The Speed Triple is the mother of all Super Nakeds, Triumph basically started that entire era back in the day. Great bike, plenty of grunt and unique sound for sure!
Hi - Motophonic nice road test. The blue LEDs on the tach. are set on "running in" mode - to stop over-revving the new engine. You can set them to come on how and where you want. I have mine on 10000 rpm to change up at around 11000. Cheers

Going from my Thruxton R to this exact model this week. Loved the Thruxton 1200. I appreciate your real world review and I have no problem with missing gloves but you didn't forget your umbrella! I got so much troll crap for forgetting my gloves one ride.
not sure why you compared the speed triple to the FZ-09, the FZ-10 would be the direct competitor to it. The fz-09 competes with the street triple, line for line. The shift indicator is still set to break in RPM, that is why the shift indicator was flashing (break in 500-600 MILES).
Exactly, i don't know why he would compare the two, and he says the Triple doesn't wheelie as easily as the FZ-09. I'm like turn off the electronic safety features and that Triple will wheelie just fine. Plus he had it in Sport mode, Track mode is more livelier from what i've heard.
Probably because the FZ09 is a triple and the FZ10 is a 4 banger
@@hANNAbONE comparing based on engine alone is silly when the price tags are that different. the FZ09 is meant to be a cheap wheelie machine. Triumphs are more refined and equipped. it is like comparing the cheapest v8 comaro to a porche 911

"R" has Ohlins front rear .. bar end mirrors .. carbon fiber bits .. wheel tape .. fly screen .. 2x levers (I think*)

Great review of the bike, much to like about it, seeing that you've been hammered about the gloves, I'll limit my comment to the muzak. It almost had me switching off, the way you have it fade in, irritate the shit out of you then fade out......only to come back yet again. Aaaarrgh. Sorry just my view, I found it verrry distracting, not only masking the sound of the triple engine, it doesn't add any value.
