I just came back from my first solo trip to london and honestly I recommend you visit Covent Garden! it’s such a good vibe 🥰 also borough market for great food 😋 anndd the hill garden and pergola near Hampstead heath, you’ll feel like you’re in a Romeo and Juliet movie ☺️ also taking pictures in a photo booth in Camden market is something cool you can do with friends 😜
absolutely couldn’t have made your London vlogs at a better time! i am about to start my postgraduate program in London and these vlogs have been so helpful! def need more to binge watch soon❤
Oh my goodness!!! I was at notting hill a couple of weeks ago at this big market thing it's always so busy there but always so pretty, anyways I'm such a big fan love your vlogs much loveee🤍🤍 and you have to try the macaroons there it's sooo gooddddd
You should visit Bremen Germany 🙈 🥰I think you would like the architecture 🏰 and the different neighborhoods 🏚🏘, the cafés 🍰☕ on the river ⛵, the really old historic part of the town and the beautiful parks 🌳⛲ oh and also a lot of cute thrift shops 🛍☺😅
OMGG!! i've been following you since 2014 or 2015, now I realize you lost your teenage features, it's been a looong journey, we grew up together *im sobbing* :')
Dude stop slating east London, west London is the richest most expensive part of London, that’s why it’s coming off so nice. The places you’re going to are also tourist areas, again obviously nice. I think you just had a romanticised view of London from listening to too much Taylor swift.
Really not here for the way you talk about East London, your “rough” comment was basically about the area being poorer which is pretty gross. I just need to stop watching now, I’m out.
@SnoopyNae I think, the commenter experienced Jen's wording as slightly tone deaf :) London is a beautiful city but there are obviously people struggling and just barely making their life a life and not an existence. So comments like Jen's can sound arrogant and privileged and that can be offensive!
Thing is,yes east London can be rougher in places, but frankly lots of places in London can be. But it’s also more ethnically diverse and there’s a direct correlation between ethnicity and affluence. West London is the rich area, affluent areas in London are usually not-diverse. What she said is the equivalent of being in New York and then visiting the upper east side and then saying ‘I think I’m an upper east side girlie’. Realistically for alot of people even, professionals earning a good income living in those areas is unfeasible ,people who can are usually born into more wealth and advantage. It’s ok to prefer that area, just no need to insult East London in the process.
Hi, I’m married to a native Londoner - and I agree with what you’re saying. She’s going to the fancy parts of London, thankfully for those of us who also aren’t native but who have spent a lot of time in the city KNOW there are so many amazing places and it’s not easy to find them unless you know a real Londoner. Yes there are rough parts of London, but you could get mugged on Oxford street as well as in leather lane or in hackney. I would be careful wording how whole neighborhoods are though because it’s kind of offensive.
Honestly Oxford street is my worst nightmare, can't get any worse than that for me😂 I'm also pretty sure I know the area she lives in and it's not rough at all tbh but I get what she's saying, so if it is the area I'm thinking there really isn't anything to do like directly in the area, you usually always have to take a bus or tube even within east London which is fine for most people working in the city but if you're an influencer and want to go to cute cafes etc I guess it might not be what you were looking for. But yeah east London is huge tbh, I think she maybe should differentiate between just her neighbourhood and east london in a whole. There's lots to do in hackney or canary wharf, isle of dogs etc

Exactly! Her idea of London is taken from movies, songs and other pieces of pop culture, not necessarily the reality

All she said was the area was rougher, she didn’t say anything other than that.
