Yeah this creator doesn’t understand that this is targeted towards toddlers. It would be like criticizing Dr. Seuss for “hop on pop” or “cat in the hat”. Is the same nonsense repetition there - bc it’s targeted for the limited vocabulary of children. Dora is another one that’s this repetitive.
@@00st307-m I strongly disagree. Because there is more to the repetition in Dr. Seuss books. He was very articulate about the rhythm and vocabulary. His books are credited with raising literacy among children. I sincerely doubt Cocomelon is raising literacy among its audience. As for Dora, there are pauses in the show to have its viewers answer back. Cocomelon is just nonstop.
The most terrifying thing about Cocomelon is how toddlers freak out if deprived of it for even a few seconds but the moment they hear the opening jingle they're suddenly in attention like Pavlov's dogs hearing the feeding bell. It looks almost like mass hypnotism.
Savantics actually made a vid a year or so ago analyzing Cocomelon’s effect on children. Basically, it overstimulates kids’ brains to the point where everything else seems slow & boring.
Cocomelon is overstimulating children's brains, basically "hacking children's brains" like Savantics said in her previous video. Watching cocomelon is like a drug for kids - their brains got overstimulated so much by the bright colours and repetitive music that they're ADDICTED to it
When Savantics was reading the lyrics from one of the Cocomelon songs the lyrics sounded braindead and we can only imagine how awful the lyrics must sound in the videos.
it gets worse when the Whiney toned voice starts speaking, it then becomes "dear god kill me now before i have to endure this level of hell for A SECOND LONGER"
And ignoring why people hate it so much and calling them crazy makes you a functional demon bitch(trust me,friends, there’s people like that.if you have been on the internet long enough like I have you know it’s true.)
Ironic how Pewdiepie's diss track on Cocomelon was formerly deleted for "hate speech", but the IP actually rots children's brains. Gen Alpha is doomed, and I cringe each time a Cocomelon toy was placed on store-shelves. I'd rather take Dora the Explorer, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Caillou, Barney, and Peppa Pig over this. Even Teletubbies and Boohbah are less brain-destroying than Cocomelon and Skibidi Toilet content farms.
That is why I watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Barney, and Thomas and Friends when I was a child. Do not forget Go Diego Go which can learn you for preserving wildlife and animal identification. Even our coins and banknotes here in the Philippines have flora and fauna in them.
@@worthybutter2004 Hell, Pingu is cute and hilarious. Worth watching like other HiT properties Mattel abandoned after buying the company, from Kipper to the Rubbadubbers.
the spike in irresponsible parents lately concerns me, seriously, what happened to sitting your child in front of a tv rather than just giving them an IPad?
@@HighLifeProds17I think that’s the joke. That being said, at least tv the parents could have some idea of what was on each channel and often were more involved in what their kids watched
@@HighLifeProds17Wrong. Little kids should be watching Peppa pig and sesame Street and blue's clues, that isn't gonna rot their brain. But you put them in front of an iPad watching Coco melon for countless hours everyday that kid is gonna have serious brain damage.
I remember going to GameStop a few months ago and saw a Cocomelon game on Switch, I was thinking about getting it out of curiosity. My thoughts was "Why would they make a game when their target demographic can't even grip a controller yet?"
Oh no… The iPad kids… They invaded stores and bought products not made for them first, but now they have the opportunity to raid GameStops across America now… I’m legitimately scared. 😨
@@mastermoye3915 We are not alone, and our parents are not alone, either. To give an idea on how fury-inducing Cocomelon and especially its success are, there was a 7th grader who watched Cocomelon on breaks and could not speak properly, instead screaming, running around, and spewing gibberish. Imagine me and my parents entering the Avatar State over that scenario as well as how Cocomelon's success is a Gigantamax headache!
My dad got my baby daughter into watching Cocomelon videos like Wheels on the Bus, mainly because she likes the nursery song itself, and it definitely annoys me that it had to be through that. I'm really hoping she doesn't continue to watch more of later and can encourage her to keep watching other kids programs like Bluey and Miss Rachel.
depending on the age bluey you might wanna watch closely on, mine a few years ago would only immitate Muffins attitude and honestly it wasnt even just that she tried to immitate the bad mood on me when told no on something thinking im just going to throw on a viking helmet and destroy stuff without consequence and the amount of time i hear her say "for real life?" which literally becomes mind numbing for me that and trying to measure time by hand distance. was always immitateing the youngest one on screen it seems like. honestly from what i seen of the newer episodes its more flushed out and not just "random day of non stop fun and games until the sun sets" which by the way disney thank for setting an unrealistic expectations to a child. so yeah i can actually agree on this.
My least favourite thing about that live action show is how freakishly long the limbs of JJ are I mean, there’s no reason he should look like that it just looks horrifying on the level that I cannot describe
@@Ender28Official Congratulations. You posted a comment no one will care about. Seriously, what's so bad about a random person's profile picture that you have to point it out?
