Bentley your knowledge to fix things is already significantly better than 75% of the grown people in the country. Great job young man. You are on your way to a very bright future. Keep up the good work and have fun with the mechanic bug. When that bug bites on to you it stays with you for life and offers amazing adventures of mechanical things. Although I'm guessing it's in your DNA and you were born with a wrench in your hand. You are on the right road with the best mentors at arms reach. Great video and good content for the channel.
VicSwanby. I'd say that Bentley's automotive knowledge and skills are above 95% of adults today. Most adults can't even drive a stick shift, much less know where or what a carburetor is!
"Whatever that hose thingy is!" Your dad has to be so proud. Not only do you have his mechanical skills but also you have a fellers vocabulary down pat! 😂😂
Bentley you will never be a car salesman, your too honest and that is an impeccable trait to have. Your Mom and Dad should be very proud of you! Keep up the great work little man!!!!!!
Bentley, it's so cool seeing how close you and your dad are, and how much fun you have working together. With what you know already and what you'll keep learning, you're going to be the go-to guy for your friends when it comes to their cars.
I watched the revival of this car just two days ago... I absolutely love this car. It's so good to see that the next generation of ''a guy'' appreciates (and knows how to work on) such a vehicle!
Wow Bentley! It is said by many people who keep track of such things that, "it's always the little guy that starts something." Well DUH!!! I know Mom and Dad are proud of you. You should be proud of you. The gearheads across America adore you! Great job buddy, you have elongated the life of a BEAST!
I was you 50 years ago. I used to fix my Dad's '70 Buick Electra. The engine looked just like your '68, but it was the 455. Nice job with the gas line mod. I subscribed and thumbs up'd.
Bentley, your knowledge is amazing, what a great father you have, I love watching you grow up, my favorite channel, thank you Derrick for what you do, PEACE ✌
A few years ago my wife said. you would be the heir apparent to the show. It seems to be happening. You did a very good job with the carb and the video presentation. 👍👍👍
Great job Bentley! Can't wait to watch you build your first drag car! Hope it is a big block Camaro! I know you must have a few around there ... Thanks again for including us on this. You made my day!
You young MAN are an inspiration! Following in your Dad's footsteps will be a very positive move on your behalf! Best of luck, keep up the great work! 💪
Keep going young man your family is setting you up for success, can’t wait to see the man you are going to be, you have an awesome future ahead of you.
It’s awesome to see Bentley wrenching following his old man. We have to teach the young generation this stuff or it will be lost with the Gen Zacs etc. my dad taught me everything he knew about cars and then I blew his mind away with what I learned. And fixed his cars in his old age. I became a L1 technician and it’s fed my family for 25 years.
I was around your age when my dad let me start working on the tractor and cars. I was raised on tobacco road in N.C . ,so we had to fix the equipment that broke in the fields. Great job my little man, your a fast learner!! 😊😊
Little Grip Garage just graduated to Grip Garage! You've come a long way, young dude-hard work, passion, and persistence are paying off. This evolution marks a huge milestone, proving that growth isn't just about getting bigger, but about honing your skills, leveling up, and embracing the journey. Keep the grind alive, and here's to even more success in the future. The road ahead is wide open, so let’s see where those wheels take you next!
Hi Bently and Jessica and Derek nice video 📹 and workmanship replace the rusty spring so it could pull back the idel to make more power rare blue tooth pick thought Lol 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Great job! It’s a blessing to work along side and learn from your Dad. That’s exactly how I learned and soon you’ll be doing your own builds. Keep it up little guy!
Great job Bentley. You're definitely a chip off the old block. It does my heart good to see you and your dad work together. It reminds me of when I was young and helping my dad. Great memories which I'll cherish forever. Keep up the great work! 👍👍 😊
Excellent video. But most people your age that are watching this video don't understand how a carburetor actually works. Have your dad, take one of the hundreds of carburetors he has access to, make a cutaway model and have you show the air route and fuel route through the carburetor. I'm a retired Air Force C-130 mechanic. Not only did I teach the younger airman on just how to remove and replace a component, I showed them the working features of the component, I explained why we are replacing a component. The people watching your videos, are at the age where learning is at its prime. There no such thing as too much information. Great job on the video.
