That comment is in regards to the Rock music industry as a whole, and a singing "star", a new concept. Of course there where Black blues players and Jazz singing stars in America decades before, but nobody knew about them. The Beatles really admired Elvis, and they ended up eclipsing him in just about every way. I heard a story that Paul became a vegatarian because of Linda, but also how fat and slovenly Elvis had gotten in the mid-70's.

THERE IS NO ONE THAT HAS SOUNDED THIS GOOD LIVE!!! I watched Elvis performances- Aloha from Hawaii and listened to several live albums- he did in the 70's when I was a child growing up in the 80's. Listening to Elvis' voice was my mom and my own comfort. I loved watching Elvis performances also because he was so uncanny and funny live. I don't see that alot in performers nowadays.
I remember seeing Elvis in "That's the Way it Is" and Aloha when I was five or six years old. I thought "This is the coolest dude who ever lived". And that opinion has never changed.
Not just Elvis but the band was amazing. The amount of songs they had to know while watching his movements for the change ups that could come out of nowhere, while showing the audience that they are having the best times of their lives.
Band members said they had to learn his body language. He used karate moves to cut off songs or start new ones. Sometimes he took requests from audience members and would do an unplanned song on a dime. His band was amazing and he was great to them as well. I’m covering Elvis and a member of the TCB band next week so I’ve been researching this all week.
I'm a 44yr old guy who lives in Kentucky. My mom is a HUGE Elvis fan. I also recently just watched this movie. It's a helluva movie and watching it invigorated a passion for Elvis that I did not know I had. I've always liked him but now I love him. Especially his later stuff. My mom says his later concerts where extremely passionate and that he dripped passion with every breath and movement. Along with If I Can Dream, Suspicious Eyes is another one of my favorite songs of Elvis that I have liked since I was a teenager. Great stuff... Watching his I Can Dream debut on TH-cam brought me to your channel as this is my 1st time here. I subscribed and liked. It's great to see a guy that my mom loved in her day (she is 68) still influencing and inspiring people today. If I Can Dream is a song that rings especially true during these trying times that we are living in... Long live The King!
@Peace UP I must add, in my opinion, there has never been a time when Elvis wasn`t passionate about his music. All his performances were driven by a magical force. In fact, I love his album "From Elvis in Memphis", since you mentioned that you especially love his later stuff :) It`s a fact that your mom has incredible taste :)))

You know what's so special about Elvis he has those beautiful eyes and that sexy smile not to mention he looks so great in that suit can dance charisma you can never take your eyes off him plus his voice is like nobody else
ELVIS could sing any song with conviction. He believed in every song he sang. He took it deep in his soul and every emotion he ever felt came out immersed in the lyrics. You listening to to them felt his heartbreak, excitement, passion as your very own. So you feel connected on a spiritual level. YOU experience the emotion he conveyed. You can do that because he believed his song. A song is a Dream and all Elvis' dreams came true. How can you not love him for that? Elvis was fascinated by power but had so much respect for Authority. He has Blatant Sensuality, but could be a shy Momma's boy. These multiple aspects of his personality seemed to enhance his immage, account for the way his appeal bridge cultural, economic, generational gaps all over the world. Women could lust after him or want to mother him or be his little sister. He was macho enough for young studs to admire, but was devoutly religious & believed in family values. In a strange way Elvis had became everyman. There was always a part of him that struck a responsive cord in the listener - as if he had became a part of you, or you of him.
I am really digging the reaction of the vocal coach. Her reaction seems so authentic . It's great to see after all these years that Elvis can still turn people on.

Damn right the band was awesome and Elvis was on fire between the lyrics the music and his moves just awesome, an awesome site to see, The King Forever.
I'm glad people are appreciating the absolute talent Elvis surrounded himself with on stage. The band and vocalists needed to be on par, and able to keep up with Elvis' impulsive performances. No doubt Elvis would have needed to tone down the physicality of his act as he got older, if we hadn't lost him so soon, but he could keep an audience enthralled just with his voice. Such range, and absolutely divine vibrato. The host brought up one thing that I think surprised her, and that was the fun that Elvis had on stage. When he flashed his killer smile his whole face would light up. The man loved what he did, and the audience got caught up in that. We still get caught up in it, watching these films and videos decades later.

He learned karate in the late 60s while mounting his comeback, after fading a bit in the middle of the decade. He incorporated that into his performances; mentally serene and physically dynamic.
One of the things that I've always loved about his liver performances is that you can see, after a few watch throughs, how he guides the band and backup vocalists through his off book moments by certain dance moves.

