  • I am trying to work out a way of putting my AD246S Andonstar Microscope ( UK - amzn.to/3UmFKtp / USA - amzn.to/3zIMIzi ) - onto a Boom Arm - I had this RODE Boom Arm ( UK - amzn.to/3UK7aZq / USA - amzn.to/3Mqsd1I ) knocking around . With a little help from Taylor and Steve.. It turns out a 3D printed holder is JUST what I need - so, I've got one made... Will it work? Well wait and see!!
    Massive thanks to @STHelton1 and @thedroneguy2024 - Taylor for having the original idea in the video here - • Andonstar AD407 Mic Bo... and Steve for being a 3D printing legend! Please go give them both a subscribe.

    Have you thought about printing another one, but putting the lights in the other way around? So they are facing down.

    I stole this idea from. Yourself but I'd seen a boom arm with a ms mount already attached? After some reflection I decided to go with this 3d print version aswell for the lights for convenience I'm so glad I did. Very clean and practical set up now when space is an issue. I just wanted to say thank you so much for providing us with the print kip it's been very helpful to me. I managed to find someone to print me the piece after getting multiple quotes of over £40 I ended up getting it for £15 and the quality of the print is amazing. Thanks for all your effort on this one mate. Appreciate it. Ps do more fix it videos lol.

    Kip, not sure how long you been wearing glasses, but if like me then you probably got more than 1 spare pair, maybe trying the screws from an old pair of glasses for the circuitboard. or do you think that would be too small, bit hard to tell on the screen. just a thought for added security of the circuitboard.

      I've commented on this video previously but honestly this is a game changer. Especially if you're on a budget because microscopes are very expensive. The microscope was good but I got really frustrated because if you had a board that was gaming console size, like an Xbox one or something the microscope was annoying with just the stand, you'd be unable to get the centre of the board in shot.
      Amazing work from both you, for providing this video and Taylor for the stl file.

    • @kiphakes
      @kiphakes  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello mate - Updated the description and titles with details - this is for the AD246S - there's an older STL file for the older Andonstar Microscopes on Taylor's channel (his link is in the description) which this one was based on.

      @@kiphakesdo you know if there is any existing mods lime this for the AD407, as I'd like to do the same with this one.
      Would free up a lot more workspace and the benefit of doing this mod is that you can work on your electronics whilst you're looking through the camera, whereby you'd have to put a heatproof silicon matt over the standard way of doing things to avoid burning the stand itself.
