Thank you for another fun video! Once again it's heartwarming to hear the guys working together. Chip did a great job producing and I think he's a great bass player.
I'm pretty certain the uncredited guitar and backing vocal was Keith Allison. Keith mentioned this in an interview here on TH-cam. He was good friends with The Monkees, particularly fellow Texan, Mike Nesmith, and co-wrote/played on Auntie's Municipal Court.
The Monkees were my favorite group all through Jr. high and I still listen to them. However, listening now as a 50 yr old, I do see how amateurish their arrangements are..very simple. I still love them though.

Love the piano in this. So fun. Peter was so freaking talented. And the instrumental sounds quite a bit different without the vocals.
Mickey rock the socks off of this one
Davy really should have been the drummer. The steadiness and power in his tambourine playing proves his excellent sense of timing.
Yes he is a very underrated percussionist
I wonder if the high voice is Coco Dolenz. I'm pretty sure Chip Douglas is a backing vocalist as well.
I'm wanting to say that the extra guitar MAY be Peter. It sounds very much like his playing style.
