Thanks for the memories..lived in Karratha from July 2020 to April 2022. We explored and camped nearly every 2nd weekend around the Pilbara region...beautiful spot. Missed the red dirt and the watering holes. Found your video on recommendation and loved it. 😀
missed you dude. you find the beauty in the peace n quiet away from everybody. i can relate. some of those scenes were unreal... keep up the good work. xox
I have a sixth sense with YT. After no post for months I looked up this channel last night thinking "bout time Salty posted something again and today lo and behold! 😆
Mate first video I've seen of you and absolutely blown away mate. Excellent laid back style is awesome and so well edited, I live in newman and now want to go check these out.
I love the laid back pace of your videos, you drink in the natural beauty and allow us to share the experience with you. No shouty hyperbole, just a gentle appreciation of the amazing landscapes. Love your dog too.
Only recently found your vids, bloody ace ! As someone from the UK I must say I feel fortunate to have been to your country 17 times during the last 38 years and probably seen more than many Aussies , amazing place with enormous history, look after it !!
I appreciate your vid’s, as these days I am in a wheelchair due to a bike accident. I love the outdoors and these vids give me the opportunity to see the country. Not that a wheelchair stops me anyway. Keep up the good work😊
I know this Pool. I took a Quad Bike there and have ridden trail bikes here. I had a couple of scary moments on the Quad. I couldn't imagine anyone towing something to this spot. Nice to see some of the Pilbara on TH-cam.
Hey Salty, your videos have made more of an impact on me than you could even know! I appreciate the visuals, level of depth, storytelling and substance in your work, your channel is unmatched. I've been watching for a very long time and you have really inspired me to get out there and find some beautiful tracks! Please keep going, your stuff needs to be seen. 🙏🏼❤
Its a crazy irony - we rely on mining and exploration tracks to enter and admire many of these places yet there is the ever present potential for the mining company to exploit resources they find. Another beautifully produced video Salty, well done.
Beautiful!! I Spent a lot of time around that area for work. It is truly spectacular when you come across places like that. To be cherished and protected!!
Best video yet mate. Loved it. Keep this place a secret! Looks like a ripper spot and would hate to see the crowds ruin it. Awesome indigenous history aswell
Thanks so much. I have lived in Western Australia for 27 year and never been here but was feeling it though. Have had some health issues in recent years and possibly will never be able to go so just love your travels not sure I’ll ever get to see in real life so this is next best thing😊 Your trip is truely mind blowing feels like I’m along for the drive/adventure too. Just love your dog too I bet he’s fab company. You’re so brave, keep going I think you’re amazing thank you for the awareness, education, adventure, scenery and yes conservation is very important, keep spreading your information I just love it! Thank you 🙏
Spectacular find, both the camps and the sharpening stone. Imagine what it would of looked like before mining got there, probably a lot like where you have just driven, a rather chilling thought. Absolutely gorgeous country that I miss greatly. I love how respectful you are of country and culture.
Only recently discovered your vids .....awesome ! Coming from the UK I've gradually over the last 40 years fallen in love with the country and its vast natural history and wildlife. I've visited your country 17 times so far and love exploring some of the remote areas , keep posting the videos and keep your passion !! Steve
Spectacular!! I love how you're filming slowly with the drone. It let's us viewers soak it all in. I also love how you talk so calmly, sharing information and your point of view. Thankyou for your efforts...
Loved this episode mate. We live in the Pilbara and love watching other people enjoy what it has on offer. We totally understand the affection of the place . And to watch your videography and photography capturing it is something else. You really know how to tell a real story of the places you travel too. Amazing mate Thank you Brad & Fi
I lived in Newman for years. Used to love going to Kalgan's. I now live in the UK but have a trip planned to go back to Australia in October and will be road tripping through the Pilbara. Will be visiting Newman again.
Love your passion for the beauty of the outback - you can see and hear it. We were lucky enough to visit Kalgans and Eagle Rock - just spectacular. Thanks SD.
Awesome work CD, love the Pilbara. We were up there in July but south end of Karijini NP and then back west and down through station country where we saw outlooks not seen by other for many years!
Hi Salty I lived in Mt Newman in the 70s went to primary school and have worked in the Pilbara around Tom Price and Paraburdoo very harsh beautiful country love your blog great story and awesome footage keep it up nice work 👍
I love watching your videos Salty, I hope you keep making more, they are epic. I’m inspired to get out there and explore this great land thanks to you. Stunning scenery and I hope that it stays that way, once mined it’s never the same again, regardless of how much remediation they do.
Great video mate! I lived in the Pilbara for 27 years and have been FIFO now for another 11. I recently took my wife up through Newman and Karijini on our way up to Darwin. It is spectacular country through there. Once it is in your blood, I don't believe you can get it out. Keep up the great work!
Great scenery and your videography and editing skills are top notch. Just so you know: I have put a complaint in to the Australian government because you do not put out enough videos! Great to see you back and happy travels
A very special video. I've never seen such beauty and I'm travelling around Oz at the moment. Your photography and videography are at such an amazing level. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. be safe.
Hi from the sunny coast QLD. I've so missed your videos. You go to where I know I'll never be, and I love the Australian outback, you've shown some amazing spots, so thankyou so much for sharing your travels. Take care.
Keep up the fantastic work mate, love the videos , commentary and choices of music! The Pilbara and surrounds are magical and need to be kept as they are.
Loved the vid mate. I have a soft spot for the Pilbara as I lived in Port Hedland for 5 years and regularly headed off the beaten track in search of places off the map. What was even more special about this video for me was I regularly travelled to all the places you went to. All the best mate and I look forward to the next video.
Singularly the best video I have watched for a long time, seriously gave me goosebumps. Love the videography, music and landscape! Totally on board with you about how worrying it is that mining companies have such a free rein with leases and core sampling. Nice one Salty
Fantastic video mate, really well put together and was a great watch. Far out W.A looks a lot different to down here in Vicco, such incredible country up your way.
Absolutely incredible. You have done a remarkable job of capturing the landscape. So so very talented Salty. Thank you so much for sharing this with us not only for the sensational footage and experience but also your knowledge about the area
I remember flying backward and forward between Telfer and Perth and looking out the window seeing heaps of glimmers between gorges with nothing around. Always wanted to do this, good on you!
Fantasic videos and what I like discovering nature. Stunning red rocks and canyons like our Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. I live in the great Sonroran Desert of the US, so it hits home and interesting to see plants and animals that have adapted in another arid land which is more alive with life that you think. WIth global warming trees not meant for our climate in Phoenix are dying but not the eucalyptus and acacia from Down Under that are taking it with no issues so far. Summers here now are in excess of 42 C for almost two months.
Just found this very inspiring 💎🙏💕🐨
Funny as the dog gets the chair and salty sits on the ground 😂
Loved the dog in the chair to.
Absolute legends! Thanks so much everyone. Plenty more videos coming soon. Really appreciate the feedback and everyones kind words.