Simply the king. As John Lenon said "Before Elvis there was nothing."
so by that statement is he saying Elvis created the world?
Or
was he making fun of Elvis?
That comment is in regards to the Rock music industry as a whole, and a singing "star", a new concept. Of course there where Black blues players and Jazz singing stars in America decades before, but nobody knew about them.
The Beatles really admired Elvis, and they ended up eclipsing him in just about every way.
I heard a story that Paul became a vegatarian because of Linda, but also how fat and slovenly Elvis had gotten in the mid-70's.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 John was a smartass, so probably both. They admired Elvis, in England there was nothing like him. But on the other hand, Elvis relied on handlers and song writers throughout his career, something the Beatles never needed.
@@bwana-ma-coo-bah425 No he wasn't making fun of Elvis. This is the response he gave when asked what got him into wanting to be a rock star.

you "Of course there where Black blues players and Jazz singing stars in America decades before, but nobody knew about them. "
are you serious?
I am 76 years old and I never stopped loving Elvis .
My 82-year-old sister feels the same!
The voice is great. The performance is fantastic. The cool factor is 11 out of 10.
I remember seeing Elvis in "That's the Way it Is" and Aloha when I was five or six years old. I thought "This is the coolest dude who ever lived".
And that opinion has never changed.
Karate stances, brilliant voice, gospel tones, fantastic band behind him, great song, and he never did a song the same way twice that is THE KING.
Saw Elvis 2 times in the 70s. Still the King......Always will be!
Probably the worlds greatest live performer. He owned the stage....absolutely brilliant!
Not just Elvis but the band was amazing. The amount of songs they had to know while watching his movements for the change ups that could come out of nowhere, while showing the audience that they are having the best times of their lives.
Indeed!
@Peace UP
I must add, in my opinion, there has never been a time when Elvis wasn`t passionate about his music. All his performances were driven by a magical force.
It`s funny, you`re from Kentucky :) I so love his "Kentucky Rain". In fact, I love his album "From Elvis in Memphis", since you mentioned that you especially love his later stuff :)
It`s a fact that your mom has incredible taste :)))
What you said about ‘you liked Elvis but now you love him after watching the movie and you put it perfectly I am the same
Wasn’t he wonderful? So handsome, talented, everything? There will only be one King of Rock and Roll! ELVIS
That man had it all right up to the end, his voice never failed him, so very sad that this wonderful man is gone, There will never, ever be another like him

Elvis in his prime, what's not to absolutely love about this performance? Fun reaction. 👍
Everyone on stage was firing on all cylinders
Elvis singing If I can dream. His best performance ever.
Elvis has now left the building!
it probably is my favorite live performance period.
My No 1 all time favourite, written for the 68' special.
Mankinds best performance ever... I believe.
As an old English punk, you don't have to be a vocal coach to love "The King!"🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
This man was out of this world good. Vocals, performing, groove, originality… when this dude was on stage the world stopped to watch and listen. LEGEND.
That voice without the accompaniments just sends shivers down everyone's spine! So incredible!
You can't do enough of him.. He was, is and will always be the King.. Talk about a performer.. Appreciate you so much for this.
So I "thank you, thank you very much"...
Greatest performer ever most handsome man charisma and talent is off the charts thank you great reaction 👍👍
4:24 "Ah Yes! Give it me!" Mesmerized Rebecca lost her words lol! Great review on Elvis! Too many people these days have no idea about how talented he truly was.
You know what's so special about Elvis he has those beautiful eyes and that sexy smile not to mention he looks so great in that suit can dance charisma you can never take your eyes off him plus his voice is like nobody else
Outrageous!
I have to disagree on the voice reverend rob joyce sounds exactly like him
So basically, all of him, I agree
@@jimmysmith773 No he doesn't, he doesn't look like him either
YES!
She expressed what we all thought and wanted to feel, too.
She was really great, got me excited with her 🤣
It was a verry sexy response. Blows my mind that Elvis', let's call it mojo, had the same effect on a woman in 2021 as it did in 1969.
@@rodscooltunes1640 When the vocal coach says she really like to meet him you believe her. Elvis should only know that 45 years after he left this Earth that he can still make pretty ladies hot and bothered. Most men can't even do that now !
Elvis still has it , the one and only Elvis !
Elvis Presley - If I Can Dream ('68 Comeback Special 50th Anniversary ) this will blow you away if you havent seen it cheers
You have o idea how much joy I get watching people experiencing Elvis. HE IS AN EXPERIENCE!

SOME PEOPLE MAY HAVE THEIR DOUBTS ABOUT IF HE IS THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL!!! BUT, I CAN GIVE YOU A FACT: ELVIS WAS THE FIRST SINGER TO INCORPERATE THE DRUMS INTO HIS BAND! BEFORE ELVIS EVERYONE USED EITHER THE GUITARS ;MAYBE PIANO; BUT NEVER DRUMS WHILE ON STAGE WITH THE GUITARS. HE WAS THE FIRST! THIS PRODUCED THE ROCK AND ROLL SOUND. HE WAS DEFINITELY THE FIRST... AND THE KING OF ROCK AND ROLL. HE WAS FOLLOWED BY EVERY GROUP AFTER HIM!!!
I watched an interview where he explained that his stage fright never really went away and his leg shaking was how he directed that nervous energy
As a child I would watch him in concert, early 70s. My mother was beside herself while he sang. We didn't dare interrupt. Still to this day I will listen to Elvis and I'm still awestruck. One of a kind.
The best looking man I’ve ever seen. American Trilogy another good one. Aloha From Hawaii best concert.
'How Great Thou Art' is good too. ELVIS loved to sing Gospel
Big. Jay. You. R. Soso. Rt
His studio version from 1966 is best. It's not only beautiful, but reverent.
See why? Pastor Bob Joyce. TH-cam.

