big swoop of hair. There’s so much more there!!! PS You guys are the cutest, I love how you both let the other take the lead at times 😍
