i had a mini quad with one of these motors in it a couple years ago but it never ran, I tinkered with it for hours but never figured out why it didn't work, now with some more knowledge with 2 strokes i can say the carb was definitely why it didn't run, sucks how I threw it away before I got to fixing the carb.

Yeah, they are kind of tricky, but symple motors only need spark and gas
