I love how SiIva exists in a perfect middle ground where the channel is popular enough for loads of casuals to know about it, but it's not at the point where big channels all over YT are aware of it, so every now and then a popular TH-camr (or their editor) slips up and uses a SiIva rip as background music, I haven't seen it happen too often, but it's hilarious when it does There's also this funny incident where Ludwig, while talking about Gilva's deletion, accidentally used SiIva's channel to illustrate what he was talking about Anyway, this is a really well-done and concise summary of the channel, I've only followed SiIva since 2021 but this video does a great job at covering the past and present of SiIva
moon i hope youre doing well, i see you around so many of the same videos i watch and you're a joy to come across every time, you're like a comforting presence in the vast ocean of TH-cam
I feel like Siivagunner is less popular but only is relevant because they keep uploading music. Because it’s always been a thing of the Internet people seem to ignore it in the channel keeps a low profile. I’ve been a fan since 2017 2018? And I’d say in some ways the channel has changed over time
one of my favourite things where a big youtuber was tricked was during someones pokémon melody where they accidentally used a "paint your wagon' rip four route 201
The funniest part about this channel is that with Nintendo nuking all music videos of music from their games, siivagunner videos are often the first result you search for trolling everyone even more. I remember a few years ago sheet music boss accidentally made a piano theme for the Super Mario 64 final boss theme but the guy making it never played the game so they recorded a remix of Owen was her by accident
this is the exact reason i despise siivagunner. i never found the bit funny but i'd at least tolerate its existence if it didn't get in the way when i tried to search for the actual soundtracks to nintendo games.
@@nevermind3476 well that's not at all the fault of SiIvagunner. That's just because of how TH-cam's search engine & various algorithms works. It's not like the people on the team are trying to trick anyone who stumbles upon the channel. We're all just having fun.
You forgot to mention how SiIva “We are Number One" rips were really important to help Stefan Stefansson (Robbie Rotten's actor) in his battle with cancer. Stefan lived a few more years thanks to memes, which included SiIva's rips, and that's something he was forever grateful of. Rest in peace legend.
@@joshuaherrera9804 I believe Siiva even began the We Are Number One meme, posting the first rip on September 2nd 2016, titled: “Hilltop Chase - Kirby Super Star”.
I love how SiIvaGunner has re-influenced language enough that the actual term for extracting music from the games has become a meme in and of itself. Very high quality.
@@sddlol19in one sense you could see ripping as literally like ripping a piece from a steak (taking out a music piece from an ost) but in another you could see ripping as R.I.Pping, as in, saying farewell to the original (because it's been replaced by a remix)
The pun has at least one other layer... that I'm sure most of the people who replied to this comment understand, but don't explain as a joke. I hope I'm not being too obnoxious by explaining it. It might help non-native English speakers avoid some embarrassment... ... ... ... ... Ripping also refers to inhaling intoxicating smoke from a glass tube, which is named either onomatopoeically, or named after the feeling of being pleasantly indisposed or "ripped". The comment that SiIvaGunner left on this video plays on the two meanings of "high" and "rip".
No, Gilva was indeed first. That they ended up closing shop amidst the waves of channels being taken down for uploading Nintendo music also probably has something to do with it.
@@mattgroening8872 for april fools 2021, to coincide with Super Mario 35 and 3D All Stars no longer being available in stores, siivagunner held an event where Mario mysteriously went missing. they removed his name from all logos for his games (ie rips for games like Super 3D World and Super Kart), while in lore Sonic and Luigi looked for him. they even privated every rip on the channel that featured any instance of mario for a couple days. it ended with a rip of SiIvaGunner: Rebooted where mario backwards long jumped back into existence
Yeah tf you mean,[REDACTED] Never existed, but i remember luigi having a brother, but [REDACTED], the sibling of luigi, gone missing on the 31st of march
When Mario 3D all stars was made to be a limited release people joked that Mario was about to die. The Siivagunner ran with the joke and had an event where they pretended Mario never existed. So instead of having Super Mario Galaxy it was called Super Galaxy
Surprised you didn't explain the "high quality rip" joke, since that dates back to even before the 2008 SilvaGunner channel - when people were manually ripping audio from games, curating it, and sharing it online. Most games didn't have official soundtracks, or if they did they usually only contained a few tracks or were mixed differently or were only released in Japan, so if you tried to find game music it was always of wildly varying quality. RIP GilvaSunner - lots of the copyrighted tracks that took them down still don't have official releases. I'm always grateful to SiIvaGunner for bringing attention to this plight and of course for bringing us only the highest quality rips.
