I've watched thousands of hours of ex JW testimonials and have never heard someone tell the elders " I need some space to figure out who I am without someone TELLING me who I am" I thinks that's just BRILLIANT! and that's all that needs to be said! Right there!

I wish I said that. I just lied and said I wanted to marry a non-jw to get everyone off my back, and then she left me two weeks after

Logan, everything you said is true. You did your research, good job. I did research too, and can back up everything you said. I had suicide attempts but God won't let me go for some reason. My sister committed suicide. People just don't realize how bad a cult can screw your mind up. Awesome video. Thank you for sharing!!!! ❤️

JW's have one of the highest suicide rates. Growing up a JW in a small MI town in the 70's was awful. It should be considered child abuse. I was held up by my hair in front of my math class for not saluting the flag. Now they care more about football than their flag so what good did it do? Just so they could check the persecution check box.

Logan: I was addicted to porn since the age of 12 and masturbated all my life. All I can say is I'm no longer ashamed of it. What is the downside? You didn't get STD's, bring unwanted children into the world, missed the chance of hurting someone. Sex addiction is a real thing and it manifests mainly in people what have undergone extreme trauma. I was in an extreme violent home life that if I tried to let anyone they would never talk to me again (especially elders). Sex addiction is a side effect of experiences you should have never be exposed to so there is nothing to be ashamed about. I realized I had PTSD all my life. The good news is it does get easier as you age. The best revenge is living well, so don't be a window washer door knocker.

Logan, exceptional video…thank you for your kind words and your kind thoughts..
I left that sect 45 years ago “The best decision I had made as a young man”.
My brother and I grew up in the JWs in the 60s, our parents were very brutal when it came to discipline.
Never look back to that crazy mess life.
Now, I am 62 years old, I show my children all of you videos and experiences you endured inside that sect….
Thank you and all the people who spend their time and energy awakening and alerting others of the dangerousness of the JWs cult…

My mother got involved with JWs when I was 2 years old. I grew up in it. I was never baptized. I'm 60 now and feel like a lot of my life was wasted in it. I have not been associated with it for decades. I agree that a relationship with God is much more important than any religion. I am glad that you got out of it and have a real relationship with God. This is one of the best videos I have seen from an ex JW. It is well articulated and well thought out. There are so many people who have been harmed by this organization. Thank you for speaking out.

Wow, thank you for sharing this! Never was a JW, but I know someone (who I am very close to) who is a DF’ed JW but still mentally stuck in. I. Want to help him in any way I can so been learning all I can from those who were in. I see him hurting so much and I just pray and wish he could see Jesus for who he really is and not what the cult says. Of all the hundreds of hours of testimonial videos I have watched, THIS is so powerful. I don’t associate with a denomination but do have a relationship with God/Jesus and that’s all that matters. You are absolutely right about your thoughts on there being only one religion when the Bible makes it very apparent that is not the case. I want to add that it was GB Jeffrey Jackson who was in the court hearing with the Australian Royal Commission making the comments about being the spokesperson for God … “that would be a bit presumptuous of us …” or something like that. He straight up lies about what JWs believe.

Thank you for sharing to sharing your story. This is quit a story, my son left at 16, I was a sobbing parent too..., my husband, and I are out the cult also. I hope for you that you stay your authentic self, and I hope you can see that your parents acted so indoctrinated by a false religion, that you had to suffer from it. I don't want to judge your parents, but hopefully for them and for you, I hope that they will come to the realisation that their strong principles about raising kids, was based on doctrines. So much I want to say to you, sending you a hug from the Netherlands. I am so proud of you. I left at 15, because my parents were so strict, but I decided that from that moment on, I was responsible for my own life, it was hard, I returned to the cult when I was 20, married my school heart sweetheart,, we raised our child in the cult, but I always learned from the way my parents attempt to raise me. They thought it was the right way, but it was not.. I made my mistakes too, I gave advice my son not to be friends with ''worldly'' people....but in the end I apologised to him that that was wrong to say and now he is living his life, at 40, married with the love of his life and raising his kids with a open mind.
I have huge respect for you and I am only in 21 minutes in your video:-) to listen to more but I had to take a pause to write you.

Hey, I'm not an ex JW, but my parents were very controlling, I was homeschooled, etc. It wasn't any theological issue, it was my mom's personality disorder. I took a personal freedom inventory and scores in the prisoner range. I didn't leave until I was kicked out in the middle of winter (I have health problems and was told that I was lazy, so basically I almost died). Anyway, the part where you said that God didn't answer your prayers until you left resonated with me. It was so confusing and still is. I felt tortured. He did answer my prayer though and sent someone to help me. Anyway, we're not alone!

Thank you so much for your experience, especially your out of body description. I am reminded of Matthew 10 26-31 and Psalm 139. Also your feelings at that time of being 1% earthly and 99% spirit or soul. May our almighty Father stay with you and may your work lead many ex witnesses to find rest and peace. Psalm 4 8. I didn't just put that because you're yawning though. Lol. 😀 PS I do not belong to any denomination; its about our relationship with our Father God and our Saviour. You are so right; the only true Christianity is based on the gospels, those who knew Jesus Christ Himself, not man-made doctrines. Psalm 146.

Wow! The struggle to become a normal, healthy man under such difficult circumstances! Your honesty is compelling to me and kept you sane, I'm sure. I'm also a fellow attempted self-terminator, btw.
One piece of advice from my experience, if it doesn't seem too arrogant to say so, is this: Don't underestimate your brain's ability to have produced the strange experiences you described. I think it's good to question everything one believes and experiences. You've grown up with beliefs in a higher power and, I believe, these beliefs have 'simply' been transferred to a new model.
Please look at objective evidence and 'what is more likely'. There's love out here from those who 'believe' and those who don't. I'm one from the latter camp (who enjoys reading the bible, as a great piece of literature and propaganda).
Good luck in your future endeavours.

This is the problem with groups created under Western culture that attempt to adhere to a book written entirely in eastern culture. The Bible is Eastern culture from cover-to-cover.
Jehovah's Witnesses and other Western Christian sects are trying to live with one foot in Western culture and one foot in eastern culture. It doesn't work.
In the Bible and Eastern culture there is no dating.
    God gave Eve to Adam.
Abraham sent for a wife for Isaac.
Hagar got a wife for Ishmael.
Pharaoh got a wife for Joseph.
Jethro gave his daughter to Moses.
Judge Ibzan sent for wives for his sons.
David sent his men to ask Abigail to be his wife.
    Etc.
Jehovah's Witnesses have all kinds of stipulations and prohibitions.
Such as chaperones are required, no sex before marriage, etc.
If you are going to have no sex before marriage then you should also have no kissing or even touching before marriage. In eastern culture, physical contact before marriage is forbidden. Touching and kissing of the first steps on the stairway of sexual intercourse. Why play with fire if you don't want to get burned.
But if you are going to have all these Eastern culture prohibitions, then you must also implement the compliment that Eastern culture provides -matchmaking.
The honorably bringing young man and woman together for the purpose of facilitating marriage.
When a young man or woman comes forth and announces their desire for a marriage mate, it is the duty of the parents, and the congregation to see that becomes a reality.

Our Lord Jesus shed his blood for ALL to come into him and receive life..... Without him there is NOTHING!! 🤔💯

No middleman as in any imperfect human is what he's referring to. To earthly man he way does not belong. We should not be trusting in any man for our life. We are all imperfect and only perfect blood can atone for our sins. Imperfect man cannot give you life. They can take your life but not thr remembrance of you in Gods eyes. Only Jesus can reconcile us to God.
