@@sgtsalt3578 His fault for streaming the game. He should put a delay on his stream if he doesn't want to be watched. What DyLighted is doing is essentially like playing with all your cards face up, which is actually forbidden in the game's rules.

To get win your turn no matter what you could have also built a settlement and then used rb next orbit. Why not do that?
He got the road building in his last turn. You can't play a dev card the same turn you get it.

8 3 4 sheep wood at bottom left and 6 3 11 I think was the best position for you. You were always gonna have to trade or port for wheat anyways

I was thinking similar but buying the last dev gave him the knight he needed to guarantee largest army, whereas there was no guarantee he was taking longest road as red should've connected for 8 roads. He would've then needed 3 roads on top of the road builder to take longest road. Better chance of knight plus settle with 2 wood in hand than rb plus 3 roads with 1 wood in hand

i think people disregard longest road way 2 much. I don't think it's reasonable for a game like this to end with someone winning with a meagre 6 pieces road. either red or puprle should have aimed to 3-10-11. red not doing it even in the end was a terrible blunder.

The probability of a specific number roll is the same every time, but the probability of it not rolling decreases the more rolls are made.
@@Lekiamh All rolls are independent. What you're saying is pointless since the outcome of the previous rolls is already known. The next roll is always an entirely independent event, so it doesn't matter if the number didn't come up for the last 10,000,000 rolls or if it rolled 10,000,000 times in a row. It's always equally likely on the next roll.
@@Ohrami You're just repeating what I said. It's the same as flipping a coin. You can make a bet about flipping tails 10x in a row, and you have a pretty decent probability that it'll come true. But make a bet about flipping tails 1000x in a row, and suddenly your odds are much lower. That's the same principle as rolling with dice.
@@Lekiamh Yeah, but that's never relevant in a game of Catan, for the same reason your chance to win the bet that tails will roll 1,000 times in a row is 50% if it already rolled 999 times consecutively just before you place the wager.

Idea and requesting an opinion: how do you feel about two people playing this game on one account. One is a main player, controlling the mouse, chat or voice chat. The other one has resource physical cards in front of him and always knows what someone has in hand. Making notes, predicting players cards and their plans. Cheating or God-tier strategy?

You may as well make a program to keep track of what cards people have. It's no different.
@@Ohrami Yeah true, a person helper or a program it's basically the same thing. I guess it depends a bit on how good the program is, does it get all the information instantly or does the player have to do anything manually.

Could someone explain why he pointed towards the four wood instead of the 8 sheep wood port late in the game?
Having a city and two settlements on the 4 wood with a 3:1 port makes it a free card + 1 wood every time it rolls, but the sheep port settle does the same thing while also turning the sheep into a free card. I don't think it can be about resource production.
My only thoughts are that he was either worried about red plowing him or that he was banking on a backdoor longest road.

Getting road is much more valuable than the wood port there. You aren’t getting much wood bcuz you only have the 4, and you want the wood anyhow for longest road potential.
There should be a new meta where you team up with one other person to get you both ahead. Just ask for it when you join a game. You literaly could skyrocket to 50% wr in theory if other players dont do this as well.

You should have taken the 3 4 8 at the bottom instead of this sorry set up. 3 4 8 and 3 11 6 would have been perfect. You worried too much about not getting the 4 11 with 3:1 port. I think that was a mistake. It is not that great of a spot. Plus, you never even considered 3 4 8 with sheep port access at the bottom.
Your gameplay is decent and your table talk is the best. The way you convince people of trades and non blocks is pretty amazing. But your initial placement wasn't that great. Also, the only reason why you even came close to winning was because you were very lucky. 3s rolled pretty often. And those VPs, of course.