One of the most favorite event from siiva is that every 1 or 2 years they are making the rips from any game soundtracks that only contains the words "goodbye", "the end", "game over", "final" and similar words like that in the title, and then they stop uploading for 1-2 months so all the followers thinking that the channel is ending (although they are always coming back again after that).
KFAD is legit one of my favorite things that ever happened on youtube. I'm suprised it didn't get a mention, considering how much effort the channel put into it.
It got a mention in the appendix, but that’s it. Honestly I had to choose between KFAD and fusion collabs, and I felt like KFAD would be too deep a rabbit hole. Looking back, I didn’t entirely understand how significant it was and how much people loved it.
a video about the tournament subculture that kfad started would be really interesting, as far as i know no one's made a video about it. if you do make that PLEASE talk about mashup week, it's a fantastic kfad inspired tournament that needs more eyes : ) @@froginaboxVEVO
There's something very fun and cozy about Vinesauce Joel being tied up in all these momentous Internet occasions- Granddad / SiIvagunner, The Evil Farming Sim Game... A strange legacy for a very cool Swedish guy
He's responsible for tons of small-scale memes that grow way out of his audience. We can't be forgetting Mug Moment, or popularizing the term glizzy now. He's not solely responsible for that last one, but he definitely contributed at least a little.
The best part of SiIvaGunner to me will always be that despite his popularity, every now and then he'll still get someone big. My favorite instance of this is still a really popular multi-million sub music channel, Sheet Music Boss, transcribing one of his covers of Ultimate Koopa and treating it as if it was the original. It's always such a fun occurrence, and it's nice to see it show new people what the SiIva crew is about.
thank you so much for this video, KFAD and KFAD2 were genuinely some of the coolest things ive ever seen on youtube and im happy to see the people behind it getting more attention
@@fireballninja01King For A Day. A vote-based battle music tournament between rippers of the SiIvagunner channel at the end of which the winner gets to run the channel for a full day and get their own event. The playlist for it still exists, and it's... It's amazing.
The old age of SiIvaGunner was pretty wacky. There was the 9/11 event, a slew of Green de la Bean rips that got taken down because of the sheer loudness, and several rips being dislike bombed because of Snow Halation (which not only pretty much resulted in the entire lore happening, but the song is now well loved). There's also been times, mostly in recent years, where SiIva had to break the usual "Write the video description exactly like Gilva's" trend by adding the artist of the joke. This usually had to do with either Ken Ashcorp (for whatever reason I never found why) and Kiara because of a "Sunset Heights X HINOTORI" rip trolling her a little TOO well. For the latter, the video description also changed the playlist link to the link of the joke
@@sticlavoda5632 People forget that back in 2016, we were still riding on the coattails of Newgrounds biggest names like Egoraptor, Edmund Mcmillen, Hotdiggetydemon, etc and those guys were ALL ABOUT being edgy and obnoxious. @@digiquo8143 Oh I understand that, I am not too greatly critical of it. I think people vastly exaggerate it as if it is some moral evil. At most it's just trying too hard, and at the time people didn't view it as cringe so it's more of a revisionist reason to hate on the history of a channel.

Awesome video! I'm really impressed at the historical accuracy regarding the channel origin. Siiva has been a massive part of my online life all the way back since February 2016, and it's always nice to see people discuss and appreciate it!
Thanks so much! I think this is the most fun I've had making a video, and it really helped me appreciate what you guys do over at SiIvaGunner. Edit: Since you're a team member, I was thinking I might mention something: The beginning of the song 'I Welcome the Darkness' from Deep Rock Galactic is absolutely perfect for a nutshack rip. I'm just saying ;)
One positive thing about the negatively impacting incidents and removed videos are that they aren't forgotten. The team may face them head on and talk with the community about these topics, no joke... ...until more light-hearted fun is made out of those events, never forgetting about them but still acknowledging them. One example makes for one of the reasons why there are so many rips of one particular track in the Kirby Planet Robobot playlist, and why one of the segments in the "I love Beijing Tienanmen Fusion Collab" includes an image with Felix The Cat and a render of Kirby in the Robobot Armor.
