I had a 2010 and now have a 2016 Fit. I love these cars, great mileage, lots of space to carry almost anything, reliable and such fun to drive. Just wish the new Fit was available here in Canada. I'll hang on to my 2016 - it's perfect for me.
I've owned 2008 Honda Fit 5 speed manual. The first got to 280,000 mi before I gave it to a friend who needed it to drive to the Bronx every day. It was already somewhat beat up from being hit a few times. It's actually still out there running with 340,000 miles. I found the identical car used with 90,000 miles and now have 190,000 MI. I'm a big fan of underappreciated Japanese cars and just bought a 1995 Toyota Camry with 72,000 miles on it so that I can give the FIT a little bit of a break on the dailies. Really want to keep that car for as long as I can. I've also got a 1995 Mazda Miata na with 120,000 mi on it also a 5-speed. Three bulletproof cars in one driveway! Love it
I bought an '08 fit sport m/t new. I loved that car from the first test drive and drove it for 10 years with no issues. The Fit, especially for it's time, was absolutely unbeatable in price/practicality/fun to drive.
I've got an 09' Fit I've had for 1yr so far and I've never had a problem and I drive 100+mls day to/from work. It's got 183,000mls on it. So far I've got an HPS intake, Weapon R race header/downpipe, resonator delete, Spoon Sports N1 axle back exhaust, Rota wheels, and just installed a set of BC Racing BR Series Coilovers
i have a 2010 Fit Sport just like yours. I was really hesitant when i was buying it because i thought i wouldn't enjoy it but man i was wrong. My coworkers clowned on me when i first showed up in it but once they rode in it they loved it. Pushing 202,000 miles and running strong!!
I recently purchased a used 2017 Honda Fit LX with 25, 150 miles on the odometer at time of purchase. I purchased it to replace my 2008 Chevrolet Avalanche truck as my 'daily driver', primarily for something more economical to drive. So far I absolutely love it..great fuel economy, fun to drive, it can carry just about anything I want to carry with the rear seats folded down (even two kayaks with the rear hatch open). Plenty of pep too for my driving style. And I have a sentimental reason too for choosing a Honda Fit: my very first brand new car was a 1973 Honda Civic hatchback. The Honda Fit brings me very close to the feel and spirit of the first Honda I had years ago.
100% agree! I just got a GD3 with 190k miles to learn manual. After a few months, and just really appreciating the platform, I decided to start building it as a fun weekend track car. Happy modding!

@@theregoesmiller389 I occasionally go out in just my wife's basic 1.3L CVT Fit. Stock. Eco tyres. And im keeping up with 350Z, 370z etc on twisty roads - but with a quarter of the power. I'm not saying the Fit is good or anything - like I would be faster driving a Z - but the Fit is a car that inspires confidence and its very easy to push hard.
I love my Fit! Honestly, as soon as I got my license, I wanted one. Ended up not being my 1st car, but was my 2nd & 3rd car (3rd being my current) and I love it. My plan is to drive it forever. The one I have is a 2018, which I bought with around 50 miles on it, off the lot. Only recently did I have some work that need to be done, but only because of a storm + neighbors trampoline. Which brings me to my next thing... some parts are VERY hard to come by. Most importantly, the passenger-side mirror WITH the lanewatch camera. Next to impossible to find used, which means paying $500+ for it new.
Oh man, that’s an expensive mirror factory mirror. I’m kinda glad I don’t have that. But man I agree with you 100% they’re excellent little cars! Good luck with yours 🤙
That's incredible MPG. And they still have potential, there is a guy with one done up with Spoon livery ect and it looks sick. They're called Jazz here.
2015 Fit, road trip from CA to MN cost $151 in gas summer of 2019. Great car, even slept in car during road trip with my 2 pups. Still have the car and loving it.
