Good advice regarding the screws going into plastic. By reusing the original thread cut when the case was originally put together things tend to work a lot longer. Old plastic tend to crack so easily if you force a screw to cut new thread. Another thing to keep mind of is to use the right bit size when you work with Phillips or Pozidriv screws. I have often seen people use a too small bit for these screws. Use the largest bit that will have a positive fit in the screw. Any smaller and you risk it to cam out and can damage the screwhead. So make sure the driver have a real good fit. With a new screw it should fit well enough you can hold the driver horizontally by just holding on to the screw. This is a positive fit and give the minimal risk of camming out when you tighten the screw. Now for screws going into plastic this won't really be a problem, but when screwing into thread in metal it can be important.
Three weeks later and I got served your video, watched the whole thing and subscribed 😊 Will check out some other videos today matey, I love repair tech videos.

Love this video, I am now thinking about buying the screwdriver. I have already got the big screwdriver and it is excellent. That reversing the screw before driving into the plastic is especially important when the plastic is old and brittle.

I love that they stand by their products and make it right with buyers if something goes wrong. Great company all round :)
The small interaction with LTT definitely bumped the algorithm. I understand your frustration with the metrics. You have a portfolio and time in the market, but it clearly takes something like this to get visibility with the sheer numbers of TH-cam. There's a ton of UK makers (I assumed based on accent). James Bruton is one that might mesh well. Hacking things together, fixing things, and whatnot. IMO you are better at presentation, but he makes some really cool stuff.

Randomly recommended, love the review, very interested in the content will have to check out a few more videos. I've held off on buying this and the full size since i already have... So many screwdrivers... I may rethink it though as the extended bits are actually a huge deal for me in the stuff i work on. I have bought a few fixed screwdriver sets because the multibit drivers can't make it down far enough into a lot of electrical/data controls that i work on. (when they're definitely off... Insulated driver's when they're on!)
I'm excited to get mine. I bought the normal screwdriver with precision bits when it launched and it was just too large and heavy for phone repair (part.of my job) so I had been begging for a precision one. My biggest fear was the bits would be too short for a lot of hobby stuff I do like working on GameCube controllers. But in the reveal stream they literally worked on GameCube controllers to show the bits are longer than normal. However I am gonna still recommend people pick up a nanch precision screwdriver kit as they have really long shanks on their bits. I plan on printing a case that will hold both sets of bits and drivers.
The algorithm brought me here but also I definitely did a bit of a double take because you look a bit similar to Chris Broad albeit a much chipper sounding version of him lol.

Just because of the screw reverse before screwing tech tip I like this video. Because I’m interested in where you can take this channel I have subscribed.
I really like the feel of the big driver but havent had a chance to use it. My concern with the bit holder in the big one are the clips breaking of due to them being so snug. According to the video and product photos they use magnets to keep them more in place? I bought the ifixit set (I believe it's the Mako set) and I quite like to use it. What I actually like (vs the ltt version) is the flexible extension. Just for the _possible_ situation. Am a bit torn on the opinion about the hinged ltt-case. I think I prefer the way ifixit does it
I’m curious of the accuracy of the 0.9, 1.3 and 1.5mm hex bits. I have a good set of WERA drivers and the ifixit bits don’t fit the screws I use very well. I find them to be sloppy in the tolerances compared to WERA. I hope these bits are better made.
@@kiphakes I’ll definitely give it a go but I was quite disappointed when I got my iFixIt kit and the 0.9 and 1.3mm didn’t fit the screws as they should. They would have definitely rounded a screw out. Being a fellow Canadian, I’ll always support Linus and can only hope it’s as good as the full size and the stubby. I also had the pleasure of building my own screwdriver at LTX which was cool. There may be 4 or 5 of his drivers in my house. 😂
@TheRealTimShady_ hahah! That’s so cool! Well, I remember on WAN show them saying part of the delay on the precision was that most manufacturers including iFixit don’t have the base of the bits exactly to spec, so they were either too big or too small for the precision which was built to spec.. so I imagine the head ends are probably built to the hex spec for sure
@@kiphakes Sweet! That’s the price of information that just sold it, when the bit sets are back in stock. LTT is pretty particular about quality so I’m stoked. Learned about you through the LTT pipeline and liked this video. Gave a sub and will definitely check you out.
Do these have a lifetime warranty? I recently got a bit replaced by Ifiixit with a decade old 64 piece kit. Zero cost to me, they sorted it out including postage. It cost me more to but than a cheaper kit but lifetime warranty makes it worth it