I as well am curious about what has been privated or removed. I've been a casual follower of siiva from the very beginning, but I'd never say I had a deep knowledge of the inner workings to the detail of this video. Very curious about what they decided to go back on.
@@therealmarioplumber7440 There are two big incidents I can think of. One was an incident in which a former channel member uploaded a rip of the Puzzle Room theme from Kirby: Planet Robobot that contained a reference to a Russian Felix the Cat bootleg game where the game over screen shows Felix ripping his face off. Only, instead of showing this comparatively more tame artwork, the rip instead showed an image of a dead infant with the condition Harlequin Ichthyosis, which caused a person's skin to become discolored and cracked, exposing the flesh beneath and causing immense agony. The other incident was a rip of a Caillou game uploaded around Halloween, which contained a video from the Worldcorp ARG which, unbeknownst at the time, contained footage of actual child abuse. Both of these rips have been removed from the channel, but have been reuploaded by other channels elsewhere. The Puzzle Room incident still occassionally gets referenced to this day in rips, while the Caillou one has been understandably ignored due to its association with actual child abuse
@@therealmarioplumber7440Well, from what I remember. The two events I remember that were deleted were these. A rip of the Puzzle Room theme from Kirby Planet Robobot. It was based on the Felix the Cat Russian bootleg game over theme. That game over is infamous because of... that picture of Felix. Well, the rip tried to emulate that shock... a little TOO well. There was text saying "continue?" And the "yes" and "no" options. Well, a hand moved toward no and.... An image of a Harlequin baby showed up on screen.... Yeah, that was distasteful to say the least. (Also, do NOT Google that.) The other thing I remember.... Was a "Jetsons" themed event on... erm, let's just say on the anniversary of a VERY bad day for America in 2001 that we'll "never forget".... Which was, needless to say, tasteless.
@@dataexpunged4784 Jesus that’s horrible. Very glad to see them become more strict with stuff like that, though I do find it a bit odd they would continue to reference the puzzle room theme
I remember loving the original Silvagunner, a looong time ago. It's crazy that all it took was 3 copyright strikes to take down 7k videos, and it was just...all lost. An entire archive of videogame music (with many songs that could only be found under that one channel) was gone. And it's really, REALLY weird that everybody knows Siivagunner, but not the original. The parody has become more popular and well known than the channel it was referencing. Imagine you create a username, and someday somebody adopts YOUR username and makes it famous; as if it's wearing your face; it's a false identity. And nobody was around, so they don't know. Great video man, I'm glad you got to shed light on everything.
Yeah, that's something about this whole situation that still rubs me the wrong way. The Siivagunner team puts a lot of work into the content they make, but the fact that their name is essentially a stolen identity that the OG SilvaGunner did not in any way consent to is very off-putting. It's one thing to be a parody of something else, but i really don't think using a capital "i" in place of the "l" is enough.
siivagunner has fostered such an amazing community around it, this channel is the reason i met most of my friends and we've known each other for like 7 (lol) years at this point. i am very very grateful for siiva, and seeing a video like this makes me really happy
Holy shit, never drew the connection between SiLvaGunner and BrawlBRSTMs. Also thank god SiLvaGunner was actually a channel that existed, almost everyone I've ever talked to about it denied that they existed, so I thought there was the possibility that I just imagined it.
My history with SiIvaGunner isn't as far reaching as a lot of people's since I only started actively following the channel between 2018 and 2019. Still, this video put a big smile on my face, it's so fun to remember channel events and even the most unexpected occurences.
I had a mental breakdown when I saw that SiivaGunner and GilvaSunner weren't the same people lol. I thought it was the same channel, with original OSTs and mashups
Oh nooo XD I can definitely see how you could think that, and I feel like I also wondered if they were related somehow, channel-wise, before I found out!@@Vomitaco15
The thing that bothers me about these channels is that there is soooo much videos that the insane amount of work will get buried under a mountain of new videos, I didn't know about these collabs, and I will never know so many of them
I clicked because I do in fact know this man, and honestly the silvagunner community is one of the best TH-cam communities I've ever been a part of. Once upon a time, I listened to every single rip. I did that for a full 5 years. I witnessed the channel end several times and revive with deep lore to accompany it. Nowadays I'm a casual listener, I listen briefly in the background while I figure out whatever else I want to watch, but it's still a joy for such a channel to exist.