Good Job Partner. What a great way to spend time with your father learning something new and then showing the world. I'm excited to see what you do next!
Great job! I am learning so much. And as a 75 yr old grandma I have no need for the info. But if I had to go back to high school I would absolutely be taking Auto Shop!
Bentley, so glad to see you're bring this old LeSabre [Le-SAY-ber, you said it correctly] back to life, Such a cool example of lat 60's GM luxury and styling. A couple of things, you're right when you called it a "hardtop", the name of the missing pillar in hardtops is known in the design world as the "B" pillar. An easy way to remember it is the pillar for the windshield is the "A" pillar, if there is one between front and back doors that is the "B" pillar and lastly the pillar rear of the back door [even if it's just a 2 door] is called the "C" pillar. Something to keep in mind, the piece you pulled off the old carb and put on the new one to make it reach the fuel line is the fuel filter. A lot of these old GM carbs had the fuel filter built right into the carb, not like the inline/plastic and paper filters you're used to seeing your Dad use. In fact, on some old Carbs, the fuel filter doesn't have paper in it at all, instead it looks like a tiny porous brass puck. Think of it like a big metal LifeSaver candy, that goes in between the fuel line and the carb right at the carb. Great Job, get Mom or Dad to take you for a spin in it! Better yet, let them have you drive it around the farm!
Great video Bentley. You are walking in your dad's footsteps. I'm really glad to see you waring glove and don't forget the eye protection. Looking forward to your next revival.
Great job, Bentley! As much as your dad enjoys your help, I can tell you that if he did not trust you and think you weren't capable he probably wouldn't have you doing it. The fact that he knows you can handle it and have the ability is why he had you do it. Plus, he knew Theodore was there to supervise, lol. Excellent job again, Little Grip. Keep showing the old man a thing or two... he'll get there some day.
i love the fact you changed that carb. Carbs are a dying breed and the knowledge is getting lost maybe one day dad there will show you how to tune one with a vacuum gage that's always fun to learn. and maybe a root beer or five will help sometimes never be scared to cut stuff it can always be fixed. leave the air cleaner off tho the next time that way you can adjust the carb good looking out tho.
I only have one critique to offer. When you say "bring the thunder" you gotta mean it! Bring it from down deep and put all the feelings into it! Great job though seriously!
This was the first revival I watched on VGG and your "Bring the thunder" is what got me turned onto Vice Grip. Great to see the LeSahbray back. Been waiting for it 👍
I know Sasquatch has got to be so proud of this guy. He has so much natural talent and mechanical ability for someone so young. What a great way to grow up and a great dad/teacher/best friend 😎
Those are Nice.. ...longer than a rainy Monday but I can still remember how them old cars smelled inside as my dad drove a 72ish chevy station wagon back in the day. Great Carb swap Bentley 👍.
Bentley, Your videos are so good and a pleasure to watch! Please keep the coming and if you can... give us more as fast if you can do it. We want to see more of what you have learned and can do easily about working on cars. You've come a long way from fixing and restoring go karts and lawn mowers! There are a lot of young men and ladies out there who will see what you can do, learn from what you know and will want to take on the mechanical issues with cars or anything that starts, runs and moves. Great video! I really enjoyed watching you work. Looking forward to the next episode. You could consider naming your channel "Bentley's Vice Grip Garage." You're not little anymore. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
This car needs a full rebuild, interior, trim, rust repair and a nice Silver paint job ! The Buick 350 is truly unique and TA Performance make really nice parts for it also Edelbrock Performer makes a great manifold also and a new custom overdrive transmission w/gears 3.73 to 2.74 in OD would be great with get up when needed and nice OD ratio for the highway travel and maybe a full QA1 Suspension. This rare 68' Buick LeSabre 400 4dr should be Restored to a real "Banker's Hot Rod" again ( ask your Dad about that meaning) and all fixed up it would make a great family car to drive in the next "Hot Rod Power Tour" Bentley. And yes I Love Buicks from the 1950s -1975' the last year of the big LeSabre Conv. Lol, 👍🔧
@@skibbers55 Yes, I loved the episodes that they did on this car, I'm so surprised Derek let it get this beat up ! Nice work Bentley. I still think you should get your dad to teach you how to rebuild these carbs.
