First step of the warframe journey for me! Hope you enjoyed the watch and are as excited as I am to continue through this game!

My name in game is Mactics#655 if you want to send me a friend request! Just please don't gift me any frames/weapons or anything that will actually impact gameplay. I want to progress at the same rate as everyone else
you can turn off gifting or set it to friends only in settings, also welcome to the warframe community.
The space for you to do builds is there, but understand, even on Excalibur ALONE, there are dozens of mod setups to explore and "build".
You are more limited by what mods you own/don't own than anything else. You are right in one thing though, outside of some very specific time/event gated items, everything is obtainable either by playing or by trade with another player.
Congrats Mactics, you just scratched the surface of a mile-thick brick, can't wait to see how you react as the story progresses!
Make a clan, I will join it!!

As someone who has played Warframe for the better part of 8 years, I still love watching new players learn the game. The first time you bullet jump is a feeling you'll never forget. And the Warframe community is always so nice to new players.
I remember Super Jump and stamina lol, when they introduced the proper movement system it was wild.
The community may be nice, but not being able to reset progress to know what is going on is a dealbreaker
This makes me want to hop on and play on my switch again. Lol
Watching new players slowly accidentally learn to bullet jump, or wall jump before the instructions on how to do it, and then begin to mix and mash the movement tech is such a great and satisfying feeling
We all love our Movement Tech in this house
Best part? The players get salty with the devs and the devs ACTUALLY GO FIX WHATEVER WAS MAKING PLAYERS SALTY

Seeing a sudden rise in Warframe videos from Destiny creators is a strange thing, but I welcome it!
Yeah given the outlook on Destiny's future, it makes sense that they are branching out
Yeah, I think my first reason for trying Warframe was from being an ex-Destiny 2 player, and it was probably one of my most appreciated decisions in gaming, and I've been gaming for a long long long time.
FF14 players "first time?"
@quipsilvervr my boyfriend is working on getting me into Warframe from D2 now. I'm a diehard Destiny fan since he got me into it 2.5 years ago, but we're both a little burnt out. So far, I'm not thoroughly convinced, but I AM enjoying it!
It's like wow and ff14. 😉
my favorite types of Warframe content:
1: watching new players experience this gem of a game, particularly once they hit the cinematic quests.
2: build videos that bring something to the table other than "put on the standard 7 mods for this weapon class" or "spam this one ability button forever"
Yeah, I'd like to watch the "experience" too but it has a paywall on twitch
While I mostly agree, "put Grendel helminth on frame" is kind of there lmao. And ofc rhino roar.
It's not 1:1 but I think the main difference personally between d2 and wf is just how much content there is in that sweet spot of hard and easy; and it's totally scalable to whether you wanna run some gross war crime loadout...or a weaker loadout to feel things out.
Like the ability to fine tune your scaling in this vs. The difficulty that exists is awesome.
@JihoonJKim choosing to willingly nerf yourself isn't game difficulty. Warframe's difficulty is generally on the easier side, with a very small number of pieces of content that can really challenge players (60 eyes sp and max difficulty deep archimedia basically being it, maybe long endurance runs but those have a super niche audience). D2 has a far broader selection of difficulties to choose from. Basically anything is viable in -5 power, only the best gear is good in contest mode.
@@JihoonJKim what i love about warframe is how i play volt as a full melee build, and its as valid and fun for me, as my friend who uses him as a massive CC stunlocker.
@@shanemoody529 That’s only true for people with more than a few hundred hours in the game. A new player doesn’t have to worry about finding difficulty in various places especially after unlocking SP. I mean, do you know how many videos there are about “how to survive Steel Path”?
It’s a valid criticism but it takes a long time to get to the point where it even matters.