14:00 best named high quality rip is "Overworld Theme (Original Version) - Super Mario World" Since the melody is changed to song that koji kondo got inspired by when making the overworld theme. so it is the original version :D
The funniest thing about Nintendo Italy accidently picking the Siivagunner rip is that they looked for the song on youtube, which is ironic considering that Nintendo copyright claims channels who upload their music
Great video! You covered the essentials of the channel very succintly and gave a good summary of events. I'd love to see a video delving further into the storylines, and of course some deeper coverage into the King for a Day tournaments. If you ever need a SiIva historian to talk to or help summarize events that the Wiki is a bit too dense on - I've been watching and paying close attention to the lore since the middle of Season 1 in 2016. Reach out and I'll gladly help!
Mel, I saw your comment when you first posted it. I just wanted to let you know that when the time comes, I may need your help for a KFAD video. I assume I can find you on the SiIva discord?
Something worth mentioning is that during its heyday, the SiIva channel was uploading a new rip _every hour, 24/7._ At some point they switched over to uploads every two hours, which is still insane even for a fairly large team.
Definitely - their upload schedule is still crazy. Fun fact - from the start of the channel to June 4th of 2023, there have been 779 hours of videos uploaded, or around 32.5 _days_ worth. (I could scrape the list of videos to get newer data, but it takes a while.)
I think my favorite rips on the channel are the ones that are completely made up (Green Hill Zone - Super Smash Bros. Melee, Tutorial - Kirby's Epic Yarn, Final Boss - iCarly (DS)). They just feel like really cool "what if" scenarios.
This channel honestly boosted my love for music in general, whether it's game, pop, or even classical music, the things the channel put out made me learn more and feel more aware about TH-cam and internet culture. But my favorite thing about it (as well as music mashup channels like DaymanOurSavior) is that it makes random fanbases cross paths with each other and make all sorts of crossover jokes between any kind of media, no matter how niche they are, there is always something for everyone (in game and meme communities, at least), it really makes me hope for a KFAD 3 some day so that all of us can get ourselves hyped up over some musicians and fictional characters.
i remember getting obsessed with those high quality rips and listening to the playlists from my favorite games, i was then treated to "chip da ripper", Thanks siilvvaaagunaar!
I remember watching an Ocarina of Time retrospective by some guy who grew up with the game and had this whole emotional segment in it about how much the game meant to him, and how much he wanted to be a kid playing the game for the first time again. It had the file select/fairy fountain theme from the game in the background of it, but it was the SiIlvaGunner version of it, which had George Michael's Careless Whisper softly playing in the background in the OoT soundfont. I'd heard this version before while searching for the song and not knowing who SiIva was so I instantly noticed it. I still find it funny to this day.
this is just nothing but a trip down memory lane for me, dude. i just feel that wave nostalgia rushing through me when watching the beginning part of this video. i remember getting in on the high quality hype train back in late summer of 2016. haven't checked back on what they've been doing since 2019, but it's cool that they're still around to this day. the fact that they can still get many people bamboozled by their works to this day is such an incredible feat that i don't think any other parody account could ever manage. overall, this was a wonderfully well-documented video about the most infamous parody channel on youtube.
Great video, as a SiivaGunner fan since summer of 2016 I have watched over 10,000 rips of theirs and it has been a great experience I won't forget. And yeah like you said, the SiivaGunner iceberg is huge, there is so much lore, inside jokes and rips with extremely obscure jokes some which have not been figured out yet, it would great if you continue the series of explaining more about SiivaGunner if you could. We need a good historian who could archive these great memories in a video.
Bro I hope that this video gets pushed by the algorithm. I watched the SiIvaGunner channel a lot and I still did not know the lore, so I am glad I know it now. Plus the video was super high quality for a channel with less than 2k subs. And even if the algorithm doesn’t push this one, if you keep making videos of this quality it sure will soon.
Honestly best channel on TH-cam, glad to see a video essay on him they’re few and far between Edit: that alpha rendition happened at the end of the Minecraft event, (alpha version & beta mix) and it is genuinely one of the most beautiful rips on the channel. It was such a good event and I’m glad to see it here Edit 2: you better cover woodman, the man, and yeah good idea to not go into the drama
I was going to put a >:] at the bottom of the video description but TH-cam doesn’t allow angled brackets. I absolutely should cover woodman at some point.
