I remember that moment of peace & clarity; the decision to end my life made after years of depression & struggling with being gay. I’ll never forget getting terrified of that moment & crying out to God..if You can hear me…if You don’t do something I’ll be dead this time tomorrow. My bedroom went blinding white & I don’t remember anything after that. Woke up the next day feeling like something happened & I knew it was God. Gave me life to Christ soon afterwards & He personally called me to celibacy & singleness. It’s been over 15 yrs & quite the journey!! God is Good! Plus I’ll admit to having a crush on Ty way back when lol!!
What a blessing and strength Ty is to this fellow alcoholic who has found recovery after following a very dark road to hell along with a diagnosis of bipolar disease that was unknown to me at the time. The grace he was given and his willingness to share his story and hope is an inspiration and shows there is a better life and it's available to all who truly want it. Thank you Ty as you are changing lives as you have definitely impacted mine. God Bless You! One more day...🙏

I feel ya, Ty. Hadn’t heard of you previously and I’m not pop country kinda guy but I understand what you’re going through is extremely relatable. I like to keep my personal stuff close to the chest and intertwine those feelings/memories into melodies and progressions. Btw, I also am ADD (tho they just call both ADHD now) so I also feel you how hard even the things we love can be to do. Hell, I’ll get everything rdy to sit and try and write a song….24-40 hours later ‘till I’ve even strummed the first chord. Keep pushin’, brethren. As Chris Knight said “you can’t kill yourself if you aint got enough rope.”

Maybe those blessings you're talking about are him not dying before he's ready to go the right direction. People that think they can live the lifestyle they do and not live in turmoil and be miserable is beyond comprehension!
