@@pauldoc567 oh yes you can. I've had cattle since 1968, bought some first Gen black angus from Scotland. Cross bred and tried lots of different breeds but the 1 that worked best was a 3 way cross. 50% red angus (modern) 25% simmental and 25% Maine anjoe. Simmental purebred can't handle the cold and eat twice of the other breeds. Our calves topped the market by 2 to 8 cents a pound every sale we sold at.
Thanks for sharing! The cows do look amazing calm but also strong / healthy and sprightly. It’s also clear that they all have their own identities. Brilliant advert for Scottish farmers !
Thanks for posting this . Lovely to see the livestock part of your farming enterprise. Amazing to think that some of your cows were purchased in the livestock marts here in the west of Ireland. Hope they continue to be healthy and lucky for you.
Great video as always I've been saying the same thing as you did about dredging if it was left to the farmers it would definitely help but that is sepa but don't get me started lol 😀
Super cattle ,, ye getting a lot of rain I have a massive underground water tank to collect rain water and last Sunday it was down to 1 inch ,, 1st time been this low since 1992 Water is scarce ,, Strange as we had a wet winter but since may not a lot of good rain ,,
Thanks for showing us the livestock look fabulous especially breeding hiefers not one cough on any thats care for u, west of ireland is noted for sucklers best wishes from there
Have you seen "Wardys weekly waffle " ? Farms in Lincolnshire. Flooding is a major topic. His godson lost 2000 acres underwater for 9 months also Tom Pemberton and Joe Seels. All on TH-cam all having water problems. I think my summer is going to be next week here in suffolk.
No we’ve bought from Ireland for over 40 years so TB testing is nothing new. It’s rules and regulations are getting tighter, floating them over is harder and recently due to sudden change in personal circumstances

Holy smokes with that flooding.
Enjoy your channel. Great cattle and bulls. How many turbines have you on your land ? How do you mean your fully Irish regarding your TB testing ?
Thank you, we have 5 turbines.
Great looking calves. What time of year do ye sell the autumn born calves
Autumn calves are sold in September😊
Question: Where can the water be held before reaching the river?
Lovely bunch of calves. What do you give to prevent grass Tetney later on in autumn?
I now know why your cattle look so good its because they are irish
How long is Scotland free of tb .here in ireland tb is still plentiful
I believe since 2009
That is great .I lost 3 cattle this year after being clear for 8 years.
❤
Are the wind mills 0n your land xx
Yes but we don’t own them 😊
Wheres the sheep lol
Are you no longer buying your heifers from Ireland and if so is it because you have to TB test your Irish Cattle every year.
No we’ve bought from Ireland for over 40 years so TB testing is nothing new. It’s rules and regulations are getting tighter, floating them over is harder and recently due to sudden change in personal circumstances
Too many idiots in charge they have no idea about the countryside
