Great job mate. Ray’s looking a million dollars now. Just a tip that may come in handy. If you’re plugging screw holes for re-drilling, use bamboo skewers from the supermarket. Plentiful, bamboo is very strong and they are a consistent 4mm diameter. I also use them for dowels when joining small wooden parts. 👍🇦🇺
Thanks you so much. I have your "not enough time" issue as well. I have about a 40 items backlog of rusty stuff that needs my attention. Managed to finish up an old S-K ratchet yesterday. 39 to go!!!
I found this at a moving sale (moving to a retirement home). It was dusty but hadn’t been used much. Only $50. It’s perfect for my needs. It’s old enough that Ryobi doesn’t have replacement parts. I bought a spare belt on Amazon that was almost too long.
Ohhh Rayyyyy !!! Love ur work my friend 👍👍👍
Thank you my friend.

Thank you my friend. That’s an excellent suggestion and I actually have some bamboo skewers in my kitchen.
Nice work. I'm sure Ray appreciated it.
Thank you.
Nicely done! 😃👌🏼
Thanks you so much. Appreciate the kind words.
Ray turned out great! I like the addition of the brass screws!
Thank you my friend.
Some guys clean up better than others, Ray came out looking really nice 👍
Truth my friend.
Awesome job.
Thank you. It was a smooth project.
I wondered why the extra step of filling the screw holes. Were the screws loose or not holding the plate? Very nice job on the polishing.
Yes, original steel screws were very rusted and the screws holes were not solid wood anymore. Wanted to recreate
...recreate a solid place for the new brass screws to bite into.
What an improvement! That level desperately needs a "W". lol
Thanks so much Bud.
Nice work. I've got a few of these I need to restore as well. I just never seem to find the time to get into the shop enough!

How do you like your Ryobi drill press?
I’m thinking of getting one.