Rather appropriately, I was prepared for a generic TH-cam video essay but ended up with a High Quality TH-cam Video. You did a good job explaining and I admire your willingness to not cover topics you didn’t want to misrepresent. High Quality Rips are a very particular form of art that I think merit more discussion than they get. It’s a unique feeling listening to them, and also creating them (even though I am relatively untalented at it). Also, I hope you do make a video on the story arcs and characters, because even as a fan who has submitted to the channel, they can confuse me at times…
The only thing I felt should've been mentioned is another channel based on the original GilvaSunner runner (TimmyTurnersDad), TimmyTurnersGrandDad. While it has its own lore and story, its rips are no less high quality than SiIvaGunner's, with many rippers being active on both channels.
>you've never heard of everyone has heard of them at this point ...except big TH-camrs it appears because this like the third time I've seen a video on them since 2017
This was super cool to watch! I was introduced to SiIvaGunner in 2016 by a friend of mine. One such memorable meme for me was We Are Number One. Though I do remember some of the history, such as GiIvaSunner's termination, it was very interesting to hear about how even further back SiIva's legacy goes! Thanks for the high quality video!
Thanks so much! I went down so many Siiva rabbit holes a few months back, so I decided to turn them into a (mostly) concise history of the channel. Now, rather than going down a days-long rabbit hole, people can just watch a 20-minute video! ...And then go on a days-long wild goose chase.
I love SiIvagunner so much, and this is an amazing video! I can’t believe such a tiny youtuber with this High Quality is still so small! Keep on chugging my man, this is fantastic! 👍
This title is partly true, since I first heard about SiivaGunner back in 2016 when the channel was originally "ending". So I never knew about its existence until it first wrapped up before a Halloween Event started.
This is such an awsome video! Ive seen all these SilvaGunner channels around youtube for the majority of my time of the internet and didnt really know there was so much to it! Thanks for making the cool video dude!
Thanks for the well-put-together video! I remember finding the Gilva/Silva/Gunner/Sunner channel very intriguing and mysterious. I realized I unironically loved some of their rips and I listen to these to this day
I have heard of SilvaGunner and have been subscribed for a while. I can’t escape your video in my recommended for some reason, so, here you go. You have my view.
this video is extremely well made and way more indepth that i was expecting on the channels initial origins haha, extremely good job on this also a fan of how you use rips throughout the channels history and not just its early years
Siivagunner as long since been one of my favorite yt channels ever. It expanded my music knowledge so much along side with introducing me to 1 or 2 games I didn't know about. It's always a pleasure to find new rips that are so pleasent to hear (some of which are playing on the background of this vid, thx for dropping the rips in the description!)
Like most people, I found Siiva through complete accident, mistaking the Stardust Speedway Bad Future track from Sonic Generations, and I fell in love with the channel ever since.
If anyone is wondering, the binary in the background (01110010 01101111 01100111 01100110 01110010 01101111 01101111 01100111 01100110 01110010 01101111 01100111 01100110 01110010 01101111 at least i think) comes out to rogfroogfrog but i think i might of messed up because it seems like its just saying frogfrogfrog and so on but i got froog so idk.
I’ve known about both of the latter two channels for ages, and at first was confused by them but got it eventually, however I had no idea there were two that came before!
Thank you for bringing up the original SilvaGunner channel from 2008. I remember following that channel back in the day. It’s crazy how pretty much nobody knows about it now.
I generally enjoyed the video, but a pet peeve of mine is when creators get bogged down with, "There are some unsavory aspects I don't like. They're so extreme that I can't even describe what they are. But I will keep talking about how unsavory these aspects are and how much I don't like them. They are really bad. So bad. Really really bad. So bad I can't stop talking about them. But I can't tell you what they are." The whole thing grinds to a halt with personal offense over non-information. Consider the tonal whiplash when you, the video creator, spend almost the entire time effectively creating a documentary and then stop to describe at length how offended you are over something that's not even relevant enough to include in the video.
