The 4th Gen Pilot has 285 HP with a 10 speed transmission Harold engine specs he described sounds like the 3rd Gen Pilot which has 280 HP and a 9 speed transmission
Good video. Thanks. I'm currently trying to decide between these two. Since I tend to keep my cars 20+ years, I'm not interested in hybrid models, CVT models and even the turbo in the GH makes me a bit apprehensive. If Toyota kept the V6 in the Grand Highlander (like they did in the Acura TX), that would probably be my choice. Will be test driving both in the near future and I'm hoping that will help in my decision. Thanks again for the helpful comparison.
seems like Honda keeps with the current trend to add color splashes, preferably red, as a gimmick - I have the GH platinum Hybrid Max and will take it ANYTIME over the Honda. Smoothest ride, quiet. I drive several times a year from Tahoe to Portland and LA. Most relaxing drive with all the amenities. And actually I get 27mpg, and thats with 362 hp.
Toyota turbo...boooo!!! Honda 3.5 V6 😄 toyota subscription services booo! Hate the big grill on the toyota. I've had 2 highlanders both 6 cylinders and now i have a 2024 Pilot a very smooth ride!
@@joelc9329the interior in the pilot is designed to be more rugged and durable. GH interior is trying to be luxurious but instead looks extremely cheap
Thank me later guys... along with the 'sport' driving mode, Pilot also have 'sport' transmission mode (which you can turn ON by pressing the drive button twice) and with both the sports mode active it gets significantly faster with no lag in acceleration and/or transmission whatsoever.... however, on the flip side, Pilot's fuel economy is terrible.. I'm getting 14.3l per 100 KMs (in the city)... something to keep in mind... cheers
Bla bla bla, you need a 32” screen to watch a movie while driving? Bigger the screen means more blind spot, the only time I use the screen is when I’m parking my car and 9” is more than enough
This is so true! I see alot of people complain about the infotainment in general. Unless it was like a screen the size of a old nokia phone then i get it. Hahah@@michael72012
My 2014 was not I’m now in now in the Grand. The Honda is also very dated that V6 engine is very sluggish also. The car feels very heavy unlike the new Toyota, which feels very light and nimble; do a test drive you’ll feel the difference
Two SUV’s I am currently looking and deciding on. Love this is a Manitoba video. Thanks for the product run down.
I appreciate your comparison of these two vehicles. Both seem like a great family hauler. Thanks to you guys for this helpful video.

Which one offers a quieter & smoother ride at highway speeds?

Did you decide? I’m currently going through the same debate
I went to checkout both and I liked the Honda pilot way better.
Toyota has 2.4 turbo and honda has 285 hp for few corrections

I got the gas only, not as fast as yours, but these GHs are incredible!!!!!
Like v6 better.

It’s a nice car but very bland plus the interior is years behind the GH.

Which has more cargo space? The space they mentioned in this video is false.
Yikes, the road noise on the Honda is terrible!!! I LOVE my GH, no regrets!!!
Highlander with 265 hp has no problem going uphill.
Yes. And the torque of this engine is much higher than the V6 in the Honda, which makes the Toyota feel quicker.
I added a pedal commander to my GH and it's soooo much better!
Seems to be a notable difference in road noise from one to the other.

9" screen on the top of the line model is a joke....

@@michael72012 Yes! I play YT, Hulu, Pime Video, and Netflix in my GH for my passengers on road trips! A 9" screen would be sad!
The guy literally uses little in the Honda description lmaoooooo
"About 10 speakers"...is it 9 or 11 or what? LOL!
Honda v6 will be way more reliable

Look like this asian guy i see in the movie spider man
Honda pilot has a 10 speed transmission.
Let's see, V-6 with torque vectoring AWD against a sewing-machine w/o hmmmmmmmm
lol baby Honda.
Pilot looks more cooler, plus its tried and tested v6, it’ll last longer 🫡