Warframe build guides that aren't "slap these same 7 mods on" are vastly appreciated. Creativity is sometimes lacking due to how many weapons and frames you need to mod up to snuff
Creativity is lacking because the modding system isn't very good and mostly an illusion of choice unless you're ok with being subpar which is fine but a build video is usually the optimized build
When I first started playing warframe in 2018, I had no clue the mod system was like that, and I wondered why I hit a brick wall with my builds. Fast forward to now, I can handle myself in Requiem missions thanks to the ability to understand it
@@theblackishboy1105it seems you still have a lot to learn about modding
@@txcgladiator4030 if you say so it's possible but warframe is about damage and aoe and 60% of the mods you use are basically mandatory on everything you use
@@theblackishboy1105Straight damage building is actually way worse than building to the weapons strengths which is quite varied. Almost to an annoying degree, each weapon outside of basic rifles (which aren’t too common) has its own unique way of working. There’s a reason people only use certain weapons with certain frames and vice versa
Finding synergies and working within the uniqueness of the designs is far more effective than “damage and aoe”
Aoe alone works in quite a few different ways, it’s disingenuous to characterize it as straight up
8:37 Weird enough, being given free stuff early into the game by veterans is part of the new player experience. Someone gave me a free Rhino prime during my first few trades and later on I gifted someone a Skin bundle.
That didn't happen to me that's crazy
I have helped dozens of new players, but I always ask to what extent they want help. I won't carry. I only gift stuff when they really want/need it, but they have to learn the grind, how and where to get stuff, understand the game. Gifting them a Saryn Prime (for example) from day 1 will not help them with the experience and understanding of the game.
I personally like the grind and eventually that feeling of joy to finally get that specific part needed to complete the set. That's my main goal in the game... The journey.
@@gaso3035 Community might have changed since 2019
This didn't happen to me in 2016 the first time I started playing the game (right around Saryn's Prime release) , mostly because I started with a smaller group of online friends who introduced me to the game. Sadly, later on, our little self-made clan got separated and I'm the only one who is consistently playing the game update after update.
I'm glad that getting free stuff for new players is a common thing tho
It's common and great it's possible, but I think it's also really important to let a new player first experience the way the reward system works. Let them collect the regular frames and weapons, let them try those first instead of completing the entire star chart while never having to switch frame. So many players that don't know the power of other frames or weapons because they never really used them. And then they need to unveil their rivens and have to google how to because they only know the meta setups.
best advice for new players looking to get through the game is just try and unlock all the planets. you will end up doing the story along the way and a lot of planets have requirement to unlock like doing the pervious story quest so by focusing on unlocking all the planets you will be able to go through the story with less getting lost
That "wait a minute, what did I just do?!" with the bullet jump is exactly what I felt the first time I played. 😂
Possibly my favorite difference from D2 weapons is that you aren't gated by 'exotics' or random rolls. The modding system and the fact that you.can have op weapons in every slot makes this weapons system so much more fun and approachable
You aren't gated by exotics or random rolls (kinda). But you are gated by time. Want the strongest primary in the game? Oops looks like torid incarnon was last week guess you have to wait 7 weeks. Those were things I forgot about but nearly made my friends quit. Being told you have to wait that long just sucks.
@@shanemoody529 and D2 doesn't time gate things? I definitely get your argument and agree in part and would say that warframe isn't a 'perfect' game but it doesn't really compare to how much D2 does it and there are also multiple weapons that can shred all content so wanting one particular weapon is 100% a time commitment i agree but you can test plenty of other that are just as strong while you wait out the rotation. Plus lets not forget the game is f2p and about the closest to truly f2p there is. I literally play the game for the grind as it's rewarding to do so. I personally don't think bungie respects your time grinding as much as warframe does
@8bitgrimey with the exception of things like r5 melee influence Xoris, the vast majority of the strongest weapons are circuit incarnons. Numerous builds are basically entirely locked off until you get ceramic dagger incarnon. Notably this isn't as relevant as it would be in a game like D2 because most of warframe is piss easy. The only real challenges are 60 eyes sp, full modifier DA, and sp endurance runs.
Speaking as a player that has led new players through both games somewhat recently, it is far easier to get someone to "endgame viable" status in D2 than warframe.
