If only Kurt played Tele's more. Could you imagine if Nirvana made a fourth studio album with Kurt playing a tele?! Anyways, that replica is awesome, and you did a great job reviewing it 🙌
@@kingcreates1379 He did not, as the Courtney Tele was out of commission and broken beyond repair in Jan 93. He didn't receive his second Tele until late 93, and Earnie didn't mod it for him until 94.
The Courtney Telecaster is my favourite Kurt Guitar. I love the colour and i feel like Kurt would've loved Tele pickups for tonal purposes as they are so great for the bright cleans and punchy saturated dirt tones are very alike to the tones seen in the 91 and late 92 leg of the Nevermind tour
Bro- bro- bro! I love this! The guitar, the tone, the short and kinda mysterious history of the guitar, just all of it! I can't express how happy I am to see this guitar here, or even know that Kurt used a Telecaster until your last video and now meet and get to know the guitar more. Keep it up man, your tones and you bringing more known guitars to light is always amazing and surprising
your passion for the subject is infectious. I was at the Auckland BDO when CL gave her guitar to someone in the crowd. a fine subject indeed, your content is awesome dude keep it up, from nz
Watching these videos has stunned me. Nirvana really hits different. These videos have even inspired me to get a guitar, and I am currently trying to learn!
Thanks for your shows! I always watch with great pleasure. I especially like to see the pedals and their settings. Please always show the amplifier settings too. Good luck
If Khristore used the Harley Benton TE-52 model, for 70 dollars more you would have a guitar with string through body feature and the right machine heads, way better than the ones you have on that guitar. I'm saying this because I own one. Pickup-wise we're talking about the same pickups, so, no extra juice there. To be honest, those Roswell stock pickups on that telecaster line are simply perfect! I haven't replaced the ones on my guitar and I will definitely keep them there! Excellent video and excellent playing!!!! Kurt would be proud!
Honestly it looks absolutely stunning. And I can attest to the quality of Harley Benton guitars, I bought this exact model in the classic wood finish just to trial if I liked how a tele played and I was blown away, for the price it honestly plays phenomenally out of the box, even better with some mods. Plus I’ve since bought a MIM tele and it runs circles round it for a fraction of the price
Dude I love your channel so much, it inspired me to want to play guitar and also to know the story behind each instrument that passed through Kurt's hands. A big hug from Brazil, I hope you have a great life.
Just like the differences between the small clones from the 90s then the small clones from now Kurt is the small clone from the 90s and everyone else is the small clones from now there is a difference he could not of imagined a channel like yours and I love your channel man
GOD I love your vids SO MUCH man!!!! The little solo bit sounded great, I love how passionate you are over Kurt’s art and the tools he used to make it with. Keep going are far as your heart’s content can take you, you’re amazing!!!! ❤
I remember talking to you a while back on a stream about what guitars you didn't have & I remember you mentioning this guitar. I'm very glad you were able to finally get your hands on a Courtnry telecaster. I also have to agree with what you said about Khristore's attention to detail. I've seen his guitars on his store & your reviews on them & they're the most accurate replicas I've ever seen. I'm planning to save up for one of his MTV Unplugged D-18e replicas because of how realistic & great it looks (though it'll probably take me a while since they cost about $2,000 lol) Anyways, I enjoyed your review/demo & hope you have a great day. Enjoy your new guitar!
I am so happy to finally have this one! Like I say in the video, I honestly thought this is one I would never have because it's such a specific look. I'm so excited to have this!! I've partnered with Chris on his amazing Unplugged sets too. Coupon code "KurtsFullSet100" gets you $100 off the full guitar & case set, and "KurtsCase50" gets you $50 off the case by itself. I know those are not a lot in the big picture but hoping they can help you out a little bit when it comes time to purchase 😊 Thank you so much for the support, the kind words and for watching!! 🙏
That Tele sounds great, those guitars honestly suit him pretty well but I loved that jam you did after Drain You. Definitely sounds reminiscent of John Frusciante and I love it, great job as always man
Are you going to cover the Greco/ Jesus Mustangs sometime in the approximate future? Those are my favourite Kurt Guitars due to their aesthetic. Plus Khristore sells both of them, so maybe you guys could do another collaboration? That would be incredibly awesome. Oh and gr8 video btw!
That looks and sounds amazing! I’ve been kicking myself for selling my Cobain jaguar and 50th anniversary jaguar before moving to the states, I might have to pick up one of these!
Telecasters have a very specific tone, I have a telecaster kit that I bought for $55 and yet I can still get good tones out of it. You made me want to buy that Courtney Kelly more. It sounds really good. I wish Kurt used it more❤.
There's a couple of details that could make that vandalism sticker on the left more accurate, the original font seems to be Helvetica Bold (probably the Neue version but it's hard to say for sure), not Arial. Really really close looking, but not the same. Compare the shape of the R letter and it becomes clear. The kerning on the letters is also a bit different. It's actually better on the reproduction version, the original one is way off. Check the huge gap between the V and the A on Kurt's. The one on the right seems to be taken from a picture of the real one so it's lower-res, but it's really spot on.
Harleys are made by CNC like other brands made them. The only issue of Harley Benetton is that they need an adjustment in entonation and sometimes need file the frets end. They are cheap but good guitars. Replica work is amazing. Great job from khristore
If you check again the Music Video of Come as You Are, I think that on the minute 2:34 of the song you can barely see Kurt playing the Telecaster at the background video. Maybe most part of the people here, already knows that I just wanted to mention it.😅❤
The Bleach songs being played during the demo kinda reminded me of the tone Kurt had in his Dorm K208 show, where they played their entire set in D-Standard and Kurt smashed his Hi-Flier into pieces
As a tele player, it’s always really funny to see a tele hater’s face when I tell them nearly every famous guitar player has owned a tele and loved it, with Kurt being one of them
tele singles smoke strat singles any day, something i didn't realize until i got a tele. middle on the tele sounds way better than the overly quacky strat in-betweens..... anyways, cool axe.
I'm a really big fan of country music so I was thinking about getting a telecaster anyway. I had no idea or must have forgot that Kurt played a telecaster
idk how I feel about this one. I get that you're paying for the attention to detail and relic'ing, but $530 is pretty steep for what is essentially a >$100 chinese tele copy with the wrong body and headstock shape, and some latex paint on top that takes little to no time to scratch off. No matter how much set up and fretwork you do, they are still made of cheap woods and pot metals not worth the money of upgrading. All power to you if you're just looking for a neat, detailed wall decoration though. Kurts teles are my favorites of his, so I guess I am biased and take it a little more seriously than I should.
Good luck if you can get any of those guitars that haven’t been auctioned off or destroyed or even lost over the years lol. The replicas are the best to go although he would deserve it referring to NirvanaGuitars that is
The Fender replica has some issues preventing it from being an accurate replica most notably the color of the burst. But..I own a lot of guitars and have played many years and for the money the Cobain Jaguar is a very nice guitar and sounds great as well. Get a pro set up and it’s amazing.
@nirvanaguitars, have you built the last telecaster that Ernie built for him to replace this and gave to him shortly before his passing? I’m strangely obsessed with that one, apparently it was his favorite before he died.

This is my favorite Kurt guitar. The shade of blue is very nice.
