- Initially we wanted to get the Ute running in this video, but it turned into such a monster video that we decided to split it into two parts. Part 2 will drop on Monday morning at 7am.
Street Machine Carnage is all about having fun with cars. Sometimes it's serious performance, sometimes it's crazy fun, but it always interesting and done on a budget.

Thank you
Top of my list every Friday
Why so salty? Street machine your vids are always good it’s got Scotty in it. Only the best with him 😊
Best thing you’ve shown me mate is not even about cars, you’re a good example for staying task oriented and not feeing overwhelmed, and get it done 👍🏻
Lists are important, you need them to stay focused
Wow, great point and so true. You just get it done, Scotty, much respect to you.
Monday!!!! That’s soooo far awayyyyy!!
I think what makes Carnage so good to watch is it’s normal.
It’s not the influencer BS or the perfect never a problem build.
It’s pure workshop and the shit that works and the shit that stops the work
Only 742 episodes and it's still not running
Love the old school looney tunes references you drop.
My kids love the old bugs bunny cartoons. They don’t bother with watching new versions. They laugh and laugh just like we did as kids. It’s great to hear.
I can guaranty anyone that grew up watching loony tunes said in their head underlay underlay yipar yipar. When you said underlay. 😂
Speedy Gonzales and Hassan chop reference for us older blokes. Great episode as always Scotty.
11:56 Yes Scotty, I had to have stitches in my thumb from a certain mishap with the Stanley knife!
It's so true what you say Scotty about building a vehicle. Everyone normally looks at the outside, interior & what's under the bonnet without thinking about the wiring & the plumbing. I've really enjoyed this build & that includes the wiring which other TH-cam automotive channels tend to neglect. For me, I always love the wiring part of a build & I'm lucky to have the factory wiring diagrams for VT-VZ, VE-VF for when friends want to add extra electrical goodies.
If a Carnage episode is over an hour long, I'll still watch it. If it's split into parts, I'll watch them all. You've done this VS Ute a great service & the work that's gone into it. Roll on Monday!
So, the Carnage is the over-time episode. Clever, Scottie, very clever.
Good things about Fridays:
*End of the week
*Carnage...and
*Only 2 more days till it's Monday and another episode of Carnage!
That's tops!
Knox Auto Carpets are far more affordable! Moulded Charcoal loop pile for ute $255 with underfelt!
Scotty the car looks too beautiful to get dirty😂🍺🍺🍷
"Hussan Chop" awww I remember da Bug's and that little black duck ay, you awesome old sea salt... haha.
Arriba, Arriba! underlay, underlay.
Haha! Ippa ippa!
Can't wait to hear its voice and see it hit the track, gonna be an amazing car when it's done. Nice work Scotty, you can be proud of its transformation!
Love the work can't wait for Monday
Had to drink another 30 pack to “condense the list” haha
Love the beer carton divider checklist 😂
Coke in this instance but still applicable
Your VS ute is keeping my son and I going on our barra powered VS ute. Nice.
Oh man, if you started 30-60 minute videos my weekends would be complete, only thing that'd be missing is an omelet and an Irish coffee but who needs brekky when you've got Scotty, Scotty's garage and some good ole carnage
I would watch an hour of carnage Scotty You the Man
Hmmm the important part of quick is to be able to stop which in your case Scotty isn’t looking good enough. Overall great build thank you for sharing 🇦🇺👍
That's what parachutes are for
@@STREETMACHINETV kuffit. Forget the shoots and wait for the gravel trap no worries buddy by the sounds of U the thing is only staying on the track pulling the shoots on the street could be more problematic than no brakes. 🇦🇺👍
Yeah buddy bring on Monday 💪
an hour with you scotty is just fine
A Monday to look forward to .
Bring on Monday Scotty!
On the old carpet - look for the ute's broadcast sheet - stock to underside of underfelt on the drivers side.
I don't think it was there, but I can check again
@@STREETMACHINETV they do get pretty faded over time but I found mine a few months ago on my VS Ute when replacing the carpet
Yes I found my broadcast sheet under the carpet but when I removed the headliner there was part of it seam sealed to the roof guess so it was hanging down so it was able to be easily read .
cant wait to see the dyno for it I luv those UTES you've done a nice job on it Scotty , went together really easy you must be busting for that 1st pass, I would watch 2 hour long vlog
I can’t wait to hear this thing, I also can’t wait to Scotty run an 8
Expert mode spaghettini ⚡️⚡️
Well done mate, thanks for being you.
Yes I was one of them ppl mate. I had good chat with you you such amazing guy face to face.
Thank you
@STREETMACHINETV welcome . You do what you do. Fk the haters
Hassan.. CHOP! every time the coffee was ready to come back out hahah
TGIF is even better thanks to your vids man!! Cheers!
Can't wait for monday. Im already making twin turbo 427 engine noises on idle, revving and the transbrake in my head .
Looking the business finally, can’t wait for the final and see it on the track finally. 👊👍💪👌
Great progress Scotty!
Top Shelf Scotty great behaviour mate, great to see progress 👍 👌
Hi Scotty the Ute looks good, you need Ryobi to give you a battery pop rivet gun , much easier 👍
Going by the tone of some replies, it sounds like you’re getting some criticism for god knows whatever reason. I, for one appreciate watching these with all the nitty-gritty, mistakes and all. I would love to do this exact thing myself but don’t have the shed space or the budget to do so. So thank you for showing the build, warts and all for people like me
Good work Scotty
Big block for life Scottie
Scotty why didn't you go across the road to Harry's or Choices around the corner for underlay would have got it for nothing layers off cuts enough for the ute?? Anywhoose cant wait for Monday 👍🍻
New carpet = new car. Glad to see you cut out the underlay behind the accelerator pedal for MAXIMUM firewall push.