Yes!! his voice was made for that song! i love the 1972 concert version
I loved watching you watch this! He was really drawing out that song with his sexuality, loved he made you holler! He was afraid that people would forget him, Im sure he’s thrilled that someone who wasn’t born yet when he passed took such great pleasure in his performance ♥️
“Forget him”… Aliens and robots will be admiring Elvis a million years from now.
There's a chance that everyone forget HIM. The frickin' sun must grow and swallow the entire earth, it doesn't matter though, if there's an afterlife he'll live eternally there and in the minds of our immortal souls. He'll be like a greek or roman legend. We love you Elvis, in this world an in the next. Long live the KING!!! ♥️🎸👑
@@82pythons85 That they will! I've watching a few of these "live reaction vids" and I laugh at the hosts obviously new generation born decades after his death, only realising now what a truly magnificent performer he was, he had oodles and oodles of charisma, sexiness, talent in wheelbarrow loads, humility, he was the full package! I'm so glad new fans are discovering what many of us have known for years and still morn his death at such a young age, 42! May he be resting in peace, he gave it his all and did it his way, thank goodness for that!
That man was a legend, he can sing pop, rock and western perfectly. He always smiled and looks like he had a great time. Mighty craic
I LOVE THAT MAN!!! I grew up on Elvis. I was blessed enough to see him live in March 1977, I was 7, just before he died. What an amazing experiance! Fast forward to me, raising my own children, they too were brought up on Elvis....and much more. They are now 23, 26 and 27. They often bring up that they are the "only" people on the planet that can know the words to Elvis songs! I take that as a compliment!!!!!!!! They just laugh.

It's awesome to see his performance still have the same effect on women as it did back in the 1950's. It's truly transcendent to see this young lady's reaction

It's OK, Rebecca, I fangirl for Elvis and am proud of it. I was dancing and leg shaking as well. Love Elvis so much! 💖
As outstanding a performer and with such stage presence... his band deserves kudos... the drummer and that BASSIST tear it up!!! They were on fire that night... for sure!!
The drummer Ronnie Tutt is still perforing today. Jerry Scheff is the bass player.
I went to this concert he stopped the whole thing to get the speakers fixed he said this speaker needs that this speaker needs this and stopped for about 10 minutes and then continue this concert
@@TheJer1963 Sadly, Ronnie Tutt passed away in October of last year. He was with Neil Diamond's band for several years after Elvis' passing. Jerry Scheff, Glen D. Hardin and James Burton all joined John Denver's band after Elvis died.
This is literally the best performance he ever did if you ask me
Lovely Rebecca, chillin’ out with The King…that’s a good start to the weekend.
Elvis was the greatest singer of all time
I love the way you love Elvis. Love you.
Elvis did suffer from stage fright. He talked about it in an interview. There are video clips of him backstage, quite nervous before going on. But once he went on stage and the lights were on, it all went away. :) Love Elvis
If you want to see and hear what an amazing voice Elvis had please watch him doing American Trilogy live in Hawaii.. He absolutely nails it..
Excellent performance
Yes. That is one of the greatest performances of all time.
I don't think he can stop the music coming out of him from everywhere
The fact that he remembers ALL of the lyrics from these shows is incredible. Long before prompters with 2 inch fonts.
He's got a photographic memory
He learned karate in the late 60s while mounting his comeback, after fading a bit in the middle of the decade. He incorporated that into his performances; mentally serene and physically dynamic.
Ms. Rebecca, You are a beautiful lady and your reaction to Elvis is adorable. Thank You.
Thank you too!
This is the absolute best version of this. He adds the “shove it up your nose” and he’s playin’ with the back-up singer. Really really cool to see.
The King....his music is timeless.

He wasn’t nervous, it was a legendary performance.
He was absolutely nervous! Satellite concert shown around the world.
One of the things that I've always loved about his liver performances is that you can see, after a few watch throughs, how he guides the band and backup vocalists through his off book moments by certain dance moves.
I watched it, now I know why he's the king!!! , its so electrifying, that energy, I dunno y im in tears, its a lot of mix feeling, I feel like im there watching live. so FA-KING good!!!
Elvis was charisma incarnate, and that energy can still come thru a tv screen or phone 50+ years later.
We need to take a moment to appreciate how on point and tight that band is incredible
Been a total metal head and primary screamo fan since I was a teenager.... Suspicious Minds is still one of my favorite songs
same here. Also think same of Hank Williams Jr. with his vocals.

Most people don’t remember that Elvis often did two shows a day.
So glad he was the first singer I listened to at the age of 3. Paved the road, you know. "THIS is how it needs to be done". The timbre (Unchained Melody), the sassyness (Fever), the warmth (In the ghetto) the growl (If I can dream) he had fucking EVERYTHING.
