    he song in the clip was written and sung by Eamon Friel and it's called "Eldorado"

    Thanks for posting this. I'm from the bogside and was 14 when this was filmed, took me back in time, remember it well! Heartfelt song!

      @@judemorrow4892 he was a substitute teacher when I was studying for a levels at St Joe's. Very interesting man. His sister was also a teacher at St Joe's, Noeleen Ferry, who was an Art teacher and a beautiful person. She passed away some years ago.

      @@baz007 I’m writing a new novel based in Derry and was looking for footage of “old Derry” of the 70s and 80s - came across this and was BLOWN AWAY by it. Watched The Best Man 3/4 times in the last week!!!

      @@judemorrow4892 some show alright Jude. The houses in the opening scene , De Burgh Terrace, off Academy road, where I spent my formative years.
