Thank you for your willingness to share. I had a “close encounter” with male breast cancer several years ago. Turned out I didn’t have it, but in the process found out that the mortality rate is pretty high for men....because we don’t talk about it! Awareness is so important! Good on you Parris! Hang in there. You are a good man!
Thanks Orren! And men are definitely reticent to talk about illnesses (I think we are worried about seeming weak). The exception being football injuries and torn ACLs. Groin pulls- I guess that could go either way. I am glad your cancer scare turned out okay. Men would definitely be better off not keeping so much to ourselves.
What great news!! I was so happy to see your subject line. I was also happy to see how much better you seem. You are back to the Parris we all know and love. I hope everything works out that you can get this procedure done and it is covered. I will definitely continue to keep you in my prayers. Please let us know what you find out. God bless you!
First! So happy to hear good news from you. Looking forward to many more videos! Also, never worry about being picky about your own care. I'm an LPN and everyone is on a different journey in life and so each situation is so unique
Thanks Dana! People do have different priorities and preferences for their care. I just wish it were easier to know what all the options are- it really takes a lot of research.
Your improved energy and health is really shining through this video! I was just thinking about you, I hope your wellness journey continues to be full of good news.
Great to hear all the good news Mr. Parris!! Hope you can get the treatment you want, and I wouldn't think that you're picky to want a potentially better quality of life for yourself. BTW, loving the new wall pattern!
Thanks José! I know it is not unreasonable to want the best treatment to reduce the long term side effects. But I can't seem to help feeling like someone who was worried about losing their job and when they found out their job was secure they say "And I'd like a raise and a corner office, too." 😊
@@parristx "And throw in a fancy company car while you're at it" 😁 Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. Though, in my humble opinion, I don't think one can be too greedy when it comes to their health. Well, I guess unless it hurts someone else in the process, but one thing I can assure you is that it won't be hurting the doctors 🤑💰
I'm so happy you are ok. You make the x-ray therapy sound like Mexican food, it goes right through you. My wife and I are happy with the good news. When is your next shower video.... Lol we love you man. Hope you and your family are doing great.
Thank you! And the X-rays going right through you isn't so bad if you don't have any important structures in its path- but with the prostate you definitely do!
Thanks Ross! Austin to Dallas isn't a very scenic drive but I will see how commuting goes. If I am having some fatigue (a possible side effect with radiation treatment) I might do as you suggest- drive up on Monday for my first treatment of the week and then back home to Austin after my Friday treatment and stay in Dallas those four weeknights.
This is great news!!! You may want to look at staying in an extended stay or something like that to avoid having to drive so much, especially if you will have treatment daily. Nonetheless, I am praying for remission and recovery. 🙏🙏
So glad that its good news! Great to hear you're feeling so much better. You seem a lot more up beat now. Love the nasa shirt too. Can I make an off topic suggestion? Please change the background you're using. Its a little too 'loud' like an optical illusion and makes me feel nauseous. I had to shut my eyes and just listen to this video rather than watch it as it was hurting my eyes and giving me a headache. It is really cool, but as you move around in front of it, its rather distracting. I much prefer your old set up. (Honest feedback rather than criticism, from a long term subscriber) 😊
Thank you! And sorry the background had that effect. Some patterns just don't work well on video. I got some discount fabric at the store to try out and went a little wild with that one. 😊 I will try out my solid color backgrounds instead. Thanks for letting me know!

SO HAPPY for you! So much good news! I wish you luck on your proton consult! Fingers crossed! You look really great!
Thanks so much Samantha!
As long as you and your wife agree on which route you are comfortable with, thats all that matters. Prayers. So glad for the good news.
Thanks! I am doing week 4 of my Proton Beam radiation therapy in Dallas right now. Almost halfway through!
Awesome new praying for best results 🙏
Thank you!
So happy to hear this update Parris !!!!! Continued prayers for great news from here on out !
Thanks so much!
Awesome news!
Thank you!
Good to hear that you’re doing and feeling better! 😎
Thanks Elvira!

Thank you! I hope they will let me record in the facility- all the technology for Proton Therapy sounds so cool.

let’s go! happy to hear this, can’t wait to hear that it’s totally sure you’re cancer free
Thank you! To get that "cancer free" designation I think takes a couple years of my PSA staying low. Keeping fingers crossed for that. 🤞🤞
Your improved energy and health is really shining through this video! I was just thinking about you, I hope your wellness journey continues to be full of good news.

Great news Sir... happy for you...
may God bless you with perfect health and happiness❤️❤️

@@parristx yeah two or three depending on how lucky you are.😏
Prayers to you and your family.
Thanks Shawna!
I just found one of your videos after not seeing you for over a year. I had no idea you had cancer but I’m glad to see you’re doing well ❤️
Thanks Kay! I am up in Dallas now for Proton Beam radiation therapy. Almost halfway though. Then hopefully no more videos on the topic. 😁
Prayers for further good news :-)
Thank you! Will be posting another update shortly. 👍👍
CONGRATS, PARRIS!!! I AM TRULY HAPPY FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!
One suggestion: Rent a temporary apartment in Dallas to avoid the daily commute.
Thanks Ross! Austin to Dallas isn't a very scenic drive but I will see how commuting goes. Thanks so much. I will try out commuting first but if I find I am becoming a tired, distracted driver I will get a place to stay up there.
Keep it up! You've been through high-standard treatment route. Excellent job! Best wishes for many happy and healthy years and years...
Great news🎉🤩🥳
Thanks Mark!

Cool video tech talk lol yes ok
Thanks Scotty.
@@parristx your welcome
Use intermittent fasting to prevent cancer from coming back.
I don't think it's being spoiled at all. What about the women facing prostate cancer.😁