@@shanemoody529 absolutely agree with you there for sure on all points. I think both games have a long way to go in creating better 'new players' experiences. I think for most players it's just up to preference right and as you said most of both games (except the top 2-5% of activities) it doesn't really matter what your build is. Thats the point where my original comment came from. Both games are fantastic and both have issues. My preference will always be warframe over destiny but thats a personal preference which i'm sure taints my overall view haha appreciate your willingness to dialogue as well. I think that also is a difference in the two communities as well I've always felt you can have these discussions in the warframe community where as I usually (again in my own experience) have pretty toxic conversations if I'm brave enough to comment on destiny content haha
@@shanemoody529 yeah, incarnon have a time gate to get... but if its such a massive issue, just farm relics, sell the stuff and buy with platinum instead.
more importantly, incarnon torid is not THE op weapon everyone need, its one amazing weapon. but the game has so many other far easier to get you might never even bother getting it in the first place because you dont need it.
Bro understood the movement in the first minutes of gameplay that's so sick
Fr He's a Prodigy lmao
I wonder if he has played boomer shooters before. I remember in my very first hours I was experimenting with the movement. It felt amazing when I discovered you can roll immediately after bullet jumping. Legit feeling myself when I was beating higher MRs to extraction 😂. Then I found people who have parkour velocity, eye opening stuff.
To this day I still remember when one guy taught me you can aim glide for a couple seconds after rolling or bullet jumping and keep momentum. It was one of those corpus tilesets where there's a long void you have to glide over. I couldn't do it with just bullet jumping and rolling. That small tech changed how I moved as, when you roll and start aim gliding you keep the momentum of the roll for like a second and the lose that momentum, if you kept close to the ground you could just spam them as there's no cooldown, aim gliding also gave you more control . Nowadays I can roll once and get to each platform.
You actually believe he didn’t try this first lol
never found this movement complicated or something. The opposite I've found it extremely good idk how to describe it but it just felt so flawless and smooth from the very first minute for me.
The beauty of warframe, is that you don't always have to go for the most conventional high DPS builds or wahtever. There are so many crazy combinations that people are still making up some fun builds. And sure , some of them won't be viable against lvl 9999 enemies, but 0.01% of playerbase stays that long in missions anyway.
I think i might be in that 0.01% 😂
The "problem" with the new player experience is that you have limited inventory slots. It's recommended to use your starting 50 plat for 1 warframe slot and 2 sets of weapon slots.
There are a lot of side stories in the very early game, but the main narrative doesn't meaningfully start until you reach planet Uranus.
Wish I knew that lmao I waste all my plat in rushing stupid ass weapons, but now I have over 400p so it was a valuable lesson lmao
Yep, I hope they add more slots for new players, it will give them more breathing space.
@@JoshTwistYT Yea, they give the first catalyst/reactor at junctions, but new players should have at least 3 frame slots and 10 weapon slots.
There are three games I will NEVER stop playing, and warframe is at the top of the list; it’s an extremely hard game to get into and many consider it a pay to win however it is definitely worth it. I will always continue to support the game
Welcome to a game with true movement freedom, also make sure you open the settings/options and learn your melee weapon combos, every different melee weapon has different combos, and they take your melee weapon from “standard close range weapon option” to “absolute swirling room clearing death bringer”.
wait until he unlocks some of the speed frames, or titania.
All the combos are the same bro, just press the same key over again
@@SantiagoLopez-uu6uk I haven’t played in a while, did they change it?
The combos used to be different depending on what type of melee you had equipped, (daggers, swords,, glaives, etc.) plus the combos would differ depending on what stance mod you had equipped on said weapon.
@@usmc4good i mean the buttoms are the same, but animations depends on style mod, not weapon itself
@@usmc4good they got rid of combos a few years ago i think?? i mean theres stuff u can do that's considered a combo but no just slashing and bringing up the combo counter is the only thing u have to worry about. And ofc there's the stance mods. they can make ur wepon slower, faster, or just be ok, but either way not too much goes in melee combat now.
