- A wee update on how our cows and calves are getting on. A lot going on in the background, I can't be everywhere but so far calving going okay... I don't want to say too much!

The stores will weigh better than same age stuff continental x dairy holstine as convertion rate is worse

If a cow has a C section can it have a calf again ?
Yes, not an issue .
You should keep 20 or 30 of those big heifers, synchronize them, breed them AI in march to a red angus heifer bull.
Why? Looks like they love their simmenthal if you would keep your own replacements than of the breed you like. Synchronize gets you a peek of calving sometimes it's beter to spread the workload and space.
@@paulaltena with heifers it's better to have a smaller calf alive than a big dead one and a ruined heifer. I've calved out close to 100 heifers a year