@@Ender28Official How mature. I was literally just saying it's pretty much pointless to insult a random person over the internet. Just saying, maybe try to keep thoughts as these to yourself. You have your opinions, everyone else has their own, but there's really no need to insult someone over something as stupid as a profile picture, of all things. I'd understand if it was an actually offensive, or something that really isn't made for potential people to see, but this? There's literally nothing wrong with it, as far as I know-
It’s no wonder a lot of Gen alpha kids are struggling with creativity & focus when they’re watching cheap garbage like cocomelon. It’s really sad. Hopefully Bluey is counteracting some of it.
@@chriscortez2036 Yeah, and there are also classics like the OG Thomas the Tank Engine, which is also for general audiences. After all, Cocomelon is wack! The North Western Railway's where it's at!
I gotten my3 year old sister to stop watching Cocomelon and now she has switched to My Little Pony!!! It's her favorite show now and always wants to play it
Alright, now introduce her to Strawberry Shortcake, the newest one might be easier for her to watch and for you to find. Some older ones my parents introduced to me were Rainbow Brite, 80s Care Bears, old animated Winx Club, Dragon Tales, Between The Lions, Blue's Clues (the original, but I've heard the reboot is good), Bob The Builder, and Teddy Ruxspin. Almost all of these shows should be easy to find on TH-cam and enjoyable for both your sister and you to watch.
@@NewSonyWonderHappyMadisonFan Oh really? My memory is fuzzy lol. Makes sense though since my mom largely introduced me to shows she enjoyed growing up, she was born 1982 (I was born in 2001 fyi).
@@peggedyourdad9560 I remember watching a lot of those shows as a kid. Ended up getting a hyperfixation on Strawberry Shortcake more recently and started a concept for my own SS reboot.
This reminds me of a series Behind The Bastards did called “A.I. is coming for your kids”. It’s about how people are using “A.I.” to quickly churn out kids books to sell on Amazon, but because they’re using “A.I.” they’re horribly written, uneducational nonsense. All the writing in the book is just like the lyrics you showed where it’s just a bunch of random words that the program writes up because they are related to the prompt the user gives it, but have no substance or meaning when you read it. They talk about how parents can buy these books in lieu of books that will help the kids development.
Cocomelon is basically if AI had a kids song channel, it's just a bunch of words regurgitated together into a kids song Can't believe I never thought of that
One thing we can all agree on, whether you grew up in the 90s with Blue's Clues or currently watching Bluey, kids show about a blue puppy is the way to go.
When my little sister made it out of her toddler years, i thought we were finally rid of Cocomelon. Then came the shows on Netflix, then came the toys. And now we have arrived at stage shows, Spotify songs, and "personalized messages". Why can't this thing die already? Why can't kids watch stuff like Little Einsteins or SuperWhy, or play Leapfrog? You know, things that DON'T make you feel like your brain is being vaporized?
man I feel you I used to love those shows and if or when I have kids COCOMELON WILL BE BANNED and if anyone even tried to turn it on there will be a human sacrifice and I will show them you know bluey and all the shows you mentioned
@@sammyb9683 Ban? Yes. Human sacrifice? No. I'd rather tell whomever turned it on why I do not allow it to be watched in the house and that it is house rules. Then provide them with alternatives that are better for a developing child's brain. If it's a fellow parent who can't comply, they need to leave the house.
I would say 10-13, as someone who was introduced to the internet at 9 years old and there were some disturbing content that I shouldn’t have been watching at the time looking back
@@starstorm1267 Same, and if I could saw a child watching these types of content that I don't appreciate it, I would probably tell them to stay away from, so-called radioactive side of the internet.
@@Ilikeshake 9 year olds’ brains are still so incredibly underdeveloped they need to shielded from the dangers of the internet until they are old enough. 14 is old enough to not be totally brain rotted. 9 is way too young
One of my friends let their kid watch cocomelon and every time I see them they tell me they regret it. That she’ll have a huge tantrum if cocomelon isn’t constantly on.
@@Thatonegirl989 so a toddler I had to babysit for a while would watch cocomelon. He also threw tantrums when I put anything else on. My go to method was to A. absolutely not switch back to cocomelon. B. If he wanted me to gently rub his back I did as he cried. If he didnt I would just stand close by. C. If he was reaaaally insistent. I would jangle his colourful toy keys to distract him After three days of rinse and repeat he didnt throw tantrums if I didnt put cocomelon on anymore he also started to explore the house and do more normal toddler stuff. Which was frankly, a relief.
