It's just the how the song is, all songs are made in a certain era and if you associate songs with that time period, then some are gonna sound old and nostalgic
I think it's the thing of getting to kick back and relax after a long and intense adventure. This is definitely the music for it. I remember when I first beat the game. Closest I've been to crying for a video game ending, I would say.