First off, thanks for the feedback. It's always great to hear what the community thinks could change/be done better. I'm still learning the ropes, and I've never really made a video of this kind before. My reasoning was this: The SiIva team made some bad choices early on. Ignoring them would be the wrong thing to do, as not only should they be held accountable, but I'd be leaving out a notable part of the channel's history. Mentioning it would also be a great way of illustrating how the channel has changed over time. The problem was that I didn't know if I could cover them in a professional way, especially since I don't really know what I'm doing. In hindsight, yes, the segment dragged on for too long but it wasn't a matter of ranting over a personal offence. It was a matter of not yet knowing how to properly make documentary content like this, whilst also feeling SiIva's controversial incidents should not be overlooked. If you would like to learn more about these incidents, I recommend taking a look at the SiIvaGunner Wiki.
By far one of the coolest channels I've ever seen I kinda regret not knowing about them sooner when they were first taking off but being along for the ride now is still great
Watching video essays, related to things like whatever you call this, internet lore, gaming, whatever, it leaves me with goosebumps... And the fact that most of these I find are from small channels that barely have any views, and the one video that blows up, stands out of other videos they have are video essays, it's quite amazing. The amount of work people make on video essays.
Aww, thanks so much! :) And I totally get what you mean about the internet lore thing. It just blows my mind that there is simply SO MUCH stuff out there, a lot of it which has fascinating stories that never really see the light of day. There are also mountains and mountains of content that will just be forgotten forever. I don't want to use the word, but "wasted" data. I don't know what it is, but all that 'unknown-ness' is just so fascinating. And this video is about relatively well-known internet lore. Just imagine what else is floating around!
GilvaSunner wasn't deleted, was it? I swear i've seen some videos from the channel while compiling my Kirby Playlist Edit: It's a channel called GilvaSunner: Archive, which i think is reuploading some of GilvaSunner's videos or something A tribute of a Tribute lol
this is a really cool video, as someone whos been following the channel since early 2016 its especially awesome seeing you cover the channel as it is today in as much depth as you did, so many of the other vids ive seen about siiva just stick to 2016 & thats it when thats only a small fraction of the significant things thatve happened on the channel
siiva is honestly one of my favourite channels on youtube, if not creators in general on the entire internet solely because of the sheer determination for high quality, the creativity, the uniqueness, the variety, the consistency, all combined into one single being, which is siiva. I'm glad they're getting the recognition they deserve, because they really deserve it. I hope kany more people will find then through this video or on their own and get tangled into the deep beautiful rabbit hole which is siiva. phenomenal work, keep it up my man

I'm honestly mad that some soundtracks got blocked from gilvasunner, they were really good and had some of my favorite games, it was sad to watch them go
Surprisingly good video. Clicking on this video I was like ''Of course I know who SilvaGunner is, come on everyone knows them!'' But it turns out it's about a very similar channel, caught me by surprise, pleasantly.
It's possible that SiIvaGunner wouldn't happen if it wasn't for GilvaSunner. This was great! GilvaSunner will be missed, but at least we have SiIvaGunner.

If you search Snow Halation on Google, Google will give you the link to a SiivaGunner video stating that it's the original song
Lmao
this is the exact reason i despise siivagunner. i never found the bit funny but i'd at least tolerate its existence if it didn't get in the way when i tried to search for the actual soundtracks to nintendo games.
@@nevermind3476 understandable, I honestly love bait content, don't know why

You forgot to mention how SiIva “We are Number One" rips were really important to help Stefan Stefansson (Robbie Rotten's actor) in his battle with cancer.
Stefan lived a few more years thanks to memes, which included SiIva's rips, and that's something he was forever grateful of. Rest in peace legend.

I love how SiIvaGunner has re-influenced language enough that the actual term for extracting music from the games has become a meme in and of itself. Very high quality.
As a non-native english speaker i thought ripping had a similar meaning to remixing until recently.
@@sddlol19in one sense you could see ripping as literally like ripping a piece from a steak (taking out a music piece from an ost) but in another you could see ripping as R.I.Pping, as in, saying farewell to the original (because it's been replaced by a remix)

Ripping also refers to inhaling intoxicating smoke from a glass tube, which is named either onomatopoeically, or named after the feeling of being pleasantly indisposed or "ripped". The comment that SiIvaGunner left on this video plays on the two meanings of "high" and "rip".

@@fireballninja01 King For a Day and King for Another Day (aka King For a Day 2) were the 2 biggest channel events Siivagunner has ever undertaken.