My nephew grew up the past couple years watching this...mainly because his parents (my sister mainly) put it on so he would be entertained for a short time. This led into a ton of terrible habits he still has at almost four years old, while he doesn't watch Cococrap anymore he watches other cheap garbage on his tablet all the time that would make my 22 year old mind numb. He also owned a lot of merch too which was indeed terrifying when I went over to my sisters. I do blame my sister for letting him watch it and her lack of parenting skills, but the people behind Cocomelon also need to be kicked to the curb for damaging a whole generation of children with cheap plastic garbage they call entertainment.
reminds me of when my kid decided to copy EVERYTHING on bluey thinking that the world works to where its play time all the time and one of the episodes "bad Mood" was an episode she tried copying while we were in the store and i told her no on lunchables as she got sick off one not too long ago so she then tries to stand on my feet and mimic the bad mood episode. its amazing that shows try to appeal to kids except for consequences and when they do anything where theres a bad behaviour moment the kids will usually mimic the bad behavior of which it got to the point where i told her she aint watching it til she straightens up. My father caught on to this when she asked for asparagus and it was only when it was happening on bluey so i told her "remember you want it to eat it not pretend its a magic wand" hoenstly i cant say ive experienced anything from this as most of the time she would just listen to it just for the song.
@@SHADOMEGA7569 that's so dishearetening. I literally didn't even SEE bad behavior modeled on TV except the occasional "very special episode" of family sitcoms. how wild that they don't realize the inevitable results of mirroring horrific behavior to tiny children.
Mickeys Clubhouse was also great. My favourite episode is still that where Donald got his clubhouse. Sadly it didn't got an Oswald episode cause it was before Disney got the rights back for Oswald
I got a Cocomelon story……. My darling little nephew was played Cocomelon videos because that’s what his parents put up for him. He seemed to enjoy it, but my mom and I were kinda freaked out by the character design (she also said it was ugly as well, and I completely agree with her) So we started putting Little Einsteins on the tv, and he really enjoyed it! To the point where he was ignoring and/or bored of Cocomelon. I guess you could say that my mom and I deprogrammed the little guy 😌 Edit: I forgot to add that the next time my nephew was shown a Cocomelon video.... he freaked out. He wouldn't stop until we played something else
We need shows that do peak kids interests but not rot their brains, Kids may not have high standards like adults do but they do need at least some decent stuff, like Thomas or Fireman Sam (orginal) I understand that some people wil say that kids can get upset if stuff like Paw Patrol is taken away from them but at least the children don't physically hurt themselves in their tantrums like with overestimulating Cocomelon
@@jacobjcb8883 agreed. I actually made an entire twitter thread on this type of overstimulating junk. Not to mention channels like lankybox which are also preditory towards kids.
@@jacobjcb8883ah yes they shouldn't watch the new stuff they should watch your nostalgia because your nostalgia is what makes a show good to everyone clearly
I remember randomly stumbling across cocomellon lane while looking for something to watch on Netflix and my curiosity got the better of me. Couldn’t even get past episode one. That fire truck song hurt my brain!
"Never let your kids do something that makes you dislike them" is what I live by as a parent. PBS was all I had as a kid, and that's the minimum standard I will accept once my baby is 2 and old enough for screen time. I plan to firmly tell him that things like Cocomelon are beneath him, and that he deserves better, because all children do.
should get him to watch Pappyland and Out of the Box, those two shows kept the neurons firing in my hyperactive little toddler brain like no one's business because they actually had activities presented in their runtime. I feel like a lot of media we grew up with had participation elements, idk what happened to that.
PBS Kid shows are truly amazing. Almost all the shows from 1968 til now are at least 8/10 stars (except for shows like Caillou or Teletubbies, but any network that's over half a century old is going to a few sour ones here and there).
Throughout my childhood, I watched PhoneDog unboxing videos, and NewAgeServerAlarm's fire alarm videos, and they aren't nearly as overstimulating and brain-dead as Cocomelon. The fact that I mentioned a FIRE ALARM channel on TH-cam here should speak volumes. At least with NewAgeServerAlarm and PhoneDog, I actually LEARNED about phones and fire alarms and got stimulated by hearing the alarms go off and the seeing the strobes flash and learned all about the latest phones. Truly, the stuff I watched as a toddler was FAR more educational than Cocomelon.
This is why I'm glad I grew up around shows like SpongeBob, Fairly Odd Parents, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Mickey and the Roadster Racers, Paw Patrol, etc, cuz at least I knew that *THOSE* shows were safe enough for kids to watch, in fact, if it wasn't for those shows, I wouldn't have found out about games like Sonic, Mario, Zelda, Spyro, Crash, FNAF, Bendy, Hello Neighbor, Baldi, Poppy Playtime, etc, otherwise, I really would've been stuck watching this crap, granted, it probably wouldn't have happened anyways, considering I was born in 2004
I grew up with Thomas the Tank Engine and I loved watching it over and over again on dvd. I even learned some of the big words that they used in the classic seasons like the "disgraceful! disgusting! despicable!" quote. However, my favorite part was the crashes. I don't know why Mattel doesn't allow them to use those big words anymore as well as remaster the classic seasons in HD.