This is gettin SO CLOSE you must be frothin a bit.
It is alive. 🎉
Sweet!
Hey Scotty, one thing I noticed with the turbo oil scavenge setup is that typically there is a small tank that the oil collects in that is then pumped out. The important thing is that the tank has a breather so that the scavenge pump is not pulling a vacuum on the turbo oil drain. Something to check to avoid potential turbo damage.
Adam reckons they've done it both ways. I'll see what he has to say when he sees it in person
Love the ute scotty ❤
So true about the Stanley knife I put one to the bone in my thumb full force 😅
You should do a TH-cam or Facebook poll to see how many of us want to see the odd hour long videos
Maybe, but if you really want an hour long video, I've got one dropping on Scotty's Garage on Monday
If myself i do not hate, always cut towards my mate. Thats what the old man always said 😂
Ondalay, ondalay, Yippah, yippah!
thanks scottie
when you use any knife you just need to remember "cut towards your buddy, not your body". That is don't have any part of you in the path of the knife. Cheers
Monday ey, ahh Scotty I could cuddle ya
Is that the Caprice ute with a blown 427 Scotty?🤩
Scotty THE TAILOR Taylor!
I think this is the same Scotty from ScottysGarage on TH-cam! I'm pretty sure he's the guy I support on Patreon *wink wink nudge nudge*
Thanks mate
Scotty, are you ok? You're not trolling us with the shifter anymore...
Just trying to get this done
Is the trans cooler and its fan at risk of getting covered in dirt and possibly even rubber after a burn out? Can its fan push or pull enough air through the radiator to work effectively enough?
I'm loving Carnage! I'm learning a lot from your videos, enough to make me consider something V8 that is easy enough for my backyard-mechanic behind to wrench on for my next vehicle.
BTW a heat gun helps to (carefully) shape the carpet. I tested it out on an off-cut to get a feel for how much heat will make it melt.
I'm going to look at adding a plate to keep the majority of rubbish off it. I've got it sitting off the side panel so there's room for airflow. But we'll keep an eye on trans temps
👍👍👍
look at that poor vn in the background collecting dust can you hear it screaming PICK ME PICK ME
I know only too well how a Stanley blade knife can cut you . I have a scar in my thumb that 45 years after I cut it keeps opening every winter…
HASSAN CHOPed the Episode in half :-)
Open Saskatchewan Monday 7am!
Moulded aftermarket car carpets are a pain in the arse to get right, easier in warm weather laid out in the sun for half a day to settle, In winter though? Halogen worklights for a few hours...
woohoo
24:51 Did you ask if you could use the good scissors Scotty?
Haha, my wife definitely has good scissors I'm not allowed to touch
Tell me why I will like this Monday haha
Probably needs a supercharger as well😎
Twincharged gets you more fun
Are you going to change brake booster to brake assist like the Lexan?
No need, it fits and works.
Wait a moment; you weren’t wearing kt-26’s (thanks, cameraman, for the close-up). How long has this been going on. Scotty, you’ve changed 😂
They're hard to find now
@@STREETMACHINETV first Holden, and ford, now the Kt’s. What’s next to go!
500 bucks for carpet is abit steep dont wanna be a hater but whats with the second hand starter on the brand new engine looks like your making good progress giving me inspiration time to start hooking into mine
The new starter we bought doesn't fit, so we've got the second-hand one there for the moment
Rule #1 Scotty: wiring comes BEFORE interior - that way if you fuck up and start a fire, the new interior bits don't get burned!
Good tip
@@STREETMACHINETV or just don't fuck up.
I dont understand. Why would you scrape out all the factory seam sealer and sound deadener? The floor wasnt rusty and then you replaced it with the Butyl mat and 10 mm of underlay as well as carpet? Couldnt be for weight reduction. Why Scotty?
So they could weld the cage in, plus this stuff has more consistent coverage
I know this is being built for drag challenge. Will we see it or one of the other carnage cars at Hardass?
Maybe, but Drag Challenge first
Wonder how much money has been spent on it so far
It's certainly been our biggest project yet.
I want to hear your explanation of speedy gonzales???? F#@k I laughed when you said poor old speedy wouldn’t get a run in today’s society
Looney Toons got away with some wild stuff back in the day
Bullshit. Lol
I need more context...
Underlay over the tunnel will help the carpet fit better 🤌🤌🤌
Oh man, I wanna see this thing run. Not that I’m impatient or anything 😆
Monday
Scotty mate, when you talked about the stanley knife, well in 1997, i had to go to hospital for a operation in PERTH ( stump pain nerve pain issues) Anyway a guy worked at a meat processing plant and his knife slipped and he cut his right leg thigh area down to the bone, nasty really, very lucky to be alive, Also a friend of mine was working on a F150 (351) and had to change the carby settings on it, which at the time i was working for WYNNS Australia and he asked me to help him with the carby and i noticed that the steel old radiator fan was all rusty and i said the owner should change it ( he said he would piss in the tank if it would make it run) Anyway my mate was working on it to get it to run properly and sure enough as he was sitting on the inner right hand guard in the F150 one of the fan blades came off and cut his left leg down to the bone and he also was very lucky as a guy from across the road heard his scream and because of his weight being a large bloke he sat on his leg till the amobs turned up, just a couple of stories so easy to forget how quickly things can go bad if your not concentrating on safety at the workplace. 👌👍🦘✌
Yep, every accident is a second away
@@STREETMACHINETV yep spot on mate take care and keep up the great work Scotty.👌👍🦘✌
