I agree, the A18 Pro will be epic. It will have to be - with Qualcomm set to release the 8 Gen 4 with the Oryon cores, Apple has to do something big to remain on top! I feel like this might also be the year they take back the raw GPU performance crown too, personally.

That's why I suppose they can only get from current 4GHz to about 6GHz before even 1nm process node won't allow them to scale any further as 1nm transistor is only a few atoms wide. The only thing they will be able to do at that point is to increase the core count or hope for some exotic material allowing semi-conductors to achieve perfect conductivity in the ON state. Such semiconductors already exist and one transistor coated in exotic material already achieved over 1THz (1000GHz). A couple billion more of these on a single chip for 1000x less money and we are there.

I upgrade to a new iPhone exactly every two years, and I've done so religiously since 2008. One receives maximum resale value while experiencing tangible upgrade benefits. This would not be the case if one upgraded each year. In fact, I made $300 upgrading from the 12 pro to the 14 pro, and on two other occasions my iPhone was free. On three other occasions I paid $200 or less for a tangible upgrade. This is the way to do it. I tried to help a colleague upgrade a couple of years ago to a 13 mini, but she had to pay through the nose because she held onto her old iPhone 7 far too long. It had no resale value whatsoever.

This is a big reason I'm switching. 1. The m1 macbook air has convinced me of apple build quality and the battery life is insane for a laptop 2. I've had the s9, s20+, s22 ultra. None of them have remained as smooth as day one. Samsung trade ins are so good they kept me, but I'm tired of the phone swapping every 2 years. I'm gonna buy a damn iPhone and run it into the ground.

@@hobosnake1fr, unlike androids Iphones just needs a battery replacement every couple of years and it’s performance becomes pretty much good as new.

@@incognito5416 honestly samsung is better than iphone people say, but they still have their issues. Definitely getting the 16 pro max when it's out. Samsung is like a treadmill. Once you have a Samsung phone, it's cheaper to buy the newer flagship in America because Samsung give you damn near 1k for a trade in. Maybe that's changed, but it's what kept me. But I don't like trading in every 2 years. It's just a hassle and it's just like iphone where new Samsung phones aren't very exciting.

I bet people will say “ apple sucks samsung is better!” Again and again and im SICK of that shit please just stop yapping about that all the time all you people do is commenting about something that you dont even 100% know about or you just haven’t experienced both samsung’s and apple’s flagship. Just dont talk about something that you dont really know it will make you look stupid infront of everyone.

I’m not going to buy another iPhone until Apple restores the SIM card tray for the US versions. I have an iPhones 12 Pro Max and am very happy to continue using it till the battery needs replacing. Then I’ll replace its battery

Please just stop with the constantly alternating “Apple is amazing”/“Apple sucks videos! It’s annoying AF. Most of the “sucks” videos are just a few barely slower benchmarks. I know titles need to be sensationalized for views, but it’s still annoying.

I think they probably will. I have a 14 pro and I was tempted to upgrade to a 15 pro specifically because of USB-C and the hardware accelerated ray tracing on the A17 pro chip. But I held off because all the reviews stated that the piss poor frame rates playing AAA games make it feel very much like a “beta” in that regard. I’m hoping/confident the next iPhone will have much improved gaming performance.
