Rest in peace John. A great Derry man. And a relentless voice in the wilderness through our darkest years.

Would love to use this footage - what is the source/who owns the footage?

It's from the 1971 Thames Television current affairs television series ‘This Week’ and it was titled " Ulster - Whatever Happened to the Moderates?
I believe "Fremantle Media" own the rights.

It's an extract from a documentary filmed in 1971 called "Ulster - Whatever Happened to the Moderates?"

I patrolled those streets end 82 to end 84 as a young soldier in the British army, and without doubt, the Catholic population had it much much worse than the Protestant population. Looking back now after all these years, I can totally understand why the Catholic population were upset about how things were, and if anyone isn't happy with what I've said, that's just tuff. Quite frankly, after the miserable time I had out there; like most soldiers did, I'm entitled to my views.