2:35 when they say you could fit a bumper in it they are not lying. I crashed one of these and the bumper fell off, couldn't put it back on the spot so I ripped it off and threw it inside. It can take a bumper and 4 ppl any day, It's a bit cramped but what can you do.
the parts availability is great, even OEM stuff like the door sill trim plates and mudguard and window visors is still available. Just wish the ECU would accept performance gains from the bolt on parts but all it really needs it the rear sway bar and 205/50 tires on 16x7s with offset close to stock, on stock suspension. Perfection
I just got in the grille from the white GD3 in the thumbnail yesterday... Super stoked to install it, but really NOT looking forward to removing the bumper to get the factory grille out.
I bought mine new in March 2014, as you know they did not make a 2014 model. Mine has 235k miles on it. I run a K&N drop in air filter, Mini Cooper 16x7 wheels, drilled and slotted brakes with ceramic pads. Love my Fit
In the UK they are called the Honda Jazz. At this age (2009-2014) they were either 1.2 or 1.4. My 1.4 is 100bhp so lower power than the US models but I'm told there is even less carbon build up on our models. The Jazz also has discs on rear. Otherwise same car and like stated incredibly reliable and cheap to run. It's a fairly high insurance group for a small car but it meets my needs which are naturally aspirated petrol that's cheap to run and reliable.
Best things? Cheap for track days. Cheap tires, brake pads, etc. I can carry 4 sticky tires, floor jack, tool boxes, EZup, chairs, ice chest, 5 Gallon gas can, all inside! 16 years, 240K miles and still love mine!
I buy my fit in 2017 and i have a lot of fun with this gk5 and she give me a really good service and looks great. love almost everything on this honda fit
Loved my GE8...no issues with it over the 8 years and 200k miles I drove it. Eventually got in a wreck and moved on to turbo hatches like the GTI but wished Honda would have released an SI version with the 1.5T so I could come back.
I have a 2010 Sapphire Blue 5 spd M/T fit. Best car I have ever owned. 231k on the clock and going strong. I just literally did the plugs and valve adjustment for the 1st time yesterday. I upgraded the suspension with Swift sport springs all around, Koni Str8t struts and shocks and bumped the tire size width to 215 from the 195 it has stock. Running BR Goodrich Sport Comps 2s, great tire. Only failures were the AC clutch, twice, Right axle snapped( recall came out after I fixed it, figures), clutch disc spring broke (WTF), Stupid AC thermal protection sensor failed, took me 5 years to get around to fixing, Alternator, and Serpentine belt broke after like 180k, lol. Great commuter car, around town car, and stupid amounts of cargo space. I always recommend a Honda Fit to anyone, Always.
I have the older 07 GD3 Manual these little hatches are slept on atm with all the hype the Golden era Honda’s are getting. Time to scoop these up now and likely has seen a bump in price due to fuel prices.
My 13 fit sport is seriously the most reliable car I've ever owned. Got it for $12,900 with only 45k miles. Hanging onto it for as long as i can. Second gen fits also win car of the in Japan btw 🙂
What an amazing and underrated car. I love my GE8. I had to order mine because they didn’t have any manual Fits in California to transfer to my local Honda dealer. If you can find a manual GE8 for sale buy it!!
A good amount of them on the east coast. Just started modding mine. The Be8 doesn't get as mush love as the others. So with a mix of that and parts shortages its been a little hard to find parts to make the ultimate grocery getter.
I have a silver 2018 Honda Fit, and I see Honda Fit cars all over my area, as they seem to be really popular where I live. Mine is a CVT and has good gas mileage with the air conditioning on full blast, but I also have the Econ Button on all the time too. Mine came with the paddle shifters if I want to use them with the "S" mode. I was sorry to see Honda stop making these awesome little Cars at the end of 2020. My next Honda will be a CRV Hybrid, but I am not ready to trade in yet, I only had her 5 years, and only about 13,515 miles on her. She also gets her maintenance via the Honda dealer (a new dealership that is closer to where I live).
Keep it as long as you can! You won’t regret it. I was actually wondering how the fit with the Econ was. We recently picked up a 2011 CRZ with the CVT, and with the Econ button pushed, it feels seriously laggy.
Buddy of mine had his RSX-S stolen in DC, and ended up getting one of these 2nd gen Fits. Loves it. I understand the decision Honda made to stop offering it in the US but I disagree with it. I LOVED the Fit when it first came out and the ads (The Fit is GO!), I almost traded my '98 EJ for it.