Yeah As fascinated as I was with the little blue engine, as I watched, I actually picked up on how railways work and that's what got me into railways today
They say “yes yes vegetables” and there are beans, which are actually leguminous plants, and are not vegetables at all, which means they are teaching children the wrong things.
I'm glad I grew up with Teletubbies, which my parents already basically labeled _brain rot._ But compared to Cocomelon, Teletubbies is straight up Discoveery Channel/BBC/PBS tier of scientific documentary.
Ahhh so I get it now it's just the generational hate train they thought that was brain rot now you think this is brain rot do you not see the slightest chance that maybe just maybe you're just following in your parents footsteps to hate on what the new generation likes? But no because you didn't grow up with something it's bad yeah I get it
I, as an adult, already feel trapped in a cycle of mindless, brief entertainment with little to no growth value. I can't imagine having my formative years plagued with it. These kids ain't right. It's both interesting from a psycholigical point of view, and terrifying from a general one to think of how these kids will be as adults. It's been unfortunately well-documented how missing out on vital education during the toddler-young child stage can negatively impact a person for life. Kids need to learn how to think about the world and predict certain events, know when not to emulate something, dissect language and complex sentences, and they need to develop appropriate social skills. How can we expect them to do that when they're glued to a tablet listening to "Yeah, yeah, yeah, I like it, oooh"? The fact that it's on Cartoon Network is a sign of dark, dark times.
Here's a little story for you, When I was a young child, I watched stuff that actually educated me in some way, I learned quite a few complex words like "Dignified" and "Deputation" because of Thomas the Tank Engine,
@@sersiniokyte5558 I'm saying that Thomas taught me complex words and also taught me how things like railway detonators work, it's the reason I'm into the railway industry today Cocomelon on the other hand, I can't see teaching any child too much, other kids media such as the original Thomas and Bluey are better at being educational that this tripe
@jorgemoreno5585 It did... it really did. If you didn't know, "Cartoon Nito" is about a year old now, and it's basically the weekdaily Nick Jr. time block for CN. However, unlike Nick, none of the original lineup of shows on Cartoon Nito were actually made by the company. They simply bought the rights. Somewhat recently, they added a show they actually made, but that show isn't airing new episodes anymore. Point is, yes, Cocomelon is on Cartoon Network, and it airs almost daily.
I’m glad I grew up with shows like the original Thomas the Tank Engine, Sesame Street and Bob the Builder. It’s sad to see the sort of stuff kids are exposed to these days.
Anytime I see Cocomelon merchandise, there's a trigger in my brain that's pulled and I become aware of the fragility of the human race. Will we fall to AJ? Or have we already fallen--blissfully unaware of his true power? The answer is "yes yes yes"
I was a 2000's kid so I came in right at the end of Mr. Rogers neighborhood and my parents would put on PBS kids and Mr. Rogers neighborhood would be on and I loved it and I think it helped me grow and develop better than anything ever could. The world needs another Mr. Rogers, someone who teaches kindness and always makes something that can relate to any child. He never did it for money either. He did it because he loved and cared for every child.
You were actually the one to introduce me to cocomelon whenever you made your first video when it came out. I wasn't expecting a sequel but I'm all here for it
I don't think I'll have children, but if I ever did, I would ban them from watching cocomelon. There are so many other shows for a young child to watch that's better formulated.
this is real proof of the downfall of preschool/children's TV, not that long ago, we had shows like: Backyardigans, Thomas & Friends, Balamory, Fireman Sam etc. But now most of those shows are either gone or heavily watered down. But I guarantee 20 years in the future people will still talk fondly about those aforementioned shows as they had real effort and passion put into them, Cocomelon will simply fade away as a soulless piece of corporate mush.
Haven’t you seen the books that are being written for kids nowadays? They’re awesome! For every kid that watches Cocomelon there’s another kid who’s hooked on reading Dog Man and Raina Telgemiar among all the cool picture books that are out there. Please don’t give up hope. ❤
I'm feeling grateful that I was grown up on the VHS and TV era on the 90s & 2000s. Life in the 90s& 00s is just simple. No internet. No child exploitation nonsense. Just a bunch of lovable childhood cartoons & TV shows like Japanese NHK's Pythagora Switch, Hotch Potch Station, Gurugurutown Hanamarukun, Shimajiro anime, Wangan Midnight, Initial D, Tamagotchi anime, Kaiketsu Zorori, Kamen Rider Ryuki , Kamen Rider Faiz, Gransazer, Mickey Mouse/ Donald Duck, Bubu Cha Cha anime, Bananas in Pajamas, Big Bear in the Big Blue House, Tom and Jerry, Madeline, Stanley, PB&J Otter, Rolie Polie Olie, Earthworm Jim, Teletubbies and most importantly Art Attack (a British kids show where I learn basic art and craft, now I'm working on illustration and comics). So glad I'm enjoying this at my young age because Cocomelon, Skibidi Toilet and Elsagate doesn't exist in the 90s. Now I'm 28 and I'm still love 90s & 00s cartoons & TV shows. As AVGN wise word said "this will bring you back to the past".
