I have hauled many tanks in the past , I would have them load them backward so the barrel pointed backward they wondered why till I hung my sign on the barrel ( tailgaters will be shot ) that always got a laugh from the troops . Not so much from the D.O.T.

@Logan Johnson We always traversed the turrets 180° on our M1's for transport. Since the turret isn't in the middle, most the barrel is over the back and only sticks out a couple feet. I would never haul one on this trailer though lol. Usually it's an Oshkosh M1070 tractor with an M1000 trailer. Things have 40 tires if I'm remembering right. Been a while. During the invasion we would be in our tanks while loaded up, they pulled us off-road, complete darkness, not a single light or glow stick even lol, from Kuwait where we staged all the way to Iraq where we started to pick up heat signatures a few miles away. Then we unloaded, got into formation and my life changed forever 😆🤘

Love watching these! My grandad was a military surplus dealer, and thats all he did for a long time, he’d clear out hundreds of pairs of boots and sell them on, but amongst the clothing he also had ferret scout cars, tanks, APCS, he had a 6 wheeler (big in the uk!) he used to pull down tress in his garden. We’ve still got a load of knives and welding masks, mine detection equipment and marquees from those days.

Amazing video guys, I really enjoyed the backing and loading sequences. With a quick research, I found out that the “tank” actually comes from my country, precisely the Czechoslovakia (now two separate countries). And Dave’a guess about the age was right, OT-90 is just a modernised version of the BMP-1 which was made in the 70’s and 80’s.

The fact that you imported multiple carriers - that is huge! Everheard of TBM Avenger - well - in 78 -79 - one went into a river near me. I was part of the spray plane crew - that fed the plane. The TBM pilot - was an old guy. His comment was - " he set it down on the rocks in the river - and waited for the chopper - to pick him up. The plane - was on top of the rocks - when it came to rest.
Like carriers - they are on top! Cheers!

    Very cool.
Dramatic, loading up with the hail..like tiny bullets.
    Tank rides low profile.
    Looks so cool. Love it!

Looks to be the Czech OT-90 (Soviet BMP-1 with different turret). Turret was changed to dual machine gun version from the original 73 mm 2A28 "Grom" gun version, so it didn't fall into the category of light tank for treaty purposes.

I'm retired SGT US Army with a 19 E MOS (Armor Gunner) and this APC is Russian I believe a BTR 60 with 23 MM gun. It was the focus of a combined arms attack by the Soviet Union and it's satellites.

Need to look into speed binders. They makes securing loads quicker and a lot easier than old style binders. Uses a drill or impact to tighten. I know dirt perfect uses them for his equipment

Periscopes are only used when you are in the shit (taking effective fire) and buttoned up. The seat goes up and you normally drive with your head up and sticking out.

That looks like an old D6 cable dozer by the size of the blade. I have many hours of seat time in many different dozers. I really enjoyed running a D8R like the one you were running. Good job!