What were these controversial events and rips anyway? I’m very interested now that he brought them up
I as well am curious about what has been privated or removed. I've been a casual follower of siiva from the very beginning, but I'd never say I had a deep knowledge of the inner workings to the detail of this video. Very curious about what they decided to go back on.
@@therealmarioplumber7440
There are two big incidents I can think of.
(Also, do NOT Google that.)
The other thing I remember....

But I can't tell you what they are."
The whole thing grinds to a halt with personal offense over non-information.
And he's never made one of Radiant Silvergun as far as I can tell.
By far one of the coolest channels I've ever seen I kinda regret not knowing about them sooner when they were first taking off but being along for the ride now is still great
14:46 What's the version of get lucky you're using here?
nothing huh?
It's a high-quality rip of Can You Really Call This A Hotel, I Didn't Receive A Mint On My Pillow Or Anything (OST Version) from Undertale.
Rip Status: Wait a second, this isn't a rip. Where am I?
Watching video essays, related to things like whatever you call this, internet lore, gaming, whatever, it leaves me with goosebumps... And the fact that most of these I find are from small channels that barely have any views, and the one video that blows up, stands out of other videos they have are video essays, it's quite amazing. The amount of work people make on video essays.
Aww, thanks so much! :)
And I totally get what you mean about the internet lore thing.
I swear i've seen some videos from the channel while compiling my Kirby Playlist
Edit: It's a channel called GilvaSunner: Archive, which i think is reuploading some of GilvaSunner's videos or something
A tribute of a Tribute lol
I only pop into SiIvaGunner's channel every couple months but every time I do, I have a blast listening to only the highest of quality rips
Since Gilva's gone, many searches for video game OSTs have led people to discovering SiIvagunner content. Such a well-made video!
This is a truly incredible video. very excited to see where you go next. I'd love to see a series around SiIva lore
At some point down the line I'm definitely making a KFAD video.
this is a really cool video, as someone whos been following the channel since early 2016 its especially awesome seeing you cover the channel as it is today in as much depth as you did, so many of the other vids ive seen about siiva just stick to 2016 & thats it when thats only a small fraction of the significant things thatve happened on the channel
You have made some of my favourite rips on SiIvaGunner, and I can't believe you found my video!
Spamton Space Jam has been stuck in my head all day.
@@froginaboxVEVO ❤
It was a sad day when Gilva posted screenshots of hundreds of manual takedown notices on their twitter and were forced to close up shop
siiva is honestly one of my favourite channels on youtube, if not creators in general on the entire internet solely because of the sheer determination for high quality, the creativity, the uniqueness, the variety, the consistency, all combined into one single being, which is siiva. I'm glad they're getting the recognition they deserve, because they really deserve it. I hope kany more people will find then through this video or on their own and get tangled into the deep beautiful rabbit hole which is siiva. phenomenal work, keep it up my man
ah yes the "silver gunner"
Post Elvis of Pizza Tower fame! Awesome to see you here!
Great video! I feel like you should have mentioned Siivagunner's King for a day and King for another day since they are probably one of the biggest music projects in youtube's history!
I'm honestly mad that some soundtracks got blocked from gilvasunner, they were really good and had some of my favorite games, it was sad to watch them go
Wish I could learn about the controversial content that can't be found anymore :/
Same
there's the one fortnite rip with yoda saying the n-word at the end
I had no idea the current silvagunner channel isnt even the actual one
Surprisingly good video. Clicking on this video I was like ''Of course I know who SilvaGunner is, come on everyone knows them!'' But it turns out it's about a very similar channel, caught me by surprise, pleasantly.
I always assumed it was just one dude changing his channel name around not the original guy, his fans, and a parody of his fans. Good video.
2:07 I have literally never heard of TimmyTurner's Dad till now, I guess that explains TimmyTurner's Grand Dad now lmao.
I'm glad you learned something!
I love how all the music in this is SilvaGunner's scientifically distorted stuff
Like most others, I discovered him during 2016.
I was always fond of his Undertale rips.
17:36 I love how PointCrow was just going along with it up until he heard the transition and had done a double-take.
It's possible that SiIvaGunner wouldn't happen if it wasn't for GilvaSunner.
This was great!
GilvaSunner will be missed, but at least we have SiIvaGunner.
