9:35, i was curios and tested this, made screenshot from the vivo, and cropped it to 150%, because the sharpening is not artificial, the details where kept in even from screenshot of video, they became soft upon cropping instead of seeing artifacts or micro halos. Here Huawei again has so much denoise, and im surprised that you pick that over maybe tiny bit increased sharpness from normal levels, would be nice to have full res video uploaded somewhere so we can do proper crops, cheers.
Thanks for another great video, just started to watching, @8:30 i would disagree here, Huawei used so much temporal and chroma denoise that the colors are nuked, and you have 0 facial texture, it is much better to have slightly sharper textures with some warmth, then denoised smudging with grey/yellow/green cast. BTW the settings to reduce sharpness work in photo mode also not just in pro mode, just a tip. You also can turn off denoise in pro video, and set 120 mbps bitrate + turn off auto low fps that makes big difference for low light videos.
22:55 suggestions, i would not care so much for 100X zooms, i would prefer to see 3x vs 3x, 7x, 10x, 15x i think those are much more usable ranges, thanks.

@@lorenzogattaldo3764 You can achieve that by zooming out to 0.85x before it switches to the ultrawide. A bit hard to achieve as it only shows 0.8x and 0.7x and so on. So 0.8 can be uwide or if you move slightly in 24mm.

@@lltechview makes sense, also Ive seen that nowadays there are more restrictions with Chinese ROMs like OPPO/Vivo than actually Huawei due to MicroG or other alternative (i.e. android auto)
I have a vivo x90 pro + and it feels like it's only worth for the camera, there are too many functions that only work in china that doesn't felt like a 1000usd+ device

Hello together, I also dislike the expressive coloring of the vids of the X100 Ultra. Maybe there's a workaround: Go to Album/Alben, choose the vid, go to "Bearbeiten"/edit and change the settings of "Sättigung"/Saturation or "Lebendigkeit"/Liveliness. I have got a German menu, so I don't see the English words. Then you can export the vid in original quality and you have your vid with the same size with reduced saturation or liveliness.
@@lltechview I also used the pro mode with 150 Mbit/s to have no visible degradation in quality. I think liveliness is the key, because not everything in the vid is oversaturated- it's faces, grass and the sky. And if you turn down saturation, some parts of the vid may look pale.
@@lltechview I mainly want to take pictures of my kids, but I'm having a hard time deciding between the X100 Pro and the X100 Ultra since their differences don't seem that significant.
@@Shivakidobe Both are good for this if they don't move around too much. Otherwise the sports mode helps a lot. Depening on your needs the tele sensor on the ultra works better in lower light conditions.
10:46 when you review the ultrawide, when you switched to Ultrawide lens, the focus switched to background and it remained there. That is the phone's fault, granted, but it would be better to show quality when the ultrawide lens was actually focused on you. Same with Vivo
@eugend.45 just no lol. pixel 8pro still uses the same main sensor from 2 generations ago, the same inferior isocell gm1 tele-sensor from the 7 pro (which was a downgrade from the 6pro's imx586) but with a slightly wider aperture. install a recent gcam mod on a real flagship with a modern 1" sensor and a capable tele and it spanks the pixel left and right. i have bigkaka gcam 9.1 on my magic 5 pro and the results are leaps and bounds ahead of my pixel 7 pro. pixel is all software, the camera hardware is mediocre at best.
Both camera phone are good , but the vivo is the king of camera 2024. The problem with your comparison is you are comparing a picture taken separately. you need to use a hand held camera stabilizer and took a picture simultaneously.
why can't vivo add a 4k30 cinematic mode on the front camera? honestly it's what's stopping me from getting their phone. I love to vlog and I need that feature.

thats the ultrawide you're talking about, and both lenses were on background focus when he switched them, if both phones re-focused to the foreground and face the comparison would actually be valid. Well, the phones didn't switch by themselves, so that's something to say about them too I guess.

The datasheet of the Huawei says that the main camera has lens with a focal length of 24,5mm. How come you have here 27mm?
Huawei since the beginning is always cropping in to 27mm for 1x.