Welcome to the game, there's room in the Warframe youtube space for build guides, but there are a handful of popular names you'll be competing with and you're way behind, but it's definitely feasible to think you could eventually do the same as well, but I would recommend watching a few of the bigger names build guides so that you know the space you'd be getting into first.
Brozime, McGamerCZ put out popular mass appeal guides, Aznvasionplays and Kengineer come from a more in depth and technical view, and then there are some others more niche ones as well, I'd recommend looking at what those creators do before hopping into the deep end.
That said, there's also a ton of space for what you're doing right now, the Warframe community loves new players, and loves watching people experience things for the first time, I recommend capturing the big quests for youtube content as well.
bro discovering bullet jump like a true warframe player
You’re gonna love Warframe. There’s so much build potential and cool gameplay interactions I’ve been playing Warframe for 11 years
honestly watching this entire video really made me smile, just seeing someone actually enjoy the game, but also how helpful the community are to new players
Been playing for years and it gets crazier with each frame that they drop. Happy to see you finally trying it out.
I actually love nidus ( I stopped playing 2 years ago) and goddamn if done right he has infinite health
@@Swaggmire215I still remember Brozime's Nidus testing he did on stream and seeing him accidentally entering the testing ring with an unmodded Nidus and soloing a bunch of high armor and health enemies with out breaking a sweat. Completely unkillable.

Really happy to see you playing Warframe. I always heard the D2 comparisons for years but once I actually dove in I realized they both scratch completely different itches and have their own strengths. Looking forward to seeing you post more WF hopefully!
a tip for you from me as a veteran: learn the damage system as soon as possible. will make alot of things easier
I been playing since law of retribution raids and I still barely understand them lmao
@@jaidenpugh9532 well, i had the more easy way, i've been playing it since ~6months after release and back then de dmg system was simple to understand. From time to time they added more and more complexity to it.
i play this game very on and off over the years and i remember when i started playing (just before gara/plains update) i was a bit overwhelmed so i ended up looking up builds for weapons and frames i wanted to try. It was always dmg with viral builds that i saw so now i still only build with viral because im still unsure if need to have different loadouts for my weapons for like corpus shields etc.
The difference between status build and crit build is absolutely crucial to understand
@@henqjuhhyou generally want to cater to each faction to make it easier. While viral is "meta"(now with recent element changes)any element can technically work. But it's best to "match" on the enemy. For enemies like Grineer; corrosive, viral, and slash are good cause it best towards armor and penning to health. Corpus; you can still run viral, but late game stuff you want to run things like magnetic, shock, and toxin. These aren't inherently exclusively used on these factions 100%. You can get away with using the wrong element(s), but it still a good note what works "best" on what
It brings me so much joy seeing a new WF player for the first time, and enjoying the game on top of that. Welcome, Tenno.
So from what I remember from years ago Mac is there is a few Build type Content avenues to explore but the main thing I remember watching was always Fashion Frame Content. The level of Cosmetic Customization is insane that you could easily get lost in the menu and not realize hours have gone by.
You’re insanely wrong about build types being mostly explored, every single update the mechanics added break some stuff hard, and with every unkillable mob there comes a one-shot build… warframe changes so abruptly sometimes, it’s hard to keep updated
@@israelpaterno8353 exactly. warframe gives enough freedom where there are builds that will focus on a particular ability. like for example, i play my volt as a melee focused frame, while my friend play his as a mass CC. there are frames who's builds are too focused on a single skill, sure. but there are enough frames that you can just pick one and make multiple builds for it alone.
and that's before we add helminth. for example, i love my vaulban and i used spectrorage in place of his 3rd. and i make use of it constantly, to combo with his vortex to generate borderline infinite amounts of energy for the party. barely touching his 1 or 2.
there may be a "perfect build" but that doesnt mean, you cant find your own niche variant that does something that offers more fun, while still being usefull.
