- One of my all time favorite video game music classics, here's the "Ending Theme" from the Super Nintendo entry into the Mario's series Super Mario World! The arranging in this piece was already incredible, so I gave it the full jazz orchestra treatment it deserved with some classic big band Count Basie swing, and some uptempo Broadway magic! Blending together timeless musical themes from Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, and more then re-arranging them in genres and styles of all musical inspirations, The 8-Bit Big Band has members from all around the world, but most reside primarily in New York City, and are some of the most highly sought after musicians and performers.

Clicked on this immediately after seeing it show up in my notifications. The Super Mario World ending theme is one of my favorite ending themes of all time, and you guys completely knocked it out of the park! This is seriously amazing.

"One of my favorite ending themes of all time" doesn't really say very much, since you're cutting it down to just ending themes. Personally, it's one of my favorite themes in all of video games.

That piano stride section was just beautifuly conceived. This and Tom Brier's version are on the top of my list of the best piano VGM arrangements ever. Love this music!
Now that you mention it, I think the piano stride part was influenced by Tom Brier sub consciously! I've been a fan of his videos for many many years ever since I first heard that zelda horse race video he did totally off the cuff, what a bad ass mofo.

@@afonsoalves7377 I had to check the comments right after hearing that key change at the end. I'm so glad many people remember Tom Brier, he's just the best ragtime player out there. Being able to play again would be a miracle, but he can still compose on the special iPad his friends brought him.

I think that sections of this were for sure influenced by his playing, he is a bad ass and I've been a fan for a long time!

Has there been any news from him? I remember binging his sightreading videos and finding out he had been in an accident and hasn't been well since. OK but the ragtime section at 1:09 coupled with the Dry Bone hitting the skull in time to the clippy cloppy horse shoe sound??? WE APPRECIATE THE DETAILS...... I would love to see you actually feature Tom Brier in one of your masterpieces when he gets better... He's an EPIC player and this reminded me (and a lot of others I'm sure) of his playing!! I've seen a lot of your videos over the years and I think I finally figured out what keeps me coming back. Back when I was a kid growing up with Nintendo games, the music always captivated me. It was fun, it was charming and bubbly and innocent and unique. The memories brought back to me by that music are priceless and they have outlived a great many other memories from my childhood. Your ability to put a fresh, whimsical spin on those same songs is something that returns me, however briefly, to those feelings of childhood innocence and wonder. I know I'm not alone in this, and I just want you to know that the music you all make really touches some of us. It's special.

I remember the first time I beat this game with my brother, I wasn't even 10. We sat through the whole credits, just elated that we managed to beat bowser and get to the end. real happy memory for me. it's lovely to hear a great, full-band arrangement of it. thanks, 8-bit big band :D

My God I have goosebumps.... thank you so much for this. The wave of nostalgia, the eargasm from the beautiful music itself, and the accompanying animations adding a certain charm that is making the kid in me so excited. This is a perfect package for anyone who grew up playing and loving SMW.

I'd argue that the second half of this piece (2:24 and after) would be perfect bow music for a Mario musical!
Man, this and Tom Brier are the best versions of this song on TH-cam... Tom beats the big band just barely because he takes the last chorus slowly, like a kick line. If you guys took that last chorus slowly you would have the perfect arrangement!