They’re advan RG2’s. 17x7.5 +41. The front fits perfectly, but the rear you need to add a 10mm spacer, even on stock wheels it’s 10mm more inset. I don’t currently have the spacers on the rear, but I’ll be getting some extended studs and putting them back on. 🤙
I have a 2010 Fit Sport that I bought brand new with 1 mile on it. It now has 319,000 miles on it. No real issues with it except for recalls and a bad oil pressure sensor now that’s being fixed.
I own a 2007 Honda Fit Sport, I originally purchased it as an automatic new off the lot (auto cuz LA traffic). He has just over 220k miles and I plan to save up in order to throw a K20 in it with a manual transmission once I find another daily. Happy to have come across your channel cuz I am trying to find different sources of information for my future plans to modify my car. Thanks guys.
It is pretty good right, and man you’re right it is technically slow, but I love that it doesn’t necessarily FEEL slow. However, a little k20 swap down the line? Who knows. 🤙
I have had my 09 sport for a few yrs ago. Was gonna sell it but now I may hook it up with some new projector headlights and taillights after seeing some custom fits online. Mine has 107k
So I ran it through kbb for my area, and it said private party should roll in around 10k. I personally think 12 is a bit high, but also, I know the market is pretty high right now.
Vivid racing still shows a few J’s parts in stock, however, it makes sense that they wouldn’t make things forever. However I still have a relatively easy time finding legit parts second hand while searching for them. 🤙
I'd love to have something like an older Fit with the MT for a "fun car" and a Ruckus to be pure Honda, although the recent stuff by Toyota has been turning the sporty small car market upside down. I'd still keep my current daily even if I had a fun manual car since a wagon with an automatic just does driving and hauling stuff so well, I need a full size car with enough room to haul model cars and my pit crew around.
I got a 2002 Jazz GD3, 180k kms on the clock, i must say, the auto cvt trans pretty crap, not responsive in anyway, pretty hard to get a timing gap when you try to get through in the small gap in a roundabout on busy hour, i get it it’s a 20 years old car, and i agreed it’s reliable and cheap to run, i can do 1 litre of petrol for 11-12kms And my one is the with 7 speed with pretty cool aero add on, it starting grow on me, but to fix the transmission i have to spent around $2-$3K which is i think not worth it, might need to get another car 🥲
My entire life I have driven trucks and jeeps and my sports cars were things like Camaros. Other than an atv, I have never owned a Honda of any sort. Last month I bought a 2010 Fit with about 100,000 miles from my neighbor for a $1000.00. It had been sitting for over a year with the passenger side window rolled down. The interior was pretty nasty from mold and mouse droppings and it needed some mechanical work to get it going. They use a stupidly expensive little lawn mower battery. I found the steering to be stiff and twitchy and the ride quality to be poor (this coming from a guy that used a GMC 2500 HD as a daily driver for the last three years). Acceleration was excellent for such a tiny engine. The clear coat has failed and it needs a paint job. But I bought it for cheap transportation as fuel prices continue to climb and I think it will be great for that.
We’ve been pretty lucky, it still has the oem regulators and everything. However. The locks unlocking and locking at certain speeds can be pretty annoying in parking lots lol.
Did the condensers go out? We haven’t had any issues with that yet, but we definitely need to recharge the AC in it, on hot days, it’s really struggling to keep cool. However, I don’t think the AC’s ever been recharged so, for….12 years? I’d say that’s pretty good lol.
i have a 18 fiesta se 5spd hatch as a daily. ( also 2 2zz swapped mr2's ( 86 aw11 + 01 spyder and a 95 5.0. ) i ended up with the fiesta on accident and it has come in handy on more occasions then i can count. i ended up taking the back seats out and have driven across country in this thing plus have driven a few states over to get engines / transmissions etc in this thing. i absolutely ABUSE this car and it still some how gets 30mpg lol ( 45k miles on all the oem stuff ( bought it brand new in 18 with 6 miles on it ). multiple passes at the drag strip lol 16.8 @ 86 mph lol HUNDREDS of clutch dumps.. constant rev limiter countless canyon carving THOUSANDS of heel toe downshifts etc i would have LOVED to have a fit instead but i wanted to make this comment to prove that these lil cars ( fit / fiesta etc ) go un-noticed / un-appreciated ! and are very VERSITILE ! !
