Didn't realise you posted this! 😅 But congratulations again on the win, was truly a pleasure commentating this one. I agree with the comment about being able to hear the players as well, I did a few streams with player audio back in the day that worked quite well, but they are more challenging to do from a production stand point.

I was skeptical about this format but actually really enjoyed it! Great game! Think it could have been even better if the commentators could have listened in to the VC on the stream

I don’t understand why the blonde commentator mocked blacks picks. As a commentator, you should at least try to understand the player’s thought process, which he didn’t. Black can reasonably assume that blue will not take both the 5 9 10 and the 6 5 11, which leaves them with one or the other. Both pair very well, and honestly, I think black starts with the best setup. Minimum of 3 points of every resources, a great port, another great settle option, and the best road potential.

Sorry to bring some negativity to the table, but also wanted to give honest feedback.
Neither is it a knock to the two commentators, I think they did a great job of being insightful and engaging. I just personally prefer the format of being able to see exactly what your cards are and to hear first hand your thought process.
This first person experience is such a great way to turbo charge ones learning and in my experience is one of the best things to come out of the Internet. Easy, free and abundant access to the thought process of the best in the world at any given activity. What an amazing pedagogical tool.