I work at a kids gym where we host kids birthday parties and everytime I work a birthday with a cocomelon theme I just feel… sad. Like these poor kids are gonna grow up and feel nostalgia for this absolute brain rot 😭and also I feel bad for myself because I have to listen to cocomelon music for an hour during the party
I’m really sorry you had to experience that, especially the bit where you had to read an excerpt from one of their annoying songs. You’re a great person.
I work at a department store, so items are usually random. During the holidays we got A TON of these Cocomelon bus alphabet toys shipped to us. There were so many that we eventually had to fill up an entire table with just these damn buses, and somehow all of them eventually were bought up. I swear a piece of my soul disintegrated every time I had to put up another one of those bus toys on the shelves...
And to think, my favourite cartoon growing up was The Cat Concerto episode of Tom and Jerry, the one where Jerry is in the piano while Tom plays goddamn Hungarian Rhapsody lol.
And that's without mentioning that it literally _melts their brains_ with how fast paced the "animations" tend to be. I literally saw a video not too long ago that said it worked like _drugs_ on their underdeveloped brains (aka alarming addiction)
As someone who couldn't stand nursery rhymes, I can safely say that this video made my day because I can totally agree on her with how atrocious the lyrics are written. I hope apps like TH-cam Kids will give an option to restrict cocomelon vids or other low quality shit and switch to better content
I am so grateful I had the original thomas the tank engine growing up Where actual effort was put into it real model trains were used and had narrators that told the stories and provided the voices for the characters One of the narrators was ringo starr the guy from the beatles And the soundtrack all I can say about it is amazing no childrens show will ever have music anywhere close to the level of the original thomas Hell I still watch it to this day and it holds up all these years later
Why is it that kid channels like Cocomelon blow up in popularity, and not ones like Badanamu? At least that one is well animated, and the characters, especially the titular one, are cute as hell.
Schoolhouse Rock was way before my time, but my parents would check out the videos from the library for me to watch and I loved them! Also the music slaps
Money. This brainrot trash is addictive to young brains. More views and clicks = more money. And of course the kids become obsessed with everything cocomelon, leading to them begging their parents to buy cocomelon merch, meaning more money. I'm glad Cocomelon was never part of my childhood and it can bite Bender's shiny metal ass like Teen Titans Go! (which was unfortunately part of my childhood) for all I care.
I'm so glad that Bluey had taken off in popularity, because kids deserve so much better than Cocomelon. Also glad I grew up with PBS Kids. So many shows on that channel defined my childhood.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the baby shark bath toy that was heavy, sharp and propelled forward rapidly . It literally caused injuries , it's nuts
I was eating dinner out the other day, and the minuet one of the kids stopped watching coco melon they just threw a fit, it made me realize how glad I am I wasint an ipad kid and I wasint around when ipads were mainstream
So I looked it up and found that the original creators sold the franchise years ago, which is great because I wanted to make fun of Cocomelon for so long, but I never held any ill will to the couple that created it in the first place. It makes sense why it looked so cheap before, but now...well, now it looks cheap because _m o n e y._
I think one of the main reasons cocomelon is so popular is precisely because of how boring and inoffensive it is. It's like the children's video equivalent of plain, overcooked rice. Mostly harmless, but also completely lacking depth, flavor, or any real nutrition. And if you think that there's no way parents can't get offended over other kids TV- I recently had a granny tell me she didnt want her grandkids watching Bluey, because the character sometimes said "what the-?". Yes. She was offended because the characters were implying that they were SURPRISED.
Considering people all over the political spectrum, varied levels of education, and varied levels of understanding in regards to society and human mind consider that content bad for children, it is probably true.
I can't be the only one who remembers Cocomellon being "abc tv". My sister is early gen Alpha and i remember my older cousins and i putting it on for her. It honestly looked so much more gentle and educational then. Im grateful my sister grew out of it before coco mellon became what it is.

I convinced two parents to stop letting their son watch Cocomelon and instead watch Sesame Street. They obliged and their kid enjoyed Sesame Street more than Cocomelon.
Well done on that suggestion! Even though today's Sesame Street is not what is used to be, what with how different the half-hour format is, I agree with how much of a better choice PBS Kids is compared to Cocomelon and TH-cam Kids...
i don't think it's fair to blame kids for being ipad kids, i think we should look towards the parents who rather than raise their children would have youtube do it ins
If you want to show your children a cartoon about babies, show them Rugrats, it’s a thousand times more entertaining and more educational than Cocomelon will ever be
Last year, I went to Arizona with my aunt to babysit her grandchildren. This show was on all day. It drove me up the freaking wall. I wouldn’t wish this show on my worst enemy.