@@BalancePointMedia its bone stock on cut springs and a removed exhaust lol its running off the stock manifold ( molded in cat ). prius's are louder then this thing when the exhaust is on lol but even with the cut springs on some cheap ling langs... this thing hands surprisingly well... ! it surprises my friends who try following me in the canyons in faster more well built cars. mainly due to the fact that i have to momentum drive it and i can stay pinned almost through every hairpin etc lol once i get some coilovers on and some decent tires. this thing is def gonna break some hearts out there lol but its my daily and i have 3 other "race-cars" that need the upgrades first... my IG : theregoesmiller

in the southeast wisconsin area it’s the opposite. you’ll see way more fits or newer cars. and the older civics is rare
What wheels are you running on the Fit? Looks like good fitment
I've done sketchy stuff to my gd and the damn thing just keeps going
I have a 2010 Fit Sport that I bought brand new with 1 mile on it. It now has 319,000 miles on it. No real issues with it except for recalls and a bad oil pressure sensor now that’s being fixed.
We got the 08 rs love it
I got an 09 and I love it 😌👌 wanted it since I first saw it and wouldn't ever change it!!!
That’s great! We love our fit too!
im 18 and im buying one and i wanna lower it do all types of mods to it im getting one this week super stoked
You’re going to love it!
That’s awesome man! We’re definitely going to be enjoying doing some fun mods on our fit. We’re thinking about a k20 swap ourselves down the line. 🤙
that thumbnail 🤙🏽 - not an easy chassis to build on but sure is slow car fun
It is pretty good right, and man you’re right it is technically slow, but I love that it doesn’t necessarily FEEL slow. However, a little k20 swap down the line? Who knows. 🤙
I have had my 09 sport for a few yrs ago. Was gonna sell it but now I may hook it up with some new projector headlights and taillights after seeing some custom fits online. Mine has 107k
Yeah! They’re definitely worth keeping and enjoying. Mod it up. 🤙
Right on FIT people. I love mine with 188K miles pon it!! I like those Gold Wheels.
I have 217K on my 2012 sport and still going strong!
You still got it & how many miles? Just bought a 07 sport with 220k miles love it
Hi, Do you guys think that a Fit Sport 2010 with 56,000 mile, for 12k is a good deal? No accident, and no problem reported.
So I ran it through kbb for my area, and it said private party should roll in around 10k. I personally think 12 is a bit high, but also, I know the market is pretty high right now.
I have 195k on my 2008 Honda Fit….It is a great, fun car…..and as Jay Leno says “It is more fun to drive a slow car fact than a fast car slow”
Agreed!
My 09 Honda Fit has a problem with the power steering it only works sometimes. Can anyone help out
1 thing he doesn’t talk about is a lot of companies have stopped making parts for the 1st and 2nd Gen fit. Like aftermarket body kits
Like Js Racing has stopped making parts for the 1st and 2nd gen fit
Vivid racing still shows a few J’s parts in stock, however, it makes sense that they wouldn’t make things forever. However I still have a relatively easy time finding legit parts second hand while searching for them. 🤙
Have a fit sport 5 speed with 159k for 6500, debating on if it's worth it or not.
I already have honda Jazz, do i need to buy another one? haha
The answer is always yes
I have an 08 Fit Sport….. and its Lit.
That’s cause you didn’t fade the fit 😎
WHAT YEAR MODEL IS THE BEST JAZZ OR FIT HONDA IN YOUR BOOKS OPINION CHEERS
How are the cvt in theses
I have a 2012 Fit, it still runs well, Recently I just drove through a heavy almost flood type rain storm and somehow survived lol.
I just got a '11Sport in Sunburst Orange. 74k on it, pretty stoked!!
Awesome that’s a good color!