Randomly fell into your channel. Quirky and funny chap. Subbing for future content !😅
Thanks so much!! I’ve got several playlists you can dive into! 🙌🏻
@@kiphakes oh nice. i love the witty and intellectual commentary and insights on your projects. :)
Glad I found your Channel
I’m glad you found it too
The algorithm brought me here but also I definitely did a bit of a double take because you look a bit similar to Chris Broad albeit a much chipper sounding version of him lol.
Hahah. Had to google him, but I see what you mean!
The first of many of your videos I'll be watching 🙌
Thanks Penguin! Glad you haven’t waddled away! 🙏🏼
as a model train guy i REALLY wanted one of these but when I went to looked nothing was in stock XD
It’s currently oos, but more of them are coming!
Helping the algorithm... But still I watched the whole thing so I am subscribing I only subscribe when a TH-camr holds me through the whole video.
Ahh that’s so kind of you! Pleased to have you!
The magnetic parts tray is mint holy
Subscribed, liked and now commented :D When your video appeared on my youtube feed, your name caught my eye. It sounded familiar, I'm not sure how. Then it hit me, I'm sure I've heard my mate Vince say your name many times on his channel as he gives a shout out to his patreons. Am I right?
You are correct, I am indeed a Patreon and mate of Vince! :) Great to have you along with me! :)
You forgot to mention shipping to the UK costs more than the screwdriver set itself! It's insane
Isn't it $30 to ship and $50 for the set? And then the taxes that should've been included in the price?
@khulhucthulhu9952 I had mine shipped to a mailbox company in the USA that doesn’t have sales taxes on Canadian goods, and they will send it on to me in the UK for a low price. Link is in the video description.

Great Review!
Cheers buddy!
First of all I'll subscribe to your channel because you have been a long time supporter of the legendary My mate Vince, but I'm also looking forward to seeing what your channel is about 🙂
Thank you! Would definitely recommend my Fix it Friday Playlist
Good stuff bro
Just because of the screw reverse before screwing tech tip I like this video. Because I’m interested in where you can take this channel I have subscribed.
Ahhh amazing! Thank you! I’ve got quite the back catalogue of videos! You might like my Fix It Friday playlist!
loved this video!
Thanks so much for watching! Really appreciate it! Hope you like the rest of my content
Meanwhile those of us that bought one on day 1 got an email saying, too bad so sad we're not shipping anymore. Sit down and wait.
I am literally one of those people too! 👌🏼
@@kiphakes Such is life eh? Ah well, soon enough.
I think I prefer the way ifixit does it
I’ve used my large screwdriver a lot, and not felt worried about the clips at all. Seem very solid!
I thought they saied on wan show the screwdrivers are interchangable between the ifixit and LTT bitset
You might be able to force it in, but I didn’t want to do that!
I want a pocket clip for this!!!
I’m pretty certain you’ll be good, and don’t forget the trust me bro guarantee!
@@TheRealTimShady_ much appreciated!
you got a new sub
Thank you! Good to have you here my Dutch friend! :)
Just feeding the algorithm. Which incidentally brought me here 🙂
Hmmm tasty algorithm snacks! Great to have you here !!
the screw the opposite way is exactly what i do to screw on bottle caps
Do these have a lifetime warranty?
I recently got a bit replaced by Ifiixit with a decade old 64 piece kit. Zero cost to me, they sorted it out including postage.
It cost me more to but than a cheaper kit but lifetime warranty makes it worth it
Pretty sure they do.. the LTT Store has the ‘Trust me Bro’ guarantee
13:10 they should fit, he said its a tight squeeze but it should fit🤷♀️
Should have held 7 bits in the handel and 1 in the end of the driver to make it an 8-bit screw driver.
Haha! Love that!!!
My first video watching. Love it and subscribed! Can I just ask… are you a patreon subscriber to StezStixFix? I’m just trying to figure out where I recognise your name from’
Yes I am! And My Mate Vince!
All hail “Al Gore’s Rhythm” or something like that!
Hahah. I say that too! Great to have you here
stfu and produce the drip we need (hahaha sorry jokes but honestly. No need to beg. You're doing great.)
I’ve got the ifixit set but when you mentioned Linus’s had a smooth shaft I did think …..oooooh er misus 😂😂
👀
I thought the ifixit driver has a bits caddy in the cap too?
No?
Idk what i'm doing here but i'm all for it lol
Haha idk either, but great to have you here!
aonodensetsu used algorithm bait x1