I used to work at a daycare where we would show the kids CoComelon videos to calm them down. I remember there was one day when I was dealing with rowdy kids so I played a CoComelon video for them on my phone but my manager told me to turn it off but she literally never told that to anyone else. That’s probably my main grievance against that “show.” Anyways, I think I also recognized the vegetable song from that time. I don’t know why they made JJ say that he wanted to eat his vegetables cuz kids literally refuse that. Do they even have touch with reality? I sure hope gen alpha can learn to read and start watching quality shows
What's even worse, is that Cartoonito, Warner Bros. equivalent of Nick Jr. and Disney Junior, somehow got the rights to air Cocomelon, so now there's Cocomelon on cable TV as well.
To take Cocomelon and its success down to zero, let our powers combine! The fact that Cocomelon wound up on cable TV, combined with forceful bundling in the United States where I live, is why my parents and I will not get cable. I have an older sister who is married, and she and her husband have four children. My parents and I are proud of my sister and her husband for banning Cocomelon.
My country is also doomed. The British Broadcasting Corporation literally said it wasn't dangerous, yeah, that's all of what's on CBeebies EXCEPT CoComelon, and CBeebies is airing Bluey, so idk what's happening anymore. Could just be my autism :/

I help to take care of some preschoolers at an after school program and in the last hour, we watch part of a movie/show and finish up the rest the next day. I’ve taken suggestions from the kids on what to watch here and there and I’m so grateful none of them are into Cocomelon. In fact, they’re all more into Bluey and Paw Patrol! If the cocomelon baby was in ice age it would be a much shorter movie because they'd just leave it

they both look so punchable but the cocomelon baby is so much more punchable
Least that baby was actually cared for by the animals and watched over properly. Wonder how that baby is doing now

Sometimes I seriously wonder how different I’d be if I grew up on Cocomelon instead of actual TV
I think the biggest difference would be the lack of communication with parents at a young age?

You don’t have to wonder, just look at kids nowadays.
in the olden days we had to sing our own damn songs, walk a mile to skool, and milk cows . get off mai lawn.
I thing the difference would be if your alive or not
I sincerely hope the kids who watch Cocomelon grow out of it and are given access to better things like literally anything on PBS Kids.
@@00st307-m ...huh?
@@00st307-m I strongly disagree. Because there is more to the repetition in Dr. Seuss books. He was very articulate about the rhythm and vocabulary. His books are credited with raising literacy among children. I sincerely doubt Cocomelon is raising literacy among its audience.
As for Dora, there are pauses in the show to have its viewers answer back. Cocomelon is just nonstop.

Not to mention the shot composition, which was gone over in Savantics' previous video about Cocomelon.
@@00st307-m Nah Dr. Seuss (or maybe even Dora depending on someone's feelings towards the show) isn't brainrot.
The most terrifying thing about Cocomelon is how toddlers freak out if deprived of it for even a few seconds but the moment they hear the opening jingle they're suddenly in attention like Pavlov's dogs hearing the feeding bell. It looks almost like mass hypnotism.
That's the idea. It's a way to keep them silent for a time so the parents can get a break.
@@vylbird8014 that's terrifying, the implications aren't good for self regulation.
Savantics actually made a vid a year or so ago analyzing Cocomelon’s effect on children. Basically, it overstimulates kids’ brains to the point where everything else seems slow & boring.
bc the whole overstimulation thing, another video talks about this
Cocomelon is overstimulating children's brains, basically "hacking children's brains" like Savantics said in her previous video.

They literally promoted ai in the first minute. They're a hypocrite.

Wow man, that is sad 😢
As an older gen alpha, I’m glad I grew up on PBS Kids instead of this…
Y’all are probably Gen ZAlphas (Gen Z/Gen Alpha CUSP).
I grew up with Sonic Boom and SpongeBob and PBS Kids and Nickelodeon instead of Coco Melon
yep @@DaACTUALLYREALReddie
I swear if I have to hear the cocomelon intro again I'm gonna coco crack an ipad screen
I'm going to coco smoke crack
I’m really sorry you had to experience that, especially the bit where you had to read an excerpt from one of their annoying songs. You’re a great person.
I work at a department store, so items are usually random. During the holidays we got A TON of these Cocomelon bus alphabet toys shipped to us. There were so many that we eventually had to fill up an entire table with just these damn buses, and somehow all of them eventually were bought up. I swear a piece of my soul disintegrated every time I had to put up another one of those bus toys on the shelves...
Apparently Cocomelon was made by some parents with the intention of educating their kids but later it grew into a family business empire
I'm willing to bet that the original parents don't have much to do with it anymore.
Im starting to compare cocomelon to Disneys giving disneys current reputation
And to think, my favourite cartoon growing up was The Cat Concerto episode of Tom and Jerry, the one where Jerry is in the piano while Tom plays goddamn Hungarian Rhapsody lol.
