Brother i have written you before about my journey as a former jw and yes much like you l had reached the end of myself 4am in the morning one night and pleaded to god to show me who he was, i opened the bible and all the scriptures were jumping off the pages showing me who jesus christ was , god had removed the vail from my eyes! It was a game changer i was up all night 6hrs and had five different bible versions in front of me. My wife being a former jw at the time thought i had lost my mind. Then through gods grace and my efforts she finally came to her Demascus moment and we both cried because of the love and mercy god was showing us. I may send you a written letter by email some day as to my journey and victory , as i know others will relate. Today when i speak to jehovah witnesses about the diety of Jesus they run and think i have lost my mind , which i know you understand. It reminds me of the fear, obligation and guilt along with condemnation i once lived with! Today i am so free in ways i never knew could be possible. Your brother in Jesus Christ Kevin.

God woke me up too. He stopped me from turning my husband into the elders for teaching something 'apostate' (Biblical.)
Then I asked Him for the truth and got way more than I bargained for.

Good to know we are not alone with the fear, guilt and anxiety we had as JWs, just daring to speak to Jesus made me feel like I’m going to get struck down in that instant…. But the peace afterwards..!!!! What a release ! For me literally was like someone let go of my throat and I could breathe again! Amen. I never was a JW, but I came close to being one when my best friend was brainwashed into it. I studied the "bible" with them. After a while, I was so depressed and afraid. Then somehow, some way, I became friends with a woman who was a JW and I became born again. Welcome to our family! Thank you, Jesus.

I love this testimony! 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 speaks of those that were deceived because they received NOT the LOVE of truth! All of my family on my fathers side are Jehovah's witnesses. My mother passed when I was 4 and my father left me and my little brother with a great aunt until I was 11. He wasn't a devout witness but that was his religion. These things were actually a blessing as i was not indoctrinated at a young age to be a witness. When i was 21 years old and 3 years clean I accepted Jesus Christ. Prior to this i was an agnostic and demonic person. The years passed, I grew in Christ, made Him Lord of my life (which is a daily struggle) and the last time I spoke with my dads side of the family was when grandpa passed away. The report I got is that Grandpa was on his deathbed suddenly became agitated and died. He was a devout witness but i believe this was a bad sign. My father passed a couple years later. We debated a few times and i respectfully showed in the scripture that Jesus is God, the Holy Spirit IS a person and that annihilationism IS false. he only argued with me about hell. I don't know if my dad made it, from what i see the fruit of salvation was lacking but I do hope. When the Lord leads I implore witnesses to study the bible without other literature and remind them of what Jesus said about the Holy Spirit in John chapters 14 and 16 being our teacher and that we don't need mans interpretation. You are refreshing bro because I haven't seen 1 witness see the truth yet, at least that I've seen.

Organized religion is a lie.
A personal relationship with Christ is all you need.
A loving God who hates violence and suffering commands the slaughter of children and the disembowelling of pregnant women (Hosea 13:16). This god is the image of all the other gods of this era who always used violence and suffering to impose his power as any human dictator would do.
Johovas don't talk to Jesus.... strange religion... Jesus is there for us. What the heck... sorry I'm confused! I don't understand why they don't?
How long have you been saved now? Religion is a man-created context in which a person performs all sorts of rituals, abides by certain rules and do's and don'ts, and performs good works all in the hope of finding favor with God and going to heaven. Christianity, God doing all the work by sending his only begotten Son to feed the poor, heal the lame, and preach the gospel. His ultimate destiny lay before Him going to the cross taking on the sins of the world and shedding his sinless blood. Man wants to save himself, but Christ went to the cross and he paid the price for us when he was crucified and in his last words said it is finished. It boggles my mind although I know it is spiritual deception by Satan that people would be involved in a religion in which those who govern
are an anonymous body of people in another city. Although I wouldn't call Christianity a religion someone once said, if your religion doesn't change you need to find another religion. Although not a Jehovah's Witness thank you for your testimony. Amazing how when a man or woman cries out to God he ordains the circumstances in which he or she is saved. Can you believe that God has the nerve to change the radio station. lol He is amazing and loving and powerful, even though I have been a Christian for a long time I'm seeing it more and more every day and I praise him for that
