Luke Sal it’s because he’s in Accra. In Accra, Cape Coast , Sekondi Takoradi they eat a lot of fish because they are coastal cities and the people there are traditionally fishermen. If he goes inland towards the forest areas the food will be different
I’m Jamaica and I love Ghanaian food everything is good except fufu can’t get use to that but the fried yams and fish with pepper and Shito 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋March made in heaven.
Jamaican here 🙋🏽♀️ a little food history for u...our west African ancestors during slavery adapted fufu into what we Jamaicans know and love as boil dumplin by using what was local and available such as cassava and flour
As a Jamaican a lot of our cooking culture and techniques originated with our west African ancestors such as: Stew fish, stew chicken, stew peas, escovitch, ackee, plantain, okra, season rice, dumplin.... I did my ancestry DNA and my African ancestry is mostly Ghanaian and Nigerian
You have to swallow the fufu and try small bits at a time. I used to dislike it when I was a kid. I like it now that I am older. The soup must taste great for you to enjoy it.
This trip to Ghana and Kenya in Africa has really made me reflect on what at least for me has been a narrow experience. Most geography and social studies for me was in Jr. High School in the first half of the 1970s and the only touch point educationally on Africa. The curricula as I remember it was very North America, Europe, and U.S.S.R. focused. Asia was mostly "we beat Japan in WW-II, and China is a big communist danger!" Africa was "a backward continent that has big predatory animals, Morocco and Egypt." I don't recall even covering anything south of Mexico. Now, this was never satisfying for me, and my whole life I have nurtured any international friend I could make and career-wise I traveled over 2M miles. Everywhere but Africa (it wasn't up to me - my company did little business in Africa, relatively speaking). Certainly my own reading and armchair exploration has been broader, but clearly, there is an enormous amount to see and understand in Africa including the food! This beautiful planet it so big, that no matter where you start, you still miss a whole bunch. The start of a late-life list includes Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Tanzania, South Africa, and that's not thinking very hard. Lots to look forward to!
JacquiMukoowu2012 Thank you Jacqui! I only didn’t mention west Africa because I am so ignorant about the region, I don’t know which areas are best to visit! I’m saying this to show how little many Americans like me know (not to brag about being ignorant on the subject). Perhaps I should as a start add to my summer reading list... All that said, east Africa looks amazing!

J’ai trop envie d’aller au GHANA 🇬🇭❤️ que du love pour vous les GHANÉENS 😘
Hi
The people of Ghana are just amazing and so friendly.
Wow. Never know Ghana love fish so much. Absolutely beautiful country, beautiful people and beautiful food 👍🤓
Luke Sal it’s a coastal country compared to some of the other countries in mana Africa so I think that’s partly why ...
Luke Sal it’s because he’s in Accra. In Accra, Cape Coast , Sekondi Takoradi they eat a lot of fish because they are coastal cities and the people there are traditionally fishermen. If he goes inland towards the forest areas the food will be different
I’m Jamaica and I love Ghanaian food everything is good except fufu can’t get use to that but the fried yams and fish with pepper and Shito 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋March made in heaven.
we love you too
Fufu is the best
That's my motherland and I'm also from Accra 😀 now live in London. Glad you enjoyed Ghana.
Real home made food my Ancestors where take from Ghana to Jamaica I can't wait to return after 400 years
Real Yardie ✊🏽💯🥰
Please return, there is nothing left in Babylon anymore. Return to Ghana are be ready to live like a human being.

Hi! I love your videos so much! It makes me want to travel to all these places!! Keep up the good work!! Lots of Love from the Philippines!! ❣️👏❣️👏
Those chaps at Heavy Bo were delightful.. And so proud of the food. You know you do it well when locals can't stop raving about it. Fun!
Welcome to Kenya. If you have an open mind, you will not be disappointed.
Marc McKenzie you are most welcome to Kenya.karibu Kenya.you will enjoy your visit and also the delicacies that we have.