I had a fit for about 10 years, and replaced it with a civic. The fit actually felt quicker, lack of turbo.
I'm legit sad they stopped the For here in the States. I love that car.
I have had two of these, one of the best cars I have had in forty four years of driving. I will probably never buy anything else.
I got a 2002 Jazz GD3, 180k kms on the clock, i must say, the auto cvt trans pretty crap, not responsive in anyway, pretty hard to get a timing gap when you try to get through in the small gap in a roundabout on busy hour, i get it it’s a 20 years old car, and i agreed it’s reliable and cheap to run, i can do 1 litre of petrol for 11-12kms
And my one is the with 7 speed with pretty cool aero add on, it starting grow on me, but to fix the transmission i have to spent around $2-$3K which is i think not worth it, might need to get another car 🥲
Love my '08 GD3 Sport.. but my Milano Red is definitely fading on my Fit 🤣🤣
How much mpg? You muttered the number….
I need help prettying supping mine up. Help me!
im really thinking about getting one! saving up some money for a white one with a 5speed :)
You should!
The Fit is go! 😎
Great dependable car! Change plugs, and coils...electric windows crap out. Door locks suck. I love it! Rear floor rots out
We’ve been pretty lucky, it still has the oem regulators and everything. However. The locks unlocking and locking at certain speeds can be pretty annoying in parking lots lol.
Don't fade the Fit! Other than the a/c condenser problems they are a perfect car.
Did the condensers go out? We haven’t had any issues with that yet, but we definitely need to recharge the AC in it, on hot days, it’s really struggling to keep cool. However, I don’t think the AC’s ever been recharged so, for….12 years? I’d say that’s pretty good lol.
@@BalancePointMedia They get punctured easily and are $1k to replace. Buy some metal screen from Home Depot, zip tie it in and you are good to go!
i have a 18 fiesta se 5spd hatch as a daily. ( also 2 2zz swapped mr2's ( 86 aw11 + 01 spyder and a 95 5.0. )
i ended up with the fiesta on accident and it has come in handy on more occasions then i can count. i ended up taking the back seats out and have driven across country in this thing plus have driven a few states over to get engines / transmissions etc in this thing.
i absolutely ABUSE this car and it still some how gets 30mpg lol ( 45k miles on all the oem stuff ( bought it brand new in 18 with 6 miles on it ).
multiple passes at the drag strip lol 16.8 @ 86 mph lol
HUNDREDS of clutch dumps..
constant rev limiter
countless canyon carving
THOUSANDS of heel toe downshifts
etc
i would have LOVED to have a fit instead but i wanted to make this comment to prove that these lil cars ( fit / fiesta etc ) go un-noticed / un-appreciated ! and are very VERSITILE ! !
Agreed 100% man! I bet that fiesta is a TON of fun in the canyons!
@@BalancePointMedia its bone stock on cut springs and a removed exhaust lol
its running off the stock manifold ( molded in cat ). prius's are louder then this thing when the exhaust is on lol
but even with the cut springs on some cheap ling langs... this thing hands surprisingly well... !
it surprises my friends who try following me in the canyons in faster more well built cars.
mainly due to the fact that i have to momentum drive it and i can stay pinned almost through every hairpin etc lol
once i get some coilovers on and some decent tires. this thing is def gonna break some hearts out there lol
but its my daily and i have 3 other "race-cars" that need the upgrades first...

gk5 fit life
imma get one
Make it happen! 🤙🤙
Good video👍
GK5 boys
Good video and nice Fit! Mine is a 2011 Sport 5 speed with 185k.. it’s a fun reliable vehicle!
It is exactly that, they’re a ton of fun.
Okay got it … 33 mpg thanks.
I have a Honda Fit, manual had to learn how to drive in this car and well I don’t think I’m ever gonna regret that decision the car is fun turns amazingly and the only thing I would wish was that it went past 100😂
I found the center console with armrest new on e-bay for the Honda Fit for $44. "Rotatable Storage Box Armrest Center Console For Honda Fit Jazz 2009-2013 12 11" Brand: XUKEY.,.
Wow! Found it! Now my life is complete for my 13 fit.
