    Two reasons I don't like corporate interviews:
    • I'm an introvert
    • You can't speak your mind here. You have to be diplomatic and pretentious...
    Not my type...

    • @jyothi1182
      @jyothi1182 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      This is so true..i get lost when they ask "tell me about yourself"..i can't define myself in one or two sentences....and if i sense interviewer is not paying attention, i don't feel like giving response..am struck in my current job for 8 years just because I don't want to give interviews ...

    • @tanishqvishwakarma5552
      @tanishqvishwakarma5552 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      In every interview u sit wether it is of ias or ssb or corporate , you have to be a bit diplomatic . Thats just an excuse to not try to improve as per the world demands you.

      @@tanishqvishwakarma5552 bhai aisa diplomatic sirf corporate mai hi chahiye
      I am a govt. engineer / officer, gave 4 govt. interviews and nowhere I was asked stupid questions like where do you see yourself in 5 years.
      Saab jagah max. engineering question and hardly 1-2 HR questions like are you comfortable with posting all over India or how will you tackle working in shifts?
      Beauty about govt. interview is your marks in written is given more preference and your technical knowledge. I agree there used to be lot of corruption earlier but now slowly but surely things are changing n all my colleagues are merit based allocation. You know once you talk with them.
      I guess for introverts govt. jobs are best

    • @tanishqvishwakarma5552
      @tanishqvishwakarma5552 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@raulgonzalez7216 you gave some good insight but i was talking specifically about this video. And where do u see yourself is 5 years, ye sawaal bhi nhi poochte hai bhai ab ,unles as a candidate you're a lost case or if the job position youre applying for is something like and HR or consultant jaha pe u dont have to use your brain at all.
      And the interview youre talking about, uska ans aapne khud he de diya ki written marks matter thats why interview m grind nhi karte hai but jaha pr interview imp hai like army, or ias, waha par dekhna, you have to be very balanced between being diplomatic and honest . And regardles, if youre supposed to lead a team of individuals under you, you have to be able to handle different kinds of personalities which is why they expect u to handle weird questions with logic, those question are meant to test u and shake u, no matter how much we mock them outside but they serve their purpose very well when a candidate is being assesed. And the organisation which produces quality results always grills their aspirants very hard , fir chahe wo corporate ho ya govt. It also depens what kind of role youre applying for.

    • @raulgonzalez7216
      @raulgonzalez7216 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tanishqvishwakarma5552 bhai sahab pehle toh sahi se likhna sekho seriously I am not trying to insult you but half of your writing is unclear. Eg like and HR or consultant and here I am not even mentioning spelling mistakes.
      Regardless I was replying to you bcoz you were trying to discourage the guy using wide range of sectors eg. starting from army, ias then corporate.
      I just showed him and even you that if someone is an introvert (myself included) but has good technical knowledge or any knowledge then he/she is always welcomed in govt. service where rather than your communication skills here knowledge is given more importance since written test are conducted.
      Don't know about army but regarding UPSC CSE just one thing youtube shorts wale mocks ke sawal nhi puchte hai. mere bhai waha bhi knowledge based sawal puchte hai to test your acumen, patience, ability to tackle situation. You may noy seem to know but in govt. service interview there's less of show off HR based questions and more knowledge based questions. And bhai I am not an aspirant or candidate upar ka comment phir se padh lo mera wala. Aur mere under kaam karne wale aapke tarah nhi hai thankfully. There's an old saying Give respect Take respect. I have friends who have cleared UPSC ESE, GATE working in profit making PSUs, Nationalized Banks, so I know for a fact the kind of questions asked in interview.
      You tried to discourage the main comment and I am giving him another way of getting a job. That's a big difference in there itself. I also know that competition is like a rat's race for govt. job but atleast there's not much emphasis on how you look or whether you are able to converse fluenctly in English like corporates

    I'm a software engineer, I explained that I took a 5 year break freelancing (writing) when I can as i was caring for my mom who was a stroke patient as well as my dad with heart problems and I was getting back to work now that they have unfortunately passed away and I want to move on with life and focus on my career. Several people asked why didn't I put them in a care home and suggested that I could be rusty as a software engineer to hire now since I've only been doing writing during the last 5 years... I am being punished for being a caring daughter and now i have 5+ gap years and parents gone too. I'm permanently unemployable. I'm also 36 now, lost my chance to marry because i was caring for parents. My partner waited for 3 years but gave up and married someone else because he felt I'll be stuck caring for parents rest of my life. Gap years is such mess.
    Because parents filed bankruptcy in my 20s, there were no savings, house, or any inheritance. Everyone kept telling me i was mad as there is nothing in it for me, but all i could think was making parents comfortable. I didn't think about the future. Everyone called me naive and that i deserve this misfortune but i still don't feel being there for them is the fault but the corporate world that's not forgiving of gap years is at fault. Not everyone can abandon their parents. Maybe I'm broken. My mom forgot everyone as her brain declined, only thing that comforted her was being near me. Even after she forgot who I was she got panic attacks when i wasn't near her. How could she have survived being looked after or be by strangers? Dementia is very hard, if there is no love dementia patients life is hell! I heard so many stories of abuse in care homes. Infosys and Accenture both told me i was just being pedantic in wanting to be the one to care for them so it's my own fault I'm not ready to rejoin workforce. I took refresher courses, but not enough for them. 🥺

    First of all, If anyone mentions accident, illnesses or maternity as a reason for work gap they have to submit relative proofs for it. No company will buy your lies blindly! And secondly, NEVER EVER MENTION THAT YOU WERE ATTEMPTING EXAMS ELSEWHERE! That's the worst answer you can ever give to an HR. It exhibits instability and HR will think that this is job is not your priority and you may quit anytime! You will be rejected for sure! Do you even have any hiring / recruitment experience that you are giving out such advises?? Don't mislead people!

    How about I wanted to travel and see the world! Why should that not be a reasonable response. We are not work horses. For companies to expect that humans not have a break but constantly work is the mindset we need to address. Not come up with responses that will be acceptable for a career gap explanation. It's no one's business why one takes a break. If your skillsets match that of the job requirement you should be considered. We are not slaves anymore, break this norm.

    Doesn't help when you look like a gym guy, healthy as a horse, raised in an orphanage, been single as Selmon Bhai all your life and have been nothing but a C grader for most of your student life..