@@marcosdheleno must remember that with the recent elemental rework people are confused and using the same 5 year old builds :p
@@niconicoshi It throws me off so much that puncture damage is no longer a weakness for the Grineer. 😭
Welcome to Warframe! Great intro video. It was fun to see your experience and hear your questions and reactions. As others have said, many of us long-time players enjoy seeing the experience of new players. DE has greatly improved the new player experience so some complaints you might still hear are out-of-date. But there are still challenges and it is pretty normal for the community to help new players along, generally respectfully of how much help they want. My standard advice is not to be in a rush to "finish" the game or learn everything right away. The journey is part of the fun. LIke training in real martial arts, you practice and learn news skills over time on your way to becoming a "master".
Last thing, just keep in mind build videos require owning and having levelled many more items in Warframe than they would in Destiny. The builds include a lot of things you won’t have yet, and I won’t spoil, as is true with the rest of the community. However, there is most certainly space for new player guides. There is a massive opportunity there.
After playing WF for close to 10 years, i love seeing a new person learn the game, its a great time.
10 years wow, I want to give it a try but I'm not sure yet

First of all, I love your Destiny videos. When I found your videos you describe builds in an approachable but detailed way that I hadn't seen before. I understand the build system way better than I did before watching you - thank you.
Lately I've been trying to get into Warframe and I really hope you dive in because I think you'll help me understand it better too.
this is what i love to see, a newbie who actually uses their brain to figure out how the game works within the first couple levels. i mean im sure it depends whether the person comes from shooter or mmo games or not. but i loved how you were putting 2 and 2 together and figuring out the UI system
God yes! Much Love for him, and godspeed for all newbs but ngl Sometimes people are a Bit dense with the Tutorial (fair though I remember needing a good sec to get everything together but then I was zoomin)
oh that purity and enjoyment of your first time playing the game, bring back memories, now every missions is basically a souless speedrun
I got an idea! Most build guides and other things are for people on the later side of the game, but since you’re an experienced “build guider” and you’ve just started the game you might be able to make early builds to help people get through the game to the endgame stuff. I’m sure there’ll be plenty of people looking to warframe coming from destiny and it’ll help those people too. I have around 900 hours in this game and still don’t entirely know what I’m doing, so I’ll be looking to you in the future for some builds, keep up the good work and welcome to the warframe community 🎉
It's so cool to see new Warframe players being immediately shocked and amazed by the variety in gameplay mechanics, they feel so refreshing and engaging, not many videogames ignite those feelings anymore
Mactics bringing his build energy to Warframe would be peak.
FACTS
Honestly there's a million guide creators for Warframe already, but we could always use more. Some people just bring a fresh eye to things and if Mactics can do that then he'll be a great WF content creator.

Love to see someone who immedaitely sees how insanely crazy the movement in this game can be. And hes seen nothing yet haha. a few hours in and youre fucking ZOOMING through levels its so sick!
Hey, Mac!
It's nice to see you finally try and enjoy Warframe! Before playing Destiny 2, I had more than a thousand hours on Warframe and I agree that the rookie experience of Warframe is somehow too much with all the stuff that's going on but, once you get the hang of it, you're in for a lot of fun!
As for build guides, those of some of the Warframe content creators I follow mostly require a good grasp of what's going on in the game and they can be overwhelming for someone starting out. Sadly, this could cause the new player to just drop the game altogether.
That's where you and your build guides can come in. The level of quality and intricacy you put into your guides is just awesome and they're the reason I stayed, enjoyed, and learned the in and outs of build-crafting in D2.
So, if you ever reach the point you start making build guides for Warframe, I'm sure they'll be just as great and helpful for new and old players alike. Definitely looking forward to it!
Man I just love watching new players in Warframe. There are so many amazing surprises and moments waiting for you as you explore this amazing crazy game
As someone who's gone deep on builds for both Destiny and Warframe, I don't feel like the same level of depth and quality I see in your build videos in Warframe build videos. Many of them assume some amount of prior knowledge about how certain mechanics or systems work (likely because there are a lot of them), so I'm excited to see what your build videos for Warframe would be like!
Yeah it's very hard for returning players because of the constant updates to the game. Everytime I return to the game I'm completely lost.
