I noticed this in North America in general...in several schools I visited they tend to emulate Danaher's style of over-indulging in details, some that are not even that important. Jiu-Jitsu is simple, people over complicate them, create silly names, promote bullshit techniques rhat would fwt your face smashed in real life etc.

I have stopped watching Danaher's
instructional. I had to prepare popcorn everytime watching him. John explains a 2-minute technique in 2 hours.

What if the opponent puts the elbows on the ground? In the school were I train no one puts their elbows so far from the ground.
Can the opponent push you while having the elbows on the ground ? Also doesn't it leave you open for a choke ?