That's nowhere near as bad as Coco melon, cocomelon music is trash, Hungarian rhapsody is a masterpiece
5:11 He realised what he did to the attention spans every toddler with access to the internet
Cocomelon is literally banned in my house. I'm so thankful my 7 month old chooses to watch Bluey!
They don't deserve this success bro
They really do not deserve not even a grain of it all their getting is brainrot in exchange for their profits
Parents. Give your little kids a preschool show that's way better than CoComelon.
Does Canticos count? That’s what my younger cousin watches
I've heard great things about Bluey
@@Wildcatt1999 from what I heard, Bluey is great for both kids and parents
I grew up on Cyberchase and Between the Lions. If you can find them, use them to entertain your toddlers.
Shows Like "BabyBus" Or "The Loud House" Honestly Don't Work.... Oh, I Forgot: There's Spongebob 😂
Without Cocomelon, society is on peace
Found ya
@@NickLogoAbk2913 found you too
This is why I’m glad I grew up with PBS, Disney Jr and Nick Jr
I feel glad too
I am so grateful I had the original thomas the tank engine growing up
Where actual effort was put into it real model trains were used and had narrators that told the stories and provided the voices for the characters
One of the narrators was ringo starr the guy from the beatles
And the soundtrack all I can say about it is amazing no childrens show will ever have music anywhere close to the level of the original thomas
Hell I still watch it to this day and it holds up all these years later
Why is it that kid channels like Cocomelon blow up in popularity, and not ones like Badanamu? At least that one is well animated, and the characters, especially the titular one, are cute as hell.
When the review or whatever said “beautiful animation” I immediately thought of the sheep bouncing off the cow and clipping through a solid bush
Wait. A 33-minute bath song? THIRTY-THREE MINUTES?!
What? How? WHY IN THE HELL WOULD ANYONE MAKE THAT?????!!!! Cocomelon is DAMN weird!
When I was a kid, I dunno how long bath time was but it was pretty long. Could have ended up taking that long.
And even worse, it has over 1.6 billion views... Good lord
It just has a bunch of other brainrotting songs in the video. The bath song is probably only 2-3 minutes in length.
Wait until she finds out what's skibidi toilet.
Oh yeah, it's going down for good!
Also JJ is a skinwalker.
Hey, give Skibidi Toilet some slack. Its more supposed to be a meme series and content farms are trying to profit off of its popularity.
@@ChrisKunixidk about that one buddy
“Kids” content:
@@ChrisKunixalso the animation itself is better quality than cocomelon and has cool models of camera guys
@@Selerowiakwell i mean… the assets ARE from another game, and the animation is as fast as Cocomelon moving the camera in the older videos.
How tf did we as a society go from School House Rock to this!? 😭
Corporations couldn’t care less about a toddler’s well being as long as they make as much money as possible.
“Conjunction what’s your function”
Absolutely love the serious “oooh” at 9:48
I'm so glad I grew up on Moshi Monsters, early Cartoon Network, and Nick Jr, and not Cocomelon
Good thing I grew up on Disney Channel/Junior/Playhouse/XD (e.g. Phineas & Ferb, Milo Murphy's Law, Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yonder, Star vs. The Forces of Evil, Kim Possible, Ducktales 2017, Star Wars Rebels, Handy Manny, Pucca, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Jake and The Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins, Rolie Polie Olie, PB&J Otter, Higglytown Heroes, Jojo's Circus, Special Agent Oso, Sofia the First, Elena of Avalor, Henry Hugglemonster, PJ Masks, Lion Guard, Miles from Tomorrowland, Shaun the Sheep, Totally Spies, and Ultimate Spider-Man); Cartoon Network (e.g. Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, The Powerpuff Girls (original), Ed, Edd n Eddy, Billy and Mandy, the original Teen Titans, Chowder, Dexter's Laboratory, Adventure Time, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe, Ninjago, DreamWorks Dragons, Total Drama, Grojband, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars); and Nickelodeon/Nick Jr./Nicktoons (e.g. SpongeBob SquarePants, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Penguins of Madagascar, Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go, Blue's Clues, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Wow Wow Wubbzy, The Backyardigans, Yo Gabba Gabba, The Upside Down Show, Team Umizoomi, Olivia, and Pocoyo). I'm glad Cocomelon was never part of my childhood and it can bite Bender's shiny metal ass like Teen Titans Go! (which was unfortunately part of my childhood) for all I care.

JJ is basically the next Caillou. He is a godawful brat.
I see, it's one of those instances where a content creator actually sells their channel to a corporation.
When I first saw Cocomelon I thought it was Billion Surprise Toys.
They are nearly the same.
The worst thing about CoComelon for me is that they use COMIC SANS for the lyrics.