@@Luke973T as someone who has been playing this game very on and off, you just kinda roll with it and hope for the best. luckily you can basically get everything you want to know from the community

The mactics warframe build guides are gonna go crazy
You are going to have so much fun with this game, there are SO many things you can do.
there’s almost no limit to what you can do with this game.
Warframe has a lots of mods for frames and weapons, I think before making guides; reach end game(for an overhead view of the whole game) and see what other peoples bulids are like as an refernce ponit .
So glad you're giving this game a try, one of muly favorites, but I do know the starting experience can be hard, so if anyone wants any help feel free to ask around, we have a very new player friendly community.
Warframe builds can take a lot of time to come together when you first start, as theres a lot of content you need to get through to unlock the good mods, so heres a quick list.
Corrupted mods; they drastically increase one of your frame's ability stats while penalizing another. To get them, pick up some dragon keys (gear item) from the orokin lab (shop) in your dojo (clan housing) and equip them in your gear wheel before traveling off to the place called "Horend" on deimos, thats where you're more likely to run into others looking to get some corrupted mods.
Archon mods; same thing as a "primed" mod, aka a stronger version of simple mods like continuity or flow. Archon mods also have a secondary effect that could be used for a very nice build, like "abilities that apply heat will apply twice" or "enemies killed by cold-damage abilities have a small chance to drop an energy orb" etc. Downside is they require completion of the new war quest, which ah em er eeeeeh good luck.
Finally, the aforementioned primed mods. Just open some relics (essentially a lootbox) grab any prime parts you get from them and sell them to the ducat kiosk in a relay for currency you can use to buy primed mods from baro ki'teer, (xur but far more infrequent) he stops by every other weekend and you should get an inbox message when he does drop by!
-----
Alternatively you could just spend some $$$ for platinum and trade that to other players for the mods you need but well 😅
Corrupted mods are 10p each roughly best to buy them save yourself the boring grind.
Prime mods and archon mods are the ones that are expensive but you don't need them till steel path so no hurry.
To all new players from a 1500h vet just focus on crafting stuff and getting to mastery 16 while doing quests in-between.
Also ask for an older player yo carry you through the INDEX to get you started on credits cause you gonna need a fk ton early game for all the blueprints.
I see you comment everywhere. It's cool that you also play WF. XD @@fotis3v480

Absolutely the more build guides the better, it enriches the experience for everyone and there's so many vastly different ways to play each frame that you can basically never go wrong
Just wait untill you unlock steel path, that's where the good stuff begins, I highly recommend you start with duviri quest ASAP, it unlocks weapons, warframes etc. Steel path can be unlocked by completing every node on a planet (steel path adds +100 base levels to enemies and extra procent loot chance etc etc) that's just enabeling it, After that there's a bunch more gameplay that unlocks for you too. Hope this was helpfull
Glad u decided to try it I’ve been a Tenno since day 1 your gonna love it
Recently just got addicted to war frame and just found out how to trade, now I’m making my first prime war frame ! Subbed *
Just got back into warframe after a few years it’s nice still seeing it get attention. The amount of content and things to do is unreal.
The thing I always tell new players is to push through any growing pains at the beginning few hours. Gets a little repetitive and the game doesn't have a lot of clear direction. Then you make it to Uranus and the story really really takes off. Arguably the game truly begins after that point.
There are many creators in the space, but with so much content being released and with every major update, more creators chiming in and giving their perspective and builds would certainly be welcomed by the community. Sometimes I watch goofy build guides for fun. There's so much to talk about and would love to see your wf videos
Important tip:
Your main objective as a new player is to complete the star chart & complete the quests, Once you complete the star chart you will have access to nearly every "End game" activity. Some quests are optional (Will give you a frame at the end of quest) Some quests are mandatory for vanilla "completion"
(I say this because they have added some new quests after the main story line kinda concluded)
While you are completing the star chart planet to planet use any & every weapon you find & rank each weapon up to max, this is because the Affinity you get for lvling weapons adds to your character MASTERY lvl, You will want to get your mastery rank higher because then you can build/use better weapons. (you can only increase your mastery rank by using new weapons & lvling them up to max lvl, once a weapon is max lvl it will no longer gain affinity towards your MASTERY rank)
If you go to a RELAY (Public area with vendors, players) lvl 30 mastery ranks have the option to BLESS players to give them a Affinity boost or resource boost amongst other things, if you hang around or ask in chat they might bless you.
Keep an eye on the TRADE chat while you play, some people sell PRIME frames for really cheap, TRADING is a big part of Warframe & not always looked at as P2W as the primes are basically just cosmetic being as the buff is so small.
The old war & the NEW WAR quests are very good
You can make a CLAN & have a DOJO which is a physical space you BUILD, it can be huge with different rooms, rooms can be decorated (Like your ship)
You will have a long way to go to get to what is classed as endgame, but it is worth it.
Have fun!
Warms my heart to see a new player experience the mobility in this game
It’s so fun :3
I played Warframe for 20 minutes about two years ago and loved every minute of it. I finally spent a week giving it a solid chance, and oh man, this game is underrated!
I definitely think there's room for quality build guide videos. Especially from the "new player" building up perspective. There's a bunch of new mechanics that returning players may not even recognize. This game got a major facelift and some good videos to follow and help work through it would be a huge asset to the community.
I would totally watch a build guide of yours, just watching a noob like me playing and asking questions to the chat already clarified a lot of concepts for me lol keep also making “road to pro” gameplays so we can understand the mechanics 👍🏻👍🏻
I'm very much looking forward to seeing you progress. I have a friend getting started, just passed Europa junction, mr6 and I'm waiting for both of you now to get to second dream and experience the story
The game has a vast lore and many sinematic quests. People enjoy seeing first time tenno going through these stories and re-live them with a streamer. You deffinatelly have space for both builds, playing them against lvl cap enemies, and do quest playthroughs with reactions. I think this is a working formula for warframe streaming.
100%, "Newbies first time playing through the Second Dream" may as well be a youtube category at this point, I love that stuff.
Making build guides for your community would probably be a great way to get more people interested in the game, especially if you bring up where to go to farm for specific things needed for the build.
What makes warframe great is the flexibility in its mod system. That alone allows you to make fun and powerful builds.
It then goes to the extreme once you unlock Arcanes, helminth and archon shards.
Enjoy the game! Look forward to seeing more of your vids.
congratulations on joining a game with one of the best, most helpful communities! i’ve been playing since closed beta so i take breaks but i always come back because this game has the best power fantasy and movement of any looter shooter. if you ever find yourself stuck, check out the wiki or just ask in game, there’s a channel for that. my first suggestion is don’t forget about the market, it’s not just for mtx but also blueprints for weapons and frames can be purchased there as well. if you’re not leveling weapons, you’re not increasing your mastery rank which gives you several benefits in the game.
4:04 - Welcome to Warframe.
As someone who's played Warframe on and off since the beginning (a Founder too!) I get so excited watching people come in to enjoy a game I've spent so much of my life in. PLEASE continue to upload your gameplay, or at least little updates on how things are going and your experience in the game. ;) Especially once you start getting to the story quests later. ;)
was able to catch you streaming warframe last week and downloaded the game. truly a breath of fresh air like you said. keep it rolling, Tenno
Love seing quality content of someone starting with very little/no idea of the game
I genuinely believe if you make warframe guides with the same energy and love you put in the destiny guides, you will make your place in the warframe creator space. You have a certain energy to your videos that I think the warframe community would love
There are other players who do build videos for Warframe. But I'd watch your videos too, I've used many builds of yours for Destiny. They were always easy to understand and follow. It's awesome to see Waframe get more recognition and new players! Our community is awesome
Been playin Warframe for ages. Cool to see you enjoying it. As for build guides, I think approaching it from a “So, you’re a D2 player trying Warframe for the first time” angle might work best for you. There are established WF creators who do endgame builds already. But if you bring your talents and video style from Destiny and help others like you to enjoy this universe as you experience it chronologically it might be more successful. “Come with me and let’s dive in” type of approach. And the one thing Warframe fans love is watching people experience it for the first time and helping out with tips. Looking forward to seeing how you approach it 👍
i love love LOVE seeing so many new people discover Warframe for the first time. i've been playing the game since it's closed beta, back in 2012 (12 years.... holy shit lol) and it's consistently been the game i come back to more than any other. i end up taking prolonged breaks in between their big content updates, but never due to a lack of love for the game.