I swear Cocomelon is proving to be worse than Teletubbies, Boobah, and Baby Einsteins altogether.
Little Einsteins had well-defined plots in its episodes.
@@Keznen *Little* Einsteins did, but *Baby* Einsteins is very different.
@@beccacroce7380 Ah, didn't know there was one called Baby Einsteins.
@@Keznen It's almost as brain-stimulating as Cocomelon. I just don't know if it's more or less.
Hey do not insult teletubbies
You thought cocomelon was bad (which it is) wait until you hear about LANKYBOX💀
NOT LANKYBOX!! ANYTHING BUT LANKYBOX! 😨😭
...do I want to know?

@@yourface2464Oh god looks like someone is going to lose the last of their braincells finding out about this

I think one of the main reasons cocomelon is so popular is precisely because of how boring and inoffensive it is. It's like the children's video equivalent of plain, overcooked rice. Mostly harmless, but also completely lacking depth, flavor, or any real nutrition.
And if you think that there's no way parents can't get offended over other kids TV-
I recently had a granny tell me she didnt want her grandkids watching Bluey, because the character sometimes said "what the-?".
Yes. She was offended because the characters were implying that they were SURPRISED.
"harmless" HECK NO this stuff has been shown to negatively affect children.
I have two very little daughters. I may not always like the shows my oldest watches over and over again....but at least it isn't Cocomelon.
To think a parent let their kids watch cocomelon 100 times a day is terrifying 😭😭😭
Thank god I grew up watching good quality, than cocomelon.
Things like Cocomelon kind of make me glad my favorite things to watch when I grew up were Peppa Pig and CookieSwirlC :')
What anime character is that pfp
Nick jr was the best stuff to watch growing up
@@ChristopherPortorreal-ol2mj the character in my pfp is Emu Otori, she’s not from an anime, but a mobile game called “Hatsune Miku Colorful Stage“. And yeah, I was a nickjr baby when I was little.
@@MysticTheFloofBall I didn't have interest in yo Gabba Gabba but team Umizoomi backyardigans fresh beat band rusty rivets were good ones. I didn't really like no hao kai lan because it didn't show kids how to talk Chinese but only say names of the characters in Chinese. Other Nick jr bangers like paw patrol and wallykazam were good(except little charmers it looks like monster high goth girls drawing in POP figures
I really find your channel, very interesting and entertaining, and it’s one of my favourite channels
As a 2000s baby I feel bad for current generation, they barely get good content for kids. It’s just brainrot.
me too babe
In Poland there is a channel on which Cocomelon appears, the advantage is that it is not available on all cable channels, the disadvantage is that I have it (Although there is also "Inspektor Gadżet", "Łebski Hary", "Brothers Mario" and that damned "Zelda", I think there was also "Sonic" if I remember)
INSPECTOR GADGET LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOO
Well excuuuuuuuse me Princess!
At least they werent brainwashed
Dear god, parents please just put on Paw Patrol, fireman Sam, Bob the builder, Bluey and other child cartoon s that aren't cocomelon
It also can mess up your brain because the constant scene changes every 4 seconds causes your brain to release lots of dopamine
i don't think it's fair to blame kids for being ipad kids, i think we should look towards the parents who rather than raise their children would have youtube do it ins
I wouldn’t wish this show on my worst enemy.
oh no cringe meme
I used to work at a daycare where we would show the kids CoComelon videos to calm them down. I remember there was one day when I was dealing with rowdy kids so I played a CoComelon video for them on my phone but my manager told me to turn it off but she literally never told that to anyone else. That’s probably my main grievance against that “show.” Anyways, I think I also recognized the vegetable song from that time. I don’t know why they made JJ say that he wanted to eat his vegetables cuz kids literally refuse that. Do they even have touch with reality? I sure hope gen alpha can learn to read and start watching quality shows
Yeah I hope so.
J.J. is a 45 Years old Man with the Super Power to change his Age. He lives with those People that found him one Day, because he likes being treated like a Baby. As the Years passed, they wondered why he didn't grow. J.J. was too lazy to adjust his Appearance, so he just started acting older, which is why he was going to School. On the Weekends, he still acts like a Baby though. The Parents not knowing that they will never escape this Hell. Always changing Diapers, never really having much Time for themselves. Meanwhile J.J. is maniacally laughing in his sick and twisted Mind, knowing that they will satisfy his weird Desires, forever
But that’s just a theory-
A film theory!!!!
I remember your first Cocomelon video, and I just saw this one. You know something's best steered very clear from when Savantics makes more than one video about it.
My infancy was spent with Baby Einstein, which is FAR superior in every feasible way.
Kids deserve great programming like that to watch, not mind numbing junk like this.
Paw Patrol isn't even that great itself, but it's still better than CocoMelon.
I remember savantics plan B video I found this channel in terms of commentary videos very nostalgic Keep up the good work up👍
As a former member of the baby community, I am offended.