During missions, you can press and hold TAB button to bring up affinity and resources collected screen anytime that you typically get at end of mission. It's great way of tracking what you've collected so far during the mission.
A lot of Warframe players myself included, always look for videos of people going through the main quests for the first time. For quest and story related stuff I recommend filtering spoilers. As for build guides, there's always space for showing off off-meta unique builds.
Welcome new guy, the best place to farm Affinity is Gabii in Ceres, it is a lone ship at the bottom side of the planet. If you have an affinity booster, it gets a lot easier to level up your weapons, even more so when the Eximus enemies start spawning at the 10 minute mark.
If you want a bonus, Warframes like Gara will really help with her glass walls.
I recently got back into the game and am absolutely addicteded there is so much to do and just amazing gameplay. Just found your channel and cant wait for more warframe
love seeing more people pick up Warframe, best community ive ever seen and devs that care about their game and players, def check out one of their dev streams!
Started playing warframe recently too and finally unlocked my first non-starter frame! Hildryn prime is really good, loving the massive shield and have been keeping my friends alive for a long time! Paired with garuda prime, you can even get some nice heals which can keep your team full on health as well!
Hey! Been following you for D2 content for a long time and as a D2 and Warframe player I'm excited to see you explore Warframe and release new videos. I'll be there for the ride
I will 100% join a clan if Mac makes one. This will bring me back to warframe. Not that I left from distaste I just got really far in the game and took a break for a few months. Happy to see someone new. Welcome tenno
If you do decide to make warframe build guides, I'd appreciate it if you did like three kinds of builds:
1: A "I just got this frame and have no resources, here's a good build with what you probably have and if you are missing parts here's where to get them" build
2: A "I'm in the midgame, I got a few things and can get more with time and effort, here's a decent build that will see you though most things" build.
3: A "I am a leet warframe gamer with everything pretty much, here is the best possible build, it will carry though the games hardest stuff." build.
A lot of people only do 3 or two, or worse, disguse a 3 or 2 as a one.
Welcome to warframe man, it’s a great game. I recommend you check out how Raxx engaged with path of exile. He was a Diablo refugee and couldn’t really compete with build guides yet so instead he focused on bringing new people on, sharing his true beginner experience. I imagine that would be great for you and for the game while you learn and build up to being able to make builds.
Definitely do guides! I moved to Warframe after I got burned out and sick of D2, and the thing that's missing from TH-cam is new player guides by newer players. There's a million systems in Warframe to increase your power from mods to arcanes to primes to archon shards to faction levels, and for the veterans it's hard to remember what it's like to know nothing. I just focused on one system at a time until I mastered it or maxed it out, then moved on to learning a new one. You could make great videos teaching new players as you learn!
So, Affinity is the exp for leveling up weapons and warframes, which will unlock their other abilities and greater mod capacity for modding them. Once you reach 30 with a frame or weapon, this will advance your mastery rank progress (MR) which is used to unlock some buffs, new weapons, and other things. To progress MR, you NEED to play with more frames and weapons, its designed to help you explore the game more.
You need credits to unlock new frames in the market or you need to farm them in certain quests
You DO NOT need to use plat, or feel pressured into buying it. ALL frames and weapons can be farmed in game.
Man, watching you go through all this for the first time warms my heart
I've been playing this game for almost 9 years now. So happy that the new players keep rolling in!
I am a new sub but veteran to warframe player. I like the new player energy you have. I hope u can bring more players to the game. The game has a high learning curve but the community is always willing to help.
I would see every single build vid, not because i need it, but because i love your content. Hell you can post a meme comp of warframe and i’ll watch it
